Alex nodded “very and since you get a discount you can pay for the bill.” He halfheartedly before sliding out of the booth to stretch. Digging in his pocket, Alex pulled out his wallet and laid down a 20. “This should cover what ever your discount doesn't pay for, thanks for the company Kent.” Checking his wrist Alex realized he was already behind schedule for his nightly patrol. He tucked his food under his arm, deciding not to seem like a jerk and left Lexxi a tip despite what he had said earlier. He didn't want to seem mean in the eyes of Kent. “See you tomorrow”

"alright. See ya." Kent breathed a sigh of relief when he left. "okay now can we have that meeting so I can actually try to sleep early and be more productive in class tomorrow?" He asked as most of the family had nodded. They had all arrived through the secret entrance by now. He followed down to the cellar of the pub. The meeting lasted an hour. He was to take care of a younger lamia than himself who would be in his class. He would only be teaching the kid in his class alone. "alright. I guess you're coming with me then?" He asked as the kid followed him closely. He would also be a legal guardian to his young relative. He led them to his home, several streets over. Jeremy would have to be introduced to the principal and have that class set up with him. He would be in each class that Kent had. Only because he needed some type of schooling and to be watched. They moved in from another town as they were almost caught.

Within the hour, Alex was stalking the streets of the city. He mostly wore an entire ensemble of black with a nice blazer that hid many of his staple weapons. He had altered his appearance slightly so that he wouldn't be recognizable should he run into any of his students or co workers. This of course included slicking his hair back into a ponytail and donning a pair of aviator glasses and a baseball cap. His father had told him about a possible nest near his house. Alex spent most of his free time staking out many of the local joints that were popular for typical vampire flair. After hours of listlessly observing the places he came across nothing and decided it was time to call it quits when he heard a drunken garble of a scream. Alex rushed down the alley way. It was to late to save the man, his eyes were already glossed over. Quickly reaching into his jacket for a stake, Alex aimed for the demons heart but she turned around throwing a punch into Alexs chest. Even with the bib of blood covering her face and chest Alex knew the girl to be Lexxi. Her now red eyes narrowed on Alex as she lunged to attack him. The two bodies trashed about the small alley. With a small opening Alex snapped her neck. While Lexxi struggled to gain her bearings he staked her, twisting the wood into her heart till she slumped over. He didn't leave until he had decapitated her and burned both her body and her victim in a bond fire. Tired, Alex walked him with many questions buzzing about his head. As he drifted asleep on his couch Kent came to his mind but he dismissed him as a vampire since he actually walked in sun light.

Kent had heard the thoughts of Lexxi before they went silent, someone had gotten to her it seemed. He figured it was because she hadn't followed the clan rules and made herself a target. She had usually done this but it was becoming a bit unnerving for the family to deal with. They had set down rules to follow to stay alive. 1. Do not leave any traces, or attack humans. 2. wildlife can be a good substitute. 3. blood banks are our friends. Nobody in the family would miss her since they all knew how she was. She was always loose and sloppy, leaving them clean up her mess most of the time. He sighed, trying to get to sleep after 1 am. He knew there were probably hunters around, he just could not detect them since they were apparently pro.

Alex woke up in the morning with a slight headache. Some how he had made it to his bed before his roommate decided to come in from her late night venturing. While Alex showered for school, his dinner spun in the microwave slowly sucking up radiation, filling his entire apartment with the smell of beef. In the shower as Alex cleansed himself free of dried blood Alex wondered if he should say something about Lexxi to Kent. When he finished his morning routine he made sure he had enough money to supply his drinking habit and left for school. He arrived with enough time to check his students test, and correct papers. It was then he notice his agenda was missing.

Kent had remembered the agenda after getting to his class. He thought he should return it. He would do this after writing a small note after his damage on a notepad. It said 'Sorry. At first I thought you were kind of a jerk, not letting me sleep and all. But you didn't notice this was gone, so forgive the doodles. You're actually not half bad.' He then drew a half body of himself blowing a heart similar to something that would happen from sailor moon. He went to the other room, knocking on the door. "here. I found this yesterday." He said as he left and waved. He didn't want to stick around for the other to see the damage done.

He grimaced at the images on his agenda quickly tucking it away before it became an offense to his man hood. Before he could thank Kent, he was gone. Alex took the agenda out again at lunch when he had some time to himself before his students would come in. He read the note trying to remember when he had been a jerk. Nothing really came to him as he munched the last of his burger. He decided to go and visit Kent and ask him about the graffiti. Alex found his class room with no trouble and knocked on the door wondering if he was inside.

