I thought it would be beneficial to make a thread here, so I could cook up some plots for rp threads and keep things more organized and easy to find. If I'm rping with you and you need something from me, I think it's easiest to come find me here!

Not only that, but I'm a bit of an rp addict, and I'm always looking for some partners to rp with. I'm very flexible, so long as you don't mind me writing a wall of text now and again, heheh

so what (non fandom) genres do you like most?

I've fallen in love with modern fantasy, but I'm also really starting to get into high fantasy, like what you'd find in a D&D campaign. Sci-fi is also pretty fun, like the kind you'd see from Star Trek. I tend to enjoy thrillers and mystery sometimes, but my absolute favourite plots always come from watching the characters develop.

I actually don't like fandom stuff much. It never seems to have a lot of story and plot to it, in my opinion, but it may just be I'm not a good fandom rp'er, heheh...

What about you? What sort of things do you like to rp?

I didn't meant I'd rp in either D&D or Star Trek fandoms, but that the feel of the worlds would be similar. Both of them tend to be about exploration, so I suppose that appeals to me the most.

I think I can agree with you on the school thing. I've never understood school rp's...

Is there any kind of genre you enjoy rp'ing the most? I would hate to be the one to dictate everything, I'd rather you have a say in what we rp too!

it's a power thing with dominate and submissive clearly defined, it's also the only genre where you dont have to do any world-building you only have to pick out the 'type' of world as set by several predefined measures. it is basically the cop-out genre XD well, that and the only one where pedophilia can be done without people getting up in arms


i like high fantasy and slice of life but you prolly dont want to see how intensely i require my fantasy to be so prolly just slice of life ^^;;

I mean this: Star Trek has a different feel than the Sci-Fi of I Robot, for example. Star Trek has it's focus on exploring and tends to focus on moral dilemmas I Robot is about moral dilemmas too, but it isn't about exploring as much. There's more violence in I Robot than there is in Star Trek, and in Star Trek, the violence is used to accomplish different goals. The overall 'feel' of one brand of a genre over the other is really something you just sort of pick up after a while, so I may not be explaining it right...

I'm not too into pedophilia, but I do enjoy genres with defined submissive and dominate positions--provided they can change. My whole thing is character development.

However, if you're talking sex rp's, I'd probably be cool with it so long as it's not pedophilia and you're over the legal age limit of where you live.

I don't usually like slice of life rp's, unless it's a slice of life in a unique setting--maybe in WWII or a slice of life on a starship.

sorry sweetheart, i have a little bit of an issue with dyslexia and if i cannot read what you write clearly i cannot respond(it really does not take much either, sometimes even properly done phrases can turn into mush because one word is off or the tense changed). it does not help i am a tense nazi and require that my partner be able to hold their own and make regular plot-conscious decisions. i am not for newbies for sure and can come off as a dick(i dont mean it though)


i am 24 so i am legal everywhere XD though, i don't really do anything mature with new people since that requires a lot of understanding of what both chars would say/do/think/feel/like/understand and i would need to have enough confidence that my partner is equally able and over twenty(under that and you are a child in my eyes regardless of location). i will not do worse than flirting or, if the plot requires it, smoochyfaces XD


hurhur, i have done seriously fucked up stuff with slice 'o life, dude. astronauts, prostitutes, vampires, possessed rabbit-dudes, pen genies, psycho book-shadows, preop transvestites, mentally unhinged cross-dressers, andy worhol wannabes and cowboys to name off the ones that are not fairytail riffs or too complicated for four words or less XD

I'm sorry to hear you have dyslexia. I normally try to keep my work well written, but if there's any sort of changes you need made to make things more readable, I'll be happy to do what I can.

I, too, am of legal age, though I try to keep my personal information off the internet, so I'd rather not share my age. There are some crazy people out there :P

I have to say, I think I'd enjoy a slice of life rp like that. So long as it's not too normal, I'll be fine! I hope you don't mind a little weirdness on my side either. I've got quite an array in my little peanut gallery, heheh.

it is generally not a problem unless i am grinding through something junkily written or emotional enough to not be paying attention(i am a bibliophile so i do a lot of reading and have many tricks), your writing is quite well done compared to some of what i have managed so i am not worried and weird is welcome


sorry i am talking strangely, i am very tired and it is way past my bedtime, do you have any plot ideas before i mosey off? i would like to start something by tomorrow night at least

I'm not sure if I'll have an rp going by tomorrow. I'm busy during the week, but if we're going to stick with a slice of life rp, maybe we should try a psychologist and their patient in an old fashioned mental institution. Is there any particular role you like out of them?

i could do either, how well at you at remembering your char's actions? if you are fairly good you can be the doctor but if you are not so much it would be easier to be the patient since the former needs to have an agenda AND to be able to keep track of what they both have said and done while the patient can be entirely self-absorbed and not keep up with the day-to-day stuff

(i guess the fact that i already have an idea for an intro is a bit unwanted then? XD)


oh! there is one catch and the biggest issue i have, i only rp as a male and with my partner's oc as a male. i do not understand women and i do not enjoy working with the tropes and stereotypes of them

I'm excellent at remembering my character's actions. If you have an idea for the introduction, go ahead and use it! Also keep in mind that it's possible for the patient to know more than the doctor. There are very clever mental patients out there!

I'll keep aware of that issue. Most of my main characters are male. You might come across female NPC's here and there, but if you don't like those either, I'll keep them to a minimum too.
