Default Dream Dictionaries - They know ALL   #1
Okay so who has ever used one of these on their dreams?
I got to thinking about my recent dreams so I opened one up (metaphorically since I actually used google to find one).

So the dream? Well first I basically was raped in a public restroom them I'm at "my house". My bestfriend is my Dad, and my step-grandmother is my mom (only in the dream she's gained like 50 pounds of fat). Anyways I have a fictional younger brother here only like 1 or 2 inches taller but built like a freaking tank. He's got anger issues. That day he beat me then cut me up with a knife for no particular reason. My left arm was bleeding from cuts and along my swollen hand is a triangle cut into my flesh. The next dream after than I dreamt I had to wear a hat at all time or I'd fall face first on the foor throw up yellow barf with purple sparkles...did this twice because I left my hat at home. Meaning?

I can see a trend with the definitions here...add to the fact what songs I woke up with in my head.

So dreams and their meanings. Care to share any of yours Trisphee?

But what does it mean, when you dream you are an anime character? T^T
It's funny I never have any of the stuff from dream dictionaries in my dreams

The most reason I can remember, I was an anime character, and I was waiting for my butler to come serve me tea, and what I think it means is; I should cut a bit down on my Kuroshitsuji addiction...
But that is not an easy thing to do >_>

Oh yeah I've also dreamt that dream two times in my row.... but... dunno

Recurring Dream
To have recurring dreams indicate unresolved issues, unhealthy behavior patterns, or unexpressed emotions in your waking life.
Well you just might have to cut down your addiction sweetie. heh...But if you're dreaming something directly from the anime then it's just because that's what's on your mind. Same goes if I dream of fighting(or fleeing) undead after a game of Resident Evil. I've noticed that subject dreams like that usually don't occur until several days after the instance. I wonder why that it. =\

Your dreams have been nightmares lately? D:

I remember using dream dictionaries when I was younger, but not very often. I never really slept much, and when I did, I hardly ever remembered my dreams. Don't think I didn't love looking up dream meanings though! I did! I found it really fun and interesting. My cousin introduced the thought to me when she came out to live in Cali a few years back. It was my mom however who started to look up each one of her dreams for their meaning. I think she began taking it too seriously. xD

Anywho. If I dreamt more/remembered more of my dreams, I would look them up occasionally. Dunno if I'd rely on dream meanings to fix my life problems like my mom does *cough* but I'd have my fun with it. c:

That's what I do. It's fun food for thought. =)
With the recurring unpleasantness of dreams I take it a little more seriously and wonder what is causing them.

They're not nightmares by my definition. Those are ones where I want to escape. Where I wake up terrified to move or do anything, even think, because of what I was dreaming. These have all be highly unpleasant but I take the blows in them and try to make the best of it. Just as one would do in real life I guess.

I know you've shared dreams with me before. But I can't quite recall any of them at the moment...well remembering dreams actually take practice. Even now I kind of have to remember to practice every now and then to remember them and even realize I'm dreaming.

Yeah, I think I would do the same.

We have quite different views of nightmares then. xD Though, I wonder if I would have a different view of it too if I had a dream like that.

There've only been a few, and I think they were all in a thread on Kinsaki. Oh! I just remembered a dream I had some time last year in August. (Yeah, I know the date. How sad is that?) Some might call it disturbing, but the feel of it was so interesting that it made me want to dream about it again.

Yeah, I've looked up stuff on how to remember dreams, it is a lot of work. x-x Lucid dreaming, they called it; being able to know you're dreaming while being able to wake yourself up and remember what you were dreaming about. I think that's talent. Juju has a talent. c:

Well...as I think you know my dreams usually tend to have some kind of struggle going on. Or something bad happening. There's just a threshold to where it's bad enough for me to label it as a nightmare.

I wanna here this dream! :3
I remember the thread. It was called "Strange Dreams" I was always reviving the thing. lol

It sounds like a lot of work but honestly after doing it for a little while you don't really have to try beyond occasional reminder to remember when the ability slips away. =) I can't really control anything in my Lucid dreams anyway. I either wake up or my subconscious out right rebels against me. So I control myself while trying to nudge suggestions towards it and whatever images it projects.

This is true. ;o;

Ahh, I'm too lazy to type it out right now. Dx I will definitely write it though. c;
Haha, yeah. It had some good dreams in there! I remember, Frosty Kitten's dream made me all sad. That dream, about the octopus man and other mutant beings, was so awesome sounding. ;o;

Yeah, that's true. Once you're used to it, it's not too difficult. c:
Subconscious. That reminds me of Inception. xD

Dream dictionaries are fun! i love interpreting my dreams and such, and quite often, the definitions hit close to home.

