@Trak; My grandma is 79. And we don't dare because for the most part she can take care of herself, she is incontinent, but it's not a valid reason to put her in one of those. Our nursing homes in NY are absolute shit. Plus my grandpa usually takes care of anything she needs help with. She is here because her house has flooding. I'm in the NorthEast getting hit with all the lovely rain. All those flood warnings in NY, my area. So he stayed behind to take care of the house and try to keep as much water out as possible while my grandma came up here so we didn't have a repeat of 06.

@Reyoki; Are you my cousin? LMFAO. She sounds exactly like my grandma! Like tihs one Thanksgiving, or Christmas, we grabbed milk for potatoes since she said she didn't have any. We found some in her fridge. I drank a little after mom put some in the potatoes only to find that it was 20 days after the expiration date. . . How I didn't get sick, I will never know. But my grandma bitches about how I should be doing shit for my mom that really, I don't think is right. It's not like I dont' help my mom, I just don't do to the extent that my grandma wishes. I know I could never live with my grandma full time. I'd probably go back to my old forms of anger management. . . . But thankfully she'll be able to go back in a few days. The rivers crested and from what grandpa says all they need is to clean the basement (Which in the years since 06 has seen a lot of clutter for someone who lost all her shit), a new furnace, and new washer.

Whenever I read things like this, I wonder how I got so lucky to not have family like it. I'm really sorry to hear you have to go through this Liosh...and I wish I could help but I have no experience with this kind of thing. The only thing I can say is this:

No one has the right to completely disrespect someone who at least shows a little respect to them. I don't care if it's friends, strangers, family members, or what, to show so much disrespect to someone who is helping them as well as showing some respect (even if you don't want to I'm happy to hear that you are trying) is just terrible.

I hope you don't go crazy in the time before she leaves.

She apologized today on her way to the bathroom. She says she realizes she shouldn't of called me a pig and been yelling and so harsh with me. She's being nicer today. She is in the living room watching tv. and I'm thinking of a new story. I don't know yet.