Kent had just finished lunch, putting everything away. "hmm? Come in." He heard a knock, not really paying attention. He had been sketching in his sketchbook when the other had come in. "oh...Hi." He looked up for a brief moment, noticing he had his agenda with him. He wouldn't look him in the eyes now as he felt a little bad for doing that. But really he'd done that during class before he'd gotten the dinner offer yesterday. Things were going to be a little awkward to explain. He waited for the other to speak before he would even look up at him.

Alex let out a sigh and bit back his usual angry remark. It would have only proved his agenda right anyways. “yeah hi, so question where did you find this? Because apparently that person looks like a cute anime person and I don't know any one that looks like.” He paused looking at his agenda as he stroked his chin. “Nice drawing though.” Alex looked at him with a sarcastic amused stare honestly not sure whether to be angry at being called a jerk or pleased that some one drew all over his note book.

Kent still didn't give him any eye contact, fearing that he would be mad. "Uh...well you did leave it on the table. I guess I was a little peeved since you kept bugging me while I was trying to sleep.." He looked down until he heard that he couldn't recognize the image. "what. Really come on..." He stood up doing the pose he drew. "no idea hmm?" He went back to darting his eyes from contact with the other.

He stood with his mouth open watching Kent letting him stand there in the pose before laughing. He took out his phone and quickly snapped a picture saving it forever. “Ah, so adorable. I can not wait to show my roommate this... better yet perhaps I should show your family at the pub.” He mused with a devilish smirk turning his head so he could make eye contact with Kent. Alex walked closer to him giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder. “Well sorry for waking you up.”

"Actually my family knows of things like that and don't bother me about anything. So your efforts would be in vane. You have a roommate? I....just got one as well sort of. Family issues so I'm looking after my cousin. He's going to be here practically stalking me all day. He's homeschooled though so he'll just be in the back with me doing his homework packages." He didn't want to say anything more as he remembered him saying something about his posing was cute. He was shocked to find that he was actually blushing quite a bit at the statement. "Yeah, I like my sleep and can be a bit moody without."

“Uh-huh” Alex narrowed his eyes not sure if he believed him or not. “Well we shall see what we can do in photoshop then show your family.” The news about a cousin joining him seemed a bit strange. “You have a large family, must be nice to be the responsible one that every one likes enough to let you take care of your cousins.” Alex walked over to a desk and took a seat on top of it. “As for my roommate she pays the bills, can't exactly afford to live down town on a teachers salary and still have gas money.”
He shook his head at that last comment, noting the blush on Kent's face and raised his camera to capture the face so he could keep it. “Well some one has to wake sleeping beauty”

"Ah yeah. Though I hate all the pressure they place upon me. I mean this kid is pretty much a brat and does not take authority well. He's like a mini Lexxi." He said, knowing she was gone now and this kid might have the same fate if he doesn't smarten the hell up. "oh. Yeah I guess. Though I wouldn't know since I lack a car and don't really need one to go where I go." He blushed more if possible as the camera snapped. This was another funny thing about lamia, they could get their pictures taken at least. Unlike some of the species lower than themselves. He twirled his hair in his fingers at the last comment, darting his eyes away again. Why was he getting so flustered over those comments?"

Alex's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Lexxi, Kent's family must not have informed him that the girl was missing. “well if your cousin needs help with history let me know I can help him out, also if you need a ride any where don't hesitate to ask, I only use it to go to work so my car pretty much spends its life in the parking lot.” Alex tried to remember the last time he had actually be out to have fun. Seeing that his face was redder, Alex took one last picture before slipping his phone into his pocket. “Whats his name and when is he moving in?”

Kent nodded. "His name's Jeremy. He's currently alone at my house right now getting unpacked. He'll be here starting tomorrow." He couldn't help but laugh at the thought of the car having a life. How dull would that be. "haha. that poor car. 'd hate to see it if it could talk to you." He teased, lightening up a bit and being less awkward. He then thought about their dinner, how he'd wiped his mouth instead of just saying he had something on his face. That thought made him blush like he did at the pub. "Oh yeah. Why did you do that yesterday. Wiping me clean instead of just saying I had something on my face?" He asked a little awkwardly.
