It's correct. Nudes/naturals or small amounts of makeup make you look older. I like brasses, olives and browns.
So blue makes brown eyes pop, huh? Maybe I shall have to invest in some green or brown make up.

A good rule of thumb is to pick colours that don't show up in your eyes to make them stand out. Browns for blue eyes, blues for brown eyes, purples for greens, and pick and choose when you're hazel depending on your strongest colour hints. As someone with changeable eyes, hazel with strong hints of just about everything, I have a lot of colours in my pallets.
Tans are hard...they's super subtle, so they go well on your brow bone to open up your eyes, but you want a slightly darker brown around the actual eye. ![]() __________________________________________ Nikko was here out of love for Fey. <3|What is your Quest?| beautiful art by littl3chocobo

you can, though I'd say pick a nice plumy purple for the lid colour, a golden brown for your brow bone, and a chocolaty brown for a light line of colour around the outter edge of your eye. Finish it off with a nice either brown or black mascara. The liner and mascara will show off your eye, the purple will make the green seem more green, and the golden brown will open your eyes up to seem larger.

Ah, it's a shame you don't use mascara, it's a great way to finish off your eyes.
My colours vary on what I'm wearing, it'll change my eye colours. I have a lot of browns since my eyes turn blue quite easily. When I'm in colours that make my eyes grey I wear purples or greens. I have a lot of red in my wardrobe so I also have a lot of greys and neutral shades to not compete with them. All in all, I have a veeeeery deep makeup drawer LOL ![]() __________________________________________ Nikko was here out of love for Fey. <3|What is your Quest?| beautiful art by littl3chocobo

I'm interested to know what kind of brands the two of you use. I like Avon and Mac, but I use cheap store brands as well sometimes... XD
My eyes are a yellowy-brown, so I often just use nude colors to blend or bright purples/teals to enhance. I also neglect mascara - it's too much of a pain for me to apply it.

I mainly use store brands, unless i need SERIOUS colour, then I'll go insane with Ben Nye. I have never understood the appeal of 'brand' makeups, I have never thought they gave you more/better colour. That being said, I also on a ton of Mary Kay, but as I used to work with one that's my excuse.
I bet those teals look great with golden eyes! And I'm curious how mascara is a 'pain' to apply...do you get clumps or streak on your face? There's tricks to help that are super easy. ![]() __________________________________________ Nikko was here out of love for Fey. <3|What is your Quest?| beautiful art by littl3chocobo

I order from the Avon and Mac catalogues that I buy in stores, but if I see a color I like that is inexpensive, I won't hesitate to purchase it.
I love bright colors on other people, though I don't think I could get away with them, heh heh. @Fey: I just don't have the patience for it. I have to hold my eyes a certain way so I don't get it on my face, and it makes my head and eyes hurt. It's literally a pain, though if you've got any tips I'd love to hear them!

My favourite trick to keep it from getting on your face is to take a business card, cut a 'moon' shape out of it that fits the curve of your eye and place it under your eye. Using a disposable mascara wand(not the one in the tube) dip it in the tube, wipe off the excess along the top, then hold the wand near the middle of your 'blink' and, well, blink.
Brush the wand up to the tip and keep your eye closed for a second or two to let it dry. Open your eye, any smudges go on the card, you've no clumps because you wiped off most of the excess before applying it. Repeat on the other eye. Unless you're going for a WOW LASHES look ignore your lower lashes. If you are, then place the card under them, and just lightly use the tip of the wand to brush on some colour. If you have clumps wait for your lashes to dry and then use a clean wand to pull them out with a few strokes. And, if you need it, before you put on the mascara use a lash curler to curl up your lashes. I don't always like this step because lashes are meant to do the job of keeping things out of your eye, unless they end up looking really odd I don't curl mine. ![]() __________________________________________ Nikko was here out of love for Fey. <3|What is your Quest?| beautiful art by littl3chocobo

look for stuff that claims it won't clump...it's a lie, but it tends to go on smoother at least. And I prefer waterproof...the regular stuff can smudge after a long day.
