The only reason you aren't the best is because the ones who are have NOT announced themselves or tried to go after you yet :p

I wish enemies could sneak in this game. Would make it more interesting. I mean, think about it, you're in your house resting after a long day's adventuring, then all the sudden you wake up to some ninja slitting your throat for 30x damage. :p

Okay, maybe not such a good idea...

And, really, if there *is* a better assassin than me, they can't be by much. Like I said, nearly all my skills are maxed out and I'm wearing enchanted, ancient Dark Brotherhood armor, not to mention my new-crafted Daedric dagger and bow, and my Blade of Woe.

Basically, if there's a better assassin out there, I have bigger problems to worry about because they're a game-hacking reality warper. :p

That's something Elder Scrolls just does. The groups laugh at you until you better their rank. Just talk to the right guy a few times and usually you get up there until they insist that you actually need to do stuff to get the next rank. Maybe Skyrim is different though. Haven't gotten that far. I'm still going after the golden claw.

and jumping in rivers to catch the odd fish 'cause I feel like it.

Apparently, in Skyrim, while they will eventually respect you more, the old lines don't go away, so you still get insulted even when you're grand-master of everything. :p

Kind of depressed, I've gotten to the point where I don't need better gear, so there's no point to opening treasure chests or trying to get gold. I've seen all the enemies, and it just feels like there's no point to playing with this character anymore.

I barely did any of the quests, just elected to wander around and explore, but I worry it powered me up too fast and now I'm out of things to do. I only finished the Companions and the Dark Brotherhood, got a ways through the main quest and dabbled in the Thieves Guild. I'll probably finish those, but I'm honestly itching to start a new character.

I think my next run will be with a heavy armor/greatsword/enchanting/restoration/blacksmithing build. I wish I could add destruction in there, but that doesn't go very well with 2h weapons, unfortunately.

I also wish there was a paladin quest like the Knights of the Nine. There's even any paladin-looking armor in the game from what I've seen, so I'll probably have to RP a darker character (when my first was already an assassin...)

Still, awesome game. :D

Then go ahead and start a new character and do the main quest with that one. I run three characters on Morrowind still, depending on what power level I feel like playing with. I'm already contemplating a second character in Skyrim even though I'm still in the first quest dungeon!

I probably will soon. I just want to finish the Thieve's Guild since my new character won't be doing them.

And... really? Already? You barely even have character yet! :p

:p. I'll get there. I want to do too many things. New character would probably be magic focus since current character is largely melee.

I found a USB mouse!

Oh, and a note, it is not a good idea to smack hanging lanterns with a handheld weapon, especially if you know it's a bad idea in the first place >.< . I fully deserved the damage I took for that one.

Heh, don't feel bad, it took me 25 hours into the game to realize that that rainbow water is flammable oil. :p

(Have fun speculating on how I figures that one out...)

Hee hee. Oh, and out of curiosity, have anyone come across a door opening monster yet? I think they got rid of it in Morrowind but in Daggerfall most things with hands could open doors. This meant you would get the odd imp or bandit in your face while trying to be sneaky if you had bad timing. Or bad luck.

I... don't even know. How sad is that? 70 hours into the game here, and I don't think I've ever run into that situation. I know NPCs do, but monsters... I usually OHK them, so the issue never arises. :p

Right. Well, I'll give Skyrim a go and see if my save transfered well. I'll let you know how it goes and make sure not to drop any more buckets of flaming oil on top of my head.

Success! I love Bethesda their cut and paste saves!

Alas, my graphics card isn't quite good enough to manage low graphics so my screen moves a little slow. This is not usually an issue too much unless I come across a monster that decides to move around while attacking. Then I'm pretty much hooped. Got killed three times by a restless Draugr since I could never find him fast enough to hit him. Finally went with my cousin's hit and run tactic. Four arrows later it dead. :)

I love the stuff you can do in this game! *Taunts Draugr from the other side of blade trap.*

Okay, in 80 hours of playing, I have to say, this is a first.

I'm on my second character, level 20 2handed heavy armor type with all flawless orcish gear.

Raiding the Silver Hand lair for the plans. Already killed the leader. I'm in the basement now, and there is the guy -- just a regular Silver Hand, decked out in steel plate with a steel shield and wielding a dagger who I just CANNOT kill.

He keeps shield bashing me in the face, preventing me from swinging my greatsword, and then slashes me with his dagger when I'm stunned. Even with Lydia behind him wailing away with a forged Axe of Whiterun, he just will not go down. He's insane.

Fights almost like a real person. :p