Though, I have no idea what it means to be chased by a giant pickle wielding a hammer, just to get flushed down a toilet...

Person, what Person?
I once had a dream that I stepped in front of a bullet for a class mate. It was right before opening night for a play we were doing when I had it.
The curtains open but the autotorium is empty. I can hear someone demanding, "Everyone must die for the sins they have commited agianst the Lord. You must all die." Suddenly I can see the man who threatens us, he is about 5 and a half feet tall with a firearm.
I step forward and demand that he leave us alone. He claims he needs a hostage and if we refuse we will all die.
One of my class mates comes up behind me and says, "If you kill us you have no hostages and murder will be added to your criminal charge." The attacker grows furious and attempts to shoot him but I step in and take the bullet. I can remember phantom pain.

Anyone have nay idea what this means? I think it might be nerves talking but I'm not sure.

So how do you explain my dream of being pregnant with twins, engaged to an Indian, who his brother was watching out for me while he was away and held his erection against my butt, then put me in a theater production to hide me from being killed. . . . I couldn't find anything like that in the dictionaries.

Jurinjo: Haha I guess it's the second one, since it was pretty specific and all, just interesting that I dreamed the same scene two times x'3
And it had been a while since I last saw that particular anime...
But since I am pretty addicted to that one.... it might not be so surprising after all

This is... generalizations, right? Things mean different things to other people because of culture/upbringing and other things, and thus dreams will mean different things to different people based on their cultural upbringing.

Think about the significance of a wolf. Sometimes a wolf in a dream can mean something bad. A wolf is represented as a predator, though mysterious. It is something feared by many, and in dreams it can also have that feel as well.

However, to native americans and other cultures, a wolf can mean something completely different. As a spirit guide, and a powerful one of good at that, it can mean good things in dreams for them.

/not making a comment on the actual dream...

Neeeeeee. Worst time to be worrying about my own dream last night (I've two tests...) but it's really scary when you dream that you've died and became a ghost.

-cracks knuckles- Alright I shall be trying answer y'all. By the way the symbolism of dreams is based heavily on the dreamer's view of the world as well as symbolism and puns. Figuring it out takes of a certain level of thinking on your part (As eloquently stated by Alex Linden). But I hope I can help y'all out some. =)

Batty
Keywords: Chase, Hammer, Pickle, Toilet.
There is a problem or anxiety of a coming trouble that you are trying to escape. It could be sexual or not (because of the pickle). The hammer "signifies power, strength, virility, and masculine attitudes. It also symbolizes growth and construction. Alternatively, the dream may also be a pun on "being hammered" or intoxicated." You'll have to think on that one. The toilet is symbolizes a release of emotions...it was the pickle that went down or you?

DarkForbidden-Love
Keywords: Die, Audience, Gun, Stage, Auditorium, Hostage, Bullets, Curtain
Yikes this is complicated. So first there is the setting. You are about to do a play in the auditorium however it is empty. The lack of people may mean you feel neglected or that your achievements are not being acknowledged. You are possibly feeling victimized by someone more powerful. How you behaved on that stage is a telling of your interactions with society and what you need to learn from others. That classmate who stood up for this injustice is either a real person or a trait you should or want to aspire too. Which you did in the end of the dream possibly signifying growth as is the case of death in dreams usually representing the old being gone and the new less selfish you taking place.

As for nerves though...you could possibly be afraid of what someone may think of the performance, thinking less of you or nothing at all for the effort you have put forth. But then I'm not sure about the classmate.

Lioshika
Keywords: Pregant, Twins, Erection, Brother, Butt, Theater, Engagement, Indian(?)

I got to go do terribly frustrating stuff involving a truck. Sorry I can't get to you yet. By the way what kind of Indian is he? ...actually whatever you think of Indians would be what you feel is missing from your life.

Espy sorry I can't get to yours right now. Gotta go, laters.
ps Could you give more details if you remember any? More details you are able to accurately provide the better picture I can give you for reason of the dream.

I'm glad you agree ^^.

I think a good psychologist can help interprete dreams well based on the person. I think dreams tend to mirror the emotions of a person's day-to-day life. Not only do dreams represent the happening's of a persons life, but they can be very exciting!

I'm the type of person that is interested in lucid dreaming. I try very hard to get myself into a state of lucid dreaming. I've heard it is hard for the average person, but as someone who practices this almost daily, I've found it hard to believe that people have so much trouble with it. But like anything else, you get better with it as you practice it. Lucid dreaming helps me with my creative side. I use it to help me work on books and other things.
