In Japan yes, but it's retard Japanese. Really, it's meant so 5 year olds can read it. It doesn't even use Kanji, unless you set it as so...

Haha well I can't read japanese at all though. I know the typed-out-in-letters basic anime fan's japanese, but I couldn't read it. xD Course I guess the gameplay's simple enough to figure out, but I'd rather get to read it xD
