And reading your post, I just realized I never came up with a currency for this setting. Oh, well. Coins work fine.

I had entertained the idea of using pages from the Book of Revelation are currency, but I thought it seemed kind of cheesy.

I figured "coins" would work no matter the currency, besides, post apocalypse I'm guessing everyone would want some kind of hard currency, or use bartering.

I would normally geuss bartering, or someting like that (think the coins from A Maiden's Tale by Margaret Atwood)
