He had to chuckle a little when he noticed the light she had summoned. "don't like the dark I take it?" He found his odd humor in this but never spoke more of a word on it. Unless it was the dark fairies of course they would dislike the darkness. "Either way this cave shouldn't be too long, then we can go about freezing for miles in a blizzard." His words proved all too true after another half of a mile of walking and they were out of the cave. Though he seemed to pause just outside of the cave, truth be told he was debating the best direction to take.

Dalea looked at him indignantly. "I have no problem with the dark." She stated in a rather proud tone. Then she shook her head. "I just am not fond of running in to things or bashing my head on a low-hanging part of the cieling. I especially hate tripping, because you'll never know where you land." She thought she was now babling, but it was ok because she looked out in to the blizzard and swallow a little audibly. "Thats a lot of snow."

"More then i ever wanted to see in my lifetime that's for sure." He sighed a little before bothering to take a step. "Well might as well get this over with.. Though we have two choices of paths, one goes through the mountain, probably more caves. The other goes around and will take longer." He seemed to wait for her to pick one, he cared less either way, both probably had their own dangers so it probably didn't matter that much.

Dalea looked thoughtful as they started out into the snow. After a brief shiver, her magic kicked in to keep her warm. She looked at Var and thought. "Well, how about we go through the mountain? There is less wind chill." She was doing that for his benefit, knowing he might last longer if his nose didn't snap off from frostbote.

"Also a chance at a frost wyrm but it would be the shorter of the two routes.. " Even a fairy would have issues with a wyrm, maybe the luck they had would hold out long enough to avoid any type of dragonkin in either of the two areas. Though after the snowy wastland and the next range of mountains he wasn't sure what to tell her as far as directions. Maybe something would work itself out. "Well lets get moving before we freeze standing here eh?"

Dalea blinked at him. "A wyrm, huh?" She muttered as she walked. She'd met an actual wyrm once. He wasn't the nicest creature she'd ever come in contact with...but then again, she had constantly harrased him. She nodded to his suggestion, trudging through the snow. "I just don't want to run in to a ghast." She shivered slightly at the thought. Ghasts were sort of like evil spirits, but they could actually hurt you or suck out your life energy, eventually turning you in to a hungry ghast as well.

He laughed weakly at her mentioning of another beast. "that.. also would be good to avoid yes.. among other beasts of these parts." Though he knew the luck they had would run out sometime, they had a smooth trip up until this trek. "Lets just go with thinking we have the devil's luck and nothing will go wrong eh?" Though the further they walked the more and more he feared that something was going to find the both of them, and it wouldn't be friendly. At worse they could cross paths with the ice fairies, he wasn't sure how'd that go with how he was branded back at Dalea's capital. Fairies were hardly ones to keep such information of a captive escaping to themselves.

Dalea didn't know why he laughed at her mention of ghasts. Those creatures were evil incarnate. Dragons and other fairies they could talk around, but not ghasts. She started to have a creeping feeling going up her spine, making her raise her shields a little more. She touched his arm slightly, to tell him without speaking that she sensed something.
