My doofy little pixels are enough for me, and after awhile I cannot work on them much more for that given evening.

You see, that is a better reason to get up early. xD A not good reason of getting up after sleeping for only about four hours is to put up Christmas decorations before it is even Thanksgiving.
I am glad you will have some more time to spend with him though, it is always nice to visit.

I am trying my best to recover, but the doctor said it might take weeks before I am up to par entirely.
And I hope you don't get sick, it really is a bitch to get sick. ;-;

But yeah, some people are putting up their decorations here.
It's perfectly normal.
The only time it WOULDN'T be acceptable here in Canada, were if they put up their Christmas decorations before November 11th.
One town put their wreaths up on the street lamps before Remembrance Day this year and people FLIPPED.
Any time after is okay though. >>

I probably won't get anything worse than a head cold.
I usually get strep throat once a year, but I already had a really bad throat infection this year so I think I'm good.
And I never get the flu. Haven't had a flu shot in...10 years?

It is not a myth here, lol, obviously.
I would just think that at least wait until after Thanksgiving has passed to put up decorations, but my mom has the weird tradition of putting them up the week prior to our Thanksgiving because she wants them up as long as possible and does not want to put them up the weekend of or after Thanksgiving.
It always means I have to get up early, and this year we have a new tree so it meant more work than usual, and a lot of scary moments. xD;;

Yeah, when you almost have pnemonia you need a lot of time to recover. >>
I have never gotten the flu, fortunately enough, or strep, but I have a number of lung issues so that is what I am hit with at least once a year. xD;
I guppose it is good that you already got sick this year so that perhaps you won't soon, or will not have it as bad.
