Bald and loving it!

“I am sure that will never happen.”He said happily. Robin continued eating his fill and chatting with the other. It was nice to talk to Jerial rather then simply have him ghost about the apartment. Meekly he discovered a lot of things when the boy opened up, such as the small age gap between them. Robin was about to turn legal come his next birthday and Jerial was fresh meat, his favorite color was the colors of some famous team called the Lakers and the boy loved his mother a lot. Robin found himself grinning like a mad man as he fell on his bed. He was full and exhausted. Stretching on his comforter he found the book he abandoned and pulled it closer. He ran his fingers over its smooth leather binding. Trembling he hesitated, opening to the page he left off. There was something about this story that was starting to haunt his dreams. His eyes scanned over the first paragraph of his marked page, unaware that his body grew limp against the pillows.

something was off, the reader was distracted by something and it could feel the ties pulling the reader from it. tightening it's grip on the reader's mind it tried to keep the story
robin landed harshly on the floor at the feet of a field mouse leaving the poor thing startled. wildly the poor creature began shrieking about intruders and tiny humans and flipping her skirts every which way and trying futilely to find a place to hide and when no harm came from the strange human creature her shrieks soon turned to worry that it was hurt

Robin lay among the brown leaves that had fallen. He recalled his escape from the witch, and something seemed to interfere with his mind. He inhaled the winter air tasting the faint remains of chicken. It made him think fondly of... The prince! The squeaks near him grew louder and a fur covered hand reached out pulling Robin until he sat up right. The fuzzy face informed him he would freeze to death if he did not move and pulled him to his feet. Robin dumbly protested against the field mouse. He did not want to be another creatures breakfast. The mouse merely chuckled at his protest and continued to idly chatter away. He was ceremoniously dumped on a couch. "Who are you?" He finally found himself asking.

"i am miss field-mouse," said she and offered robin a curtsy, "this is my sweet humble home you have fallen into, who are you? what are you? where did you come from, i mean aside from my ceiling?" she paused for a moment and lightly sniffed the air. "why do you smell like magical things? didn't you know it is winter?"

He was assaulted with words and did not know how to begin to answer them. Robin waited until the mysterious ... literally named Miss Field mouse stopped chattering. "I am Robin, I am looking for Jerial, he was taken away from me by the Evil Queen." Robin hugged the warmth back into his bones by drawing his knees closer to his chest. "I know its winter, and I don't know what I smell like I can't smell myself... and" he frowned. "I... I don't remember where I came from."

she tsk'd sadly at the boy's predicament and tried to comfort him the best she could with such depressing news, "poor thing. poor, poor, thing! well i don't know anything about your jerial but if the snow-queen has them you will never get them back. you should stay here instead, don't bother risking your own life for a lost cause like that. it is cold outside and you will freeze if you try, stay here with me until the spring comes"

A crestfallen face found its way into the blankets that covered him. For a brief moment, Robin wondered if the mouse was right. He peeked up at the field mouse, strengthening his resolve. No, Baba had told him how to get his prince back and it was not to late. “Thank you Miss field mouse, but no thank you, I will freeze. I know my prince is alive even if he is in the clutches of the snow queen.” The cold ridden bones moved to leave the field mouses humble abode. “I will find him.”

miss field mouse was upset, and rightfully so, at the child's words. she had seen how cruel the harsh winder could be and had no doubt the cold would kill the poor boy before he had ever made it past her yard. loudly she tsk'd and thought of a way to keep the child safe out of the weather, "now, now, do not be like that. at least stay the night so that you may warm." she hoped that with a warm bed and a full belly she could keep him safe until the snow melted

Robin looked up at the white walls of snow that fell streaked across the sky clouding the hole he fell through. He turned and looked at the field mouse, she was right. If Jerial was not dead yet, he would alive for another day. He turned towards the field mouse and nodded. "Thank you, but will it cost me anything? And do you have any cocks?"

she shook her head. "no, nothing at all, it is what any good person would do, though glory no i do not keep those horrid things about. i would not trust one not to scratch up the place then come eat me right up when he was done." agitated she grabbed her tail and began stroking it, "but enough about that, are you hungry? i have a bit of cheese and a thimble of soup saved if you would like some, it will help warm you right up"

The corners of Robins mouth twisted into a warm smile. “thank you very much.” He said turning towards the fire and finding a spot to rest his weary legs. With curious eyes he watched the field mouse scurry about her room. Once he was given his meal, Robin started to rely his tale to the eager ears. The field mouse seemed eager to tale her as well as other tales she knew. She told him of rumors of the fairy kingdom, and the different seasons. Robin did not realize the mouses voice lulled him to sleep.

Robin woke to the a strange little tune being hummed. The abode smelled wonderful and as he moved he could see the field mouse scurrying about making alterations to a garment. The white dress looked lovely. He smiled rising from the blankets that covered him. "Good morning Miss Field mouse." He felt well rested since he did not have to fear cocks eating him.

when the child woke she perked up and quickly she finished pulling the thread through and securing the piece before setting the dress down. "wonderful news dear, just wonderful! after you fell asleep a friend of mine, the mole, came over and we had a lovely little chat and well one thing led to another thing and soon i was telling him about you and wouldn't you know he asked to see you, don't get me wrong you are a nice person and all but you are not beautiful but the mole, bless his gentle soul, he cannot hardly see at all and yet he took one look at you and said you were beautiful! he asked about you and your situation living here with me and i told him that you lost your love to the snow queen and were all alone and he told me he wanted to marry you! oh it is so exciting, the mole has been a bachelor for so very long and he certainly is not young anymore but he is very well to do and very sweet... well for a mole, and he is very smitten with you i can tell and i think you would like him too, he is very wealthy and has such a large keep and it is only him but it has it's perks, you won't have to worry he will be stolen away or that you will starve and if you don't mind any of that then you will be so very happy." slightly winded she stood and came to take robin's hand in her own, "say you will, it will make you both so happy and i do so love a wedding, i have even made you a dress. would you try it on?"

“If you say it will make me happy.” How the chattering mouse conned him into such a guise he was not sure, but one moment he was standing before her vanity the next he was disrobed and cloaked in a wedding dress of unusual color of cascading shades of blue and white. There were so many things that did not ring correctly in Robins mind, how could a mole marry a human, how could this mouse even speak to him. He fought to use logic that continued to escape from him. No, he wanted to see Jerial, but the mouse had assured him there was no hope. This quickly settled Robin into disappear at the dawning of understanding. Jerial was gone. “If you say it will make me happy...” He said again.
