More excited than I am at the moment...

*Start game.* *Play for five seconds.* *Find something to fix.* *Exit game* *Fix* *Start game.* and on and on.

And now you know why games sell for $50-60 each, with all the work you're doing on yours xD

That what Beta versions are for ;). But you are very gentlemanly to sort this stuff out yourself before presnting it online.

I suppose, but a few little errors in coding here and there can make the entire thing unplayable, so I don't want to waste my time uploading it. I'm sure I won't catch all of the little things (especially typos, but I try hard with those, too). And there'll always be room to refine the balance of the game.

And... damn, the first boss is nasty. Beatable with the right strategy, but ouch. Yes, I'm getting killed by my own game. :|

That's okay. I loose to myself a surprising number of times when I play games or card games that normally require two people. I'm never sure how I should feel about that.

Yes, but how often do you end up thinking of your recent loss and wondering if there's an imbalance in the game, or if you're just pathetic at it? :p

When I'm playing myself it's hard to decide. How do you think your own DnD character would fare against some of the dungeons you make?

I think I could win most of my dungeons, if only for knowing what was coming. DnD lends itself well to strategy. I'd hate to go through one blind, though.

Oki, Suzerain, if you're dying on the first boss that you know how to beat I'm kind of worried xD

He's actually sort of an end-game boss, given that it happens in one of those flashback to high-level party sort of deals.

I imagine it'll be ever harder on the player thanks to the multitude of skills on each character that they haven't encountered yet, but that's why I'm making a Boss Guide. :)

Or it will be like Devil May Cry, where the satisfaction of killing the first boss pretty much carries you through the rest of the game. Especially when you're the only one of your friends who's been able to do it! :D

Oh, that reminds me of that game, Lufia. The game starts you with a high level party to fight the bosses, and you find out it was events that took place a rather long time ago when you finish that segment.

Makes me wonder if you picked the Treasure Cavern clean on the second one...I tried myself I REALLY did but I'd always make a mistake sometime around floor 80 and die >< A friend did show me the final floor once along with the "I dunno how to kill it" boss...

I actually only played the first one (I think it was the first one. Fortress of Doom, or something?) I always wanted the second one, but it was prohibitively expensive everywhere I could find it.

Oh, and kind of random, but speaking of game prices earlier, I still have the original receipt from my copy of Final Fantasy 3 (6) for the SNES, coming to a total of %73.16 for just the game. Did games really go for that much back then? I would usually get them as gifts, so I have no idea.

As far as I remember, the $80 games didn't start coming around until Playstation, but I didn't pay too much attention then. We didn't get an SNES until Donkey Kong Country came out. Can't remember the price for that. The package was a couple hundred dollars though, more than my DS or Playstation 2 Slim.
