Heh. Might be there just to be annoying. I wouldn't put it past the programmers to do that.
Cheers to Bethesda for making Skyrim's NPCs hard to kill! Anyone who has played Elder Scrolls games has no doubt found themselves in the situation of trying to fight around an NPC that insists on getting in front of you while you are trying to fight a monster. They don't seem to understand the concept of 'not-helping!' I've lit Lydia on fire a couple times, and given her an accidental smack and she's still alive. :). My horse is tough too, which is a good thing...

I wonder if they fixed the bug where on PS3 if you made a new file it would autosave over your previous file and there was nothing you could do about it. D8
Anyone get that Dog on your team? I forget his name, it starts with a 'B' or something. He's part of a quest (and is invincible) but if you never finish the quest he stays with you. xD I like using him as a distraction so I can take out enemies with arrows but he's always pushing me into traps and down holes. |D

I'm not sure whether they did or not, Taiki. When I started my new character, I backed up my old save on my flash drive just to be sure, but it didn't seem to overwrite my game.
Has anyone found the Falmer armor yet? I gather there's only one or two sets in the entire game. It's pretty good, roughly on par with Orcish, but it looks ridiculous. At least on females (I have Lydia wearing it until I can get her some Ebony). Kind of weird that it provides so much protection when it leaves the wearer half naked. They don't even get shoes! I just cleared Volksygge, a pretty long dungeon west of Solitude. Started with bandits outside and in the first area, then draugr as I got deeper, then spider tunnels, then more draugr. Fought my first ever Draugr Death Overlord in there. He was fun... opened the fight with disarm, sent my Ancient Nord Hero Greatsword (Epic) of Freezing flying away, had to pull out my backup Skyforge Steel Greatsword to finish him. Wish I'd had a grand soul gem... Anyway, the exit led to a mountaintop with a dragon rune and the dragon priest Volsung, so, all in all, it was pretty rewarding. The Draugr boss's chest had some really nice loot in it. Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

Oh, Taiki, I just read, it's not really a glitch. What happens is, when you first play the game, the game makes a hard save right when you create your character (note, not an autosave, a regular save). So, if you save over that when you're playing, then go to make a new character, that save gets overwritten by a new hard save. So I guess the idea is to save in multiple slots to be sure.

Skyrim is my first Elder Scrolls game, and I have to say that I'm in love.
Lydia died on me today... I was trying to sneak into this place for a Thieves' Guild quest, and she decided to storm the place via the main road..... she never had a chance against those Marauders. The stupid twit never was very stealthy. I've killed maybe 3 or 4 dragons outside the main story. I watched a Giant take one down in about 6 hits and decided I didn't want to get close enough to raid the dragon's carcass that the Giant would notice me.

There's a video on Youtube of some guy deleting his girlfriend's save since she was apparently addicted to the game... her reaction was, well, I suppose somewhat to be expected, but still, it's just a game.
Honestly, after 75 hours on my first character, I was getting really bored, which is why I started over from scratch. ;) And you know what? That was really fun! I played for like 9 hours straight last Saturday with my new character, it was like a different game almost. I'm also finding that running in and swinging a claymore around is way more fun than tip-toeing everywhere in sneak. :p Heavy armor is overpowered though. >_> Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Decided to toss sneaking after I ran a quest with Farkas, and my horse really doesn't help matters. Apparently they bond to you after a while.
I've only killed 2 dragons so far, one storyline and one other. The second that I saw flew away before I could get it's attention. Not that I was in a hurry to while standing out in the middle of a field with my newly purchased horse.

Whenever a dragon attacks me in the wild- I lure it back to the closest group of people. I let them keep it's attention while I go put my horse somewhere where it can't see the fight- then go kill the dragon.
I've had everything from bandits to villagers help me kill dragons. My Lydia died. In a dungeon she was helping me kill a ghost guy and he was MEGA powerful. I had to beat him by running around a table blasting him with spells while he kept chasing me. I really need another Housecarl. I'm pretty much just a lurker now. Do NOT call me Lady!!

Do you have the Dragonrend shout? It makes dragonslaying pretty simple. Just hit 'em with the shout, wait for them to land, then start hacking away.
I'm pretty sure you can get another Housecarl if you go do quests for one of the Thanes of the other Holds. i haven't tried yet, though. Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

Oh, also, just upgraded my weapon for the first time in a while today.
Pretty, no? It can one-shot regular dragons and two-shot blood dragons. Haven't tried it on anything tougher yet. Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

And here I still have my superior steel war axe and my Skyforge guy. I need to up my smithing one more tick so I can work with other materials.
Encountered another dragon just as I was about to dismiss my current follower. Wasn't the toughest guy in the world. I think my follower pretty much killed it with arrows. I launched a few, and from what I saw it had some good health left until is landed, dead. Not sure how that happened.

I made my first suit of Dragonplate armor today. Was all excited, only... now I need to wait until I can get 100 enchanting to enchant it (at 87) since I want to double enchant it.
Into the house-chest it goes, for now, I guess. Made a Daedric greatsword, too, but same thing. Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

Well the elves are out to kill me now. Which is good in way, because now I don't have to try and make nice on my next quest when I have to deal with them.
Lots of bad guys in skyrim will yield or ask me not to kill them when their about to die and I really would, if only they'd stop trying to kill me in the process!

I just realized I have 17 dragon souls saved up that I haven't used. I'm addicted to Fus Ro Dah.
Poor things don't even stand a chance anymore. One swipe of my 267 damage Daedric greatsword, and they keel over. I'm honestly considering turning the difficulty up. I gave up my Dragonplate for Blades armor. It was just too much AC. Nothing could even damage me. Plus, the Blades armor looks cooler. Wish there was an option to turn off the helmet visual, though.
