Hahaha

It's beautiful but you have to get use to different lingo. XD

I remember coming over and hearing someone calling someone a cow.. I thought they meant the animal till my mom said, that means whore.. I was like, whoa..

Yep and a fag is a cig. XD

Also the accent sometimes makes it harder to understand what someone is saying.

I swear, I don't know where you lived before, because where I am in the states, calling someone a cow is a pretty common insult with about that meaning... And pretty sure cow still means cow, too, over there.

Differences in accents and vernacular and such always interest me.

I've always thought cow was a reference to an overly top-heavy build myself...

I lived in the country/small town and I never heard any American person call a female a cow unless they were saying the female was fat.

And don't give someone from Scotland the V sign, it means the same as the middle finger in America.

Ah, there's many different dialects, all depending what area of Scotland your in. My mate has a hard dialect sometimes to work out while my next door neighbour's daughter, I can make out every word she says.

... I know more slang than I should probably admit to. Granted, that doesn't mean I can use it worth a shit.

Some've the jank I hear 'round these parts is right trifflin'. A good amount of mixing and matching, especially if you keep company with different ages, it can be strikingly different. Gettin' harder to find folks with a strong native accent, too. Mine's a lot more Southern than the rest've my family, but even then it fades in and out a bit.

OHHHH SCOTLAND. <3
My grandparents are from Aberdeen, Scotland. They have accents and they are the sweetest people to have ever lived on this planet, I love them so much. ; A;

Yea.. when you live in a city or places where you have more different backgrounds, than you pick up on different slang. Where I lived, I only saw maybe one or two other Scottish people and my mom wasn't going to teach me much in the ways of Scottish slang. Through, probably would of been fun to call someone at my HS bugger and have them not know what the word meant.

A lot of people tell me I have an American accent but I am sure when I go back, my accent will be a mix of American/Scottish.
