They actually aren't copied. The names of gods that correspond between the two show similarities between those gods, however, if you take the time to study them, they really aren't the same gods.

It wasn't Zeus that ate his children. It was the Titan Cronos.

Gaia tricked him with a rock and he ate it thinking it was Zeus. Zeus came back and kicked his butt.
