well for one it does not match with my own, for two it is hard to tell when something is happening since all of it is written as happening in the instance it is written with no respect for time and third because it triggers my reading issues and mangles up all the words into a pile. i have to strain and read very slowly(sometimes out loud) to read it


of course the unofficial but obvious reason is also that it's the hallmark of someone writing a book with pictures in it which require overt and immediate narration for a very young audience

I find the way you're acting to be incredibly condescending and rude. I have done nothing but treat you kindly and with welcome arms since we've met and have received nothing but snobbery in return.

You were the one who approached me for an rp, so I will not be too bent out of shape if I am forced to drop this rp. I have plenty of others that I can rp with, not to mention a few new groups and projects I'm keeping an eye on, and I would much prefer to rp with someone whose cranium is not firmly clenched betwixt their bum cheeks.

There are solutions, however, if you're still aiming to rp with me. You can either drop the inane ramblings about tense and the pretext that you struggle to read writing that deviates from your style and accept that other people who rp differently than you exist and are no better nor worse than you. The other option is that you can choose to ignore all I say and continue living your life in a sheltered bubble.

or, i can hear what you say and accept that is how you feel and just not rp with you. i feel a little gypped that i did not get what i asked for despite asking for it twice now. i read this great post; http://trisphee.com/forums/showpost....78&postcount=1 and i thought you were perfect. there is a strong understanding of flow and you kept things fairly consistent. i really /really/ wanted to rp with the person who wrote that and i still do but i dont feel that, as of right now, you are giving me even half of that. i am getting the same old junk i would expect from someone who did not have the capability i saw in that post. i was rude, i understand that, but i am also quite disappointed with what i got out of you

i also would like for you to understand why i personally keep saying i cannot read that. when everything is not very carefully written in a concise way(and occasionally even when it is) the whole of the writing comes out like this;

i am a very prolific reader but i am not without issues and while i understand it is nice to be as free as you want with words and styles sometimes it can hurt the story for the other person. this is why i seek out partners instead of letting them come to me. i want to be able to read and enjoy what is being written instead of having to sit for several minutes reading things over and over so that i may guess as to what is being said

Not every post is going to be five stars, and it's unhealthy to hold myself or anyone else up to that standard. I'm sorry if you feel that way, but I focus more on the rp content, not on verb tense. It's unfair to immediately disqualify anyone, not just me, as a potential partner simply because of 'flow'. After all, rp'ing is working together on that flow. If you can't find it within you to work together on that, then perhaps your disappointment should be targeted at yourself.

so i should be disappointed in the fact that i have a reading disorder that you dont feel compelled to work with? ok, i am disappointed that i inherited an inability to read all levels of writing and i am very disappointed that a person who is perfectly capable of holding themselves up to standards THEY have not only claimed they could do when implored to do so but have also shown me they can do will demand i just turn off a handicap to make things more easy for them because anything other than that would be disappointing

on a related note;

rp'ing is working together on that flow. If you can't find it within you to work together on that, then perhaps your disappointment should be targeted at yourself.

giving a person an ultimatum to do it your way or to not do it at all is the opposite of working together. it is however the definition of hypocrisy

I can see nothing I say is going to get through to you, no matter how civil and well written my argument is. You're simply convinced you're being persecuted. I have asked for your cooperation and I have received none. I'll be happy to rp with you again some day if you're willing to treat me well, but for the time being, I do believe our rp is over.
