"you know... your bad at trying to creep up on someone.. " He sad still keeping his eyes closed before he took his hand from the tree and any glow the tree had taken faded instantly with it. "Not that I had to ask it what had happened.. I knew the answer." He never said what he had gotten from the tree though, but it was probably a good guess humans were the cause of this groves keeper being lost as well. "yet.. even without a guardian it seems content." he shrugged a little. Maybe dryads weren't needed anymore, not if saplings were starting to become strong enough to sprout without help and the lost groves were content with their lives even with the danger of humans so close.

Dalea puffed out her cheeks and just sat up in the water. She tilted her head as she listened to his words. They were sort of depressed sounding to her. She waved him over to her after a couple minutes. "Sit down, please. I want to talk to you."

[Rosekitten]

"I have to sit to talk?" He shrugged though figuring he might as well, before she decided she was tired of his mouth and shot him again. He did what she asked him to sitting near the water's edge where she was at. He could take a few guesses at what she wanted to talk about, and he could also choose not to reply back to any of it.

Dalea was happy that came and at least sat by her. "Well...I don't really have important questions. They're more...curious thoughts of mine." She looked over and up at him. Even sitting he was still taller than her. "What will you do when you reach this dryad capital?"

That was a heck of a question either way though he did have a little bit of a idea as far as what he needed to do if he even made it there. "three things, hope they don't kill me for being a half breed, hope they don't kill me for breaking at least 20 of the 100 so vows of nature.. if that all goes well try to learn some of the forgotten knowledge to my kind, if anywhere has it then the capital with the elders would." He seemed to think on his answer a little before speaking again. "good enough answer for you? cause I don't have a better one, and the only way to be pardoned of any of my action let alone leaving the very forest I'm suppose to protect.. not that i had a choice in leaving now did i."

Dalea looked at her knees at the last of his words. "I am sorry. I truely only attacked out of reflex. I wanted to ask what you were doing, if you'd done that out of defense or malice, but I couldn't know that you wouldn't attack me first." Her whole body seemed to eb with the feeling that she was truely sorry. She only glanced up at him, sadness in her eyes. "What happens if they decide to sentence you to death?"

"you don't have to be sorry, really in that state i probably would have attacked you. Truth be told I had no reason for killing that group. It was in spite of all the others i had let live after their crimes on the forest." To admit that aloud he wasn't really proud of it, but it was the truth either way. It was already past and done nothing he did or said could bring the ones he killed back nor could it heal the damage already done. "You were probably better off attacking first heh.." He shrugged a little knowing it was probably true, he wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between a fairy and human if he wanted to then.

"well... then i guess you go back home? I can't stop them, even if i ran away from the capital that won't stop any of the elder dryads.. I think you know of their powers if your one of the higher ranked fairy houses." Truth be told if they really wanted him death it would have happened already though they might not even be paying attention, for all he knew the capital was in wastes and there were no elders left. Though that seemed unlikely. "What am i suppose to say to that really? I mean if they choose it then theres little to nothing I have to say in the matter, the same would be true for your kind as well."

Dalea blinked at him, sort of getting upset. "You can't just give in like that....you...you can't just roll over and let them rip out your guts because they tell you to!" She shot up on to her feet and was shaking with rage. She'd known someone she cared for deeply who'd done that, because it would save her reputation. She looked down at him, anger anddisbelief on her face. "I can't let that happen. If you'd let them kill you, I'd rip them apart with my bare hands. Don't think I couldn't either...I'd..." She suddenly went quiet, looking like she couldn't breathe from her rage. She soon took a shaky breath, then fell to her knees once more.

"they wouldn't rip my guts out, i'd basically turn into a tree ..give or take not sure the affect on a half blood.." He shrugged a little. "besides im not rolling over cause i want to! Id have no damn choice, they have the power over all of the dryads hell i could drop at any given moment just because they see fit it be so."

Though after she started talking he blinked a little that wasn't expected not from a fairy. "heh.. calm down.. even if they did do something to me you have no reason to start a war between fairies and the remaining dryads. I'm far from worth that." He smirked a little before moving and placing a hand lightly on her shoulder before squeezing it gently. "it'll work out, how ever the goddess see fit no need to get worked up over something I brought upon myself."

Dalea looked at him, like she had to protect him because he didn't believe he could himself. There were several things she'd heard of that seperated dryads from the elders, letting them be truely free. Since he was part human, it would just help his chances. She looked at him, then sighed. "I don't want anything like a war happening. Ever since I let you go, I was acting of my own free will. You know that, right?"

[Rosekitten]

"I know, if i didn't think that from the start you wouldn't have been able to follow me..." He smirked a little "you know im right" Leaning back he sighed a little "I don't think they'd end my breath.. though im hardly free from whatever punishment they think up.. that i know."

Dalea looked at him, unsure now. She chewed on her lip for a moment. "I've heard of a few ways to rid dryad's ties to the elder." She hoped that he didn't think she was insane.

With what she said he stood again finally, seeming to have enough of this conversation already. "I've heard of such rumors yes.. i've also heard of the tales of such attempts failing and the effects of the failures.. heh" he laughed weakly not liking the sound of that idea too much. "I think your over worrying.. we can fret about ti after we hear their answer instead of before."

Dalea rose with him, listening but thinking of other ways. "But you're half human, it wouldn't effect you as much." She even thought he'd live through it. He might even be able to live away from his tree. She went and picked up her clothes, careful to make sure the seed was still inside.

He was moving but as soon as she said the word human he stopped and shot a threatening glare at her. "are you even suggesting that I go live among those beings?! I think i'd rather take my chances with the elders." He did seem a bit annoyed she'd even mention the human blood he had, he was hardly proud of it and so far it had done him no favors. He sighed finally after a few moments before speaking again. "if i lose the dryad half of me then i'll lose everything i even begin to care about.. i wouldn't be allowed in the forest.. the connection i have with nature. I couldn't live with myself if i lose it..."

Dalea flinched at his look and tone. She looked hurt and took a step back away from him. After he was done, she nodded slightly. "I understand. If someone stripped me of my heritage, I'd...well, I won't go into that." She finally looked up at him, desperation in her eyes. "I am only trying to find a way to help you." He didn't seem to understand that throwing away his life like that wouldn't just effect him.
