Yeah, it went from theme 'lonely/different in the big city' to this... I am not disappointed. Thank you. :)
And, have a good time with your mother! It's such a precious thing. I still live with mine, but the illnesses and age are getting the best of her and I really do wonder - for how long more will she be with me? So, how I can, I try to make this time good. I am not sure about distances, is it far from your home? ~ Hello, I am Sadrain, a ghost Caracal, but you can call me Rainy. No it's not bad, and my mom is not exactly old, just had hard life and lot of health problems since childhood. She's very active in her mind and keeps up with world and there isn't a thing we can't discuss. I am sure she has more open and interesting mind than quite many people even in their 20's and 30's.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back in here... Um... Where to begin? -_-'
My hubby was working for IBEW (Electrical Union), and was let go the last week of October. No warning or anything. The day they let him go, he comes home with a two hundred dollar phone and contract and every intention of getting another job as quickly as possible. He took 2 weeks before he started looking for a job, but he was looking into positions that he wasn't exactly qualified for, so he never got any call backs. Miraculously enough, just enough money for rent and food managed to fall into our laps, so we made it through until he started temp work for a friend of his. He worked on and off for about a month, but by the time our daughter was ready to make her debut, he hadn't worked in weeks. I haven't seen him putting in applications, and like I said earlier, it's seems like he doesn't want to work. So I'm putting in applications and hoping for the best. I hope you're enjoying your time in Nashville. I bet your mom really likes you being down there with her. Sadrain, if your mom likes nature and is able to get out and about, take her to a nature trail or something. My family and I went a couple of weeks ago to one over by the Chattahoochee River. It was paved, and up to the 1.5 mi mark was pretty much level ground. It's something I wish I had known about before my grandma had passed, she would've loved it. :) World's worst for poofing during a conversation. Sorry. ![]()

Sadrain I know so well how you feel. My mom was sad I was leaving in the morning and then I got all sad, argh. Anyhow I try to be strong and not show her that I am affected too much as I don't want her to be sad. Especially since I will see her again in 3 months for her 90th birthday. My mom had me quite late in life.
On a happier note, I am trying to think of something happy to say...Choco you are real lucky so that is a happy thing to have a mom who is still in her youth or prime. I am really happy for you. Do you have brothers/sisters, large family or small? Are you all close? Sadrain my mom lives 700 miles from me, a 2 hour flight but I only have so much time off and so far I am spending it all coming here. I came in March, now July, then in October I'll come back, so that is a goodly amount of time. Bless you all for listening to my sad thoughts, sorry. Kilala, I sympathize, you are really special and strong to do what you have been doing which is stepping up to the plate to be the breadwinner. You and I both. But a man's ego is fragile I guess, women are stronger I think if I can say that and not be chastised for being sexist against men. But it does seem as if sometimes they take these things harder and think that there is no place for them and everything is useless. What can we do to get our guys over this hump? You are doing what you have to do, getting ready to look for any kind of work. But my guy, your guy...idk, nothing is happening inside, internally in that place that makes one get out bound and determined to do anything to support one's family. I don't mean to be too hard on them, God knows it is a terrible place to be in, to not have a job, but I just want to say to my guy look, if I can do it you can do it! I would love for there to be a way to sort of prod mine without him taking it as total criticism. And thank you about my mom, it is so nice to be here in Nashville and I do look forward to coming back again. :] On the other hand oh how I want to be home! Hehe. I used to have a sig. Really.

But sometimes old people think that you really aren't sad you're leaving, if you don't show it... And well, it really is quite the age. It's good to have your mom with you for so long.
And wow, that really is quite the distance. ): But at least you can see her that often, not just once in a year or something. ~ Hello, I am Sadrain, a ghost Caracal, but you can call me Rainy. Wow Choco, your mom is even younger than mine! I thought I had a pretty young mom of 42. We are pretty lucky to still have our families around.
I am the oldest child, and my parents are 2nd-oldest (dad) and middle (mom) so I am one of the older cousins on both sides. My grandparents are all still with us, and although they are beginning to get more tired and fragile they are still in good health. My husband, on the other hand, is the middle child of middle/younger parents. Both of his grandfathers had passed on before I met him and he lost his grandmother this last summer. It wasn't a sad passing, though. She was in pain and ready to leave. This signature intentionally left blank.

Haha, that's pretty awesome. If my mom drank at all, she would probably still get carded. She doesn't look 40+ at all.
Here is a (one year old) photo of me and my beautiful mom! I'm sorry to hear about your bf's dad. :( At least he has the time to say his goodbyes. This signature intentionally left blank.

That's fine, you don't have to if you don't want to. I don't see the harm in sharing with whoever wants to.

true~ but i am a weirdo, i like to see people as they like to be seen, it saves me from assuming things about them and changing my feelings over them based on looks ^^ i am intelligent enough to know and understand that i am as a human incapable of remaining objective on the matter of looks and do prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt

That makes sense. I guess I don't see my avatar as an expression of my inner self so much as an artistic challenge where I get to match and dress up. I mean, sure, I do have a specific style that I usually go for in my avis. I guess I...just never thought of it that way. That's pretty a pretty cool thing to go by.

I like when people are able to hide even their gender like for example wayyy back when(when I was still on zantarni) I had a friend and he always had a female avvie and everyone thought he was a female. I felt so bad when he came out and told us he was a male. But its pretty cool how people can even do that kind of thing.
