Oh oh ohoh! I used to work for Disney!
I've actually been several times. When I was in school we were consistently invited to the music days they have. But what I did there was well... intern, hmmm I was we'll say 21 when I did the internship and I loved it. I've worked for a few interesting places. All in all... yes I'm very old I'm 26. ![]()

I've tried to get to Chicago's Comic Con for the last three years.
It's always a matter of lack of money or getting time off work. Edit: LOL you're like a few months older than me and have done way more interesting things based on that little bit of info.

Comic Con is /expensive/ as is E3 I'm yet to get to go to either, then E3 went corporate (boo). Though I /was/ invited once to both through a small company I voice acted for. That happened once and we STILL didn't get to go, even with an invite. It's just that expensive to set up with tickets, hotel, and all that lovely jazz.

*pours a fresh cup of tea for us both, and gives Sath some ginger ale*
You'll get there! :D Well if you are ever in Ohio, think about the con here - it's only about we'll say $30 for all 3 days. The hotel is inexpensive too and gives discounts for con goers. It's right on the main Ohio highway travel to it is cheap too - so it's a really nice first con. It's in January to boot, very very close to tax return time! ![]()

I might have to look into that. If I can ever get around to replacing my hot water heater I'll start setting some money aside. I don't know if my husband would be super interested in going to a con but it would be nice for us to get away from the everyday.

Yes yes! It's a great get away. Sath and I are going. ^^
I hope you can get a new water heater soon, that can't exactly be a nice thing to deal with. ![]()

Yeek, yes. That happened once at a house I lived at, right under the house. I was in a panic I had no idea what to do, it was fixed before anything exploded though. That was a sign of relief.

That's what I'm worried about. it will all asplode and then where will I be?
I certainly couldn't afford to fix THAT. Sheesh. It was a lot easier when we were renting. The water heater would have been the landlord's problem and would have likely been fixed within a week or two of it breaking down.

True true~
For that exact reason I'm terrified of buying a house myself, even though it's something I'd love to have. I defiantly hope you guys get it replaced before that can occur, fixing something like that is near impossible. But, it sounds like you're doing pretty good so far. ![]()

Well... I have to say I agree with that person's blog it can be really really rough work. There is a lot of perks though, lots of discounts, even on travel and such. But the best part was getting to do things before the park was even open. We also get access to any of the parks for free.
But I think my best story is this: I had gone in for work really early once, the thing is well... I was a tech. ^^; That's a story all in its own right, basically I was able to help maintain the various rides and a few other neat things. It was rough but in my own sick way I loved it. Anyways as I was saying, I had gone in early and was cleaning something. A lady in a dark maid dress walks right up to me; sure enough it was one of the girls from the haunted mansion, and bluntly said they needed a tech to do a run through. The thing about the haunted mansion ride.... well any ride really when you do a "run through" a single person goes on the ride. Pretty straight forward right? Sure, that's great if you're on say Whinnie the Pooh or something. [I was stuck on that one a lot, it was constantly having issues with the motion sensor but that's yet another story] For the mansion ... it's different ... they have special emergency lights, and alternative sound track for testing. Creepiest ... thing ... on ... earth. Gaa thinking about it gives me chills. So, yes it's so creepy that they made one of the maids come find me and make me do it. =_=; It's pretty sad that even the greeters won't do it. So here I am on this ride, I was shaking by the time it was done. Ran past their manager "everythingisfineokbye". They eventually invited me to be a more consistent tech for them since I'd actually do the run and walk through but needless to say I said "no". It was awesome though, haha. ![]()
