Halfway down the hall the boy stopped in his tracks and turned around to see the strange man following after him with his arm still held close to his chest and an upset look on his face. Inhaling deeply, he let the breath out slowly while he watched with tired eyes. "You will not sleep on the couch?"

it was becoming wearisome to have the human ask him the same thing over and again but he did not have an answer with which to placate it and so only stared. this time it stared back until he broke the strangeness by pressing their lips together once more

Yet again, he could only try to pull away from the other but for the second time the stranger was prepared and an arm held him fast while the lips planted themselves against his own. His body continued to betray him as the sensation of the kiss took effect on his tired feelings and multiplied them so his will to make an effort to escape dwindled and left him accepting the kiss in stride. His eyes disappeared behind eyelids as he slumped against the other.

this his trap worked and as the human went lax against him he tested out his nails against the soft flesh and with a pinkie scored a mark across the tender flesh of it's shoulder and it flinched though it did not pull from the kiss. disappointed he let it free and pulled away to see it shake loose of his entrapment

(he chose five which is middle of the line, stays under his spell but still feels pain, that is not good enough the goal is to make the rest of existence fade away)

He tried to let his lips linger to mingle pleasurably with the other's for as long as he could manage, but as the other pulled away he was left with the chill of the air against his wet lips and nothing to lean against. Nearly he stumbled forward but was able to catch his footing and straighten himself to look up into those pale eyes. As they stared, he could feel his shoulder begin to sting a bit more as time passed until he reached back to feel the light ridge of a scratch. Word of a damned cat left his mouth no louder than an aggravated whisper before he looked up to see the stranger still staring. "You keep doing that."

regaining himself some he gave it a coy smile and a slow blink before taking it's hand into his uninjured one and pulling it to it's nest

As much as it bothered him that the man seemed to be making himself right at home by leading him to his own bed and inviting himself into the room and to the plush pillows and blankets that were not his own, it felt a bit reassuring that maybe he did not need to fret as much. However, his feelings of no longer wanting to do so much as bother trying to get the other to speak with him anymore was assuaged as they entered the bedroom. While they climbed into the soft sanctuary of blankets and pillows, his final effort on being independent was to lay off to one side and to scoot far enough away that they were not touching and his space was not invaded, but it hardly mattered as the other closed the distance and he gave up for favor of sleep.

he woke to the sound of a muted rough howl from the cat-aces creature and opening his eyes he stared down towards the entry-way of the room where it stood making it's warning sound. slowly his hand found the human's shoulder and he have a jab so it would have the sense to wake and frighten the small beast off

A low groan filled the air as he rolled away from whatever it was which made his shoulder ache, and from his back he was able to hear the loud growling that eminated from the doorway. Propping himself up with the use of an elbow, opened eyes showed the familiar sight of the cat guarding the doorway. The long tail could be seen extending into the air, twitching around as it and the feline's haunches rose higher and the face dipped closer to the floor. The mix of one gold eyes and one green nearly shown in the darkness as she prepared to pounce, but she was led astray by a well tossed decorative pillow which only made her jump up out of surprise. His voice was loud and low in the dulled silence of the house as he spoke the cat's name as a way of scolding. He watched as the sharp teeth could be seen in the low light as another hiss was offered towards the bed before she skittered back down the hallway.

his human may have been defective but it was at least able to understand simple commands and as it slumped back down he found it's shoulder for an appreciative nuzzle

He ignored the smooth cheek rubbing against his shoulder as the cat would have done as a request for a scratch, and instead rolled to the side to catch a glimpse at his clock. For nearly a minute dull eyes stared at the off white numbers while he tried to figure out what day it was and what time the clock read. Grunting unappreciatively at the clock as though it was its fault he had to get up, he left the pale man in his bed before going to find the cat and a cup of coffee.

his gratitude was wasted on it as the human slowly pulled from the bed and escaped. offering a sound to match it's he did not bother to leave the comfortable nest

The first cup of the bitter brew was enough to widen his eyes and give him zing to function without shuffling around, and by the second cup he noticed that Aces was watching him from the counter with a hungry look of forgiveness from the morning, and promise of love if he was willing to open a can of fancy feast for her, and he most certainly was. With the beast content and himself feeling energized on a buzz of caffeine, he left the kitchen for the hall to check on his stranger.

it was not too long before the human came back for him and he was quick to slither from the soft warmth of the human's nest and slide up against it in a cooing manner

For fear the man would steal his caffeinated beverage he held the mug high enough to keep it safe, though as the other only wanted affection as a cat would he felt better about keeping the drink close. With a free hand, he gently patted the long tangle of hair before trying to free himself from the insistent rubbing and need for affection. "You are not a cat, stop that."

he was not but he saw no reason why that would prohibit him from his current actions. moving away he did however give it some space and kept his arms down to his side
