Mercury Poisoning!

((Oh course, my pleasure ^^ ))

Joey watched with a smile as Flutter made her way over to the reception desk. He winced as she tripped a little and made a motion to go after her and help her. She seemed so helpless in his mind, but he she had said she would do it herself so... Joey smiled, and once she was safely inside, he turned and left.

***

Olivia walked through the unfamiliar doors of the auditorium. It was a huge room that carried sound well and was adorned mainly in the color gold with splashes of white and black. She let out a breath, and could swear she heard it echo. How nerve racking.

Suddenly a hand came down on her shoulder and she was pulled into a rough half-hug. She looked up to see Joey's face grinning down at her. She grinned in return. "Joey!" She said, pleased to see a familiar face among the plentiful sea of drama students. "Olive! Splendid!" He practicably cooed. He pulled a long measuring tape out of his pocket. "Let's begin!"

((I didn't know if Saya was with her, so I left it open for whatever you would want to do))

((Eh. He won't be so it makes sense.))

He'd gone searching for the hotel during their last period which had been a free period for him, and thus was slow to get to practice. Rushing in, he let out a pant and a sigh of relief, which echoed it seemed through the elaborate room. "Jeez...This is even bigger then the lord's mansion in the village. I've never seen such a huge and fancy room..."

"Glad you could make it," Peter called, waving hello. "I'm helping out with measurements. Mind if I take yours?"

"Sure. Just tell me what to do." The two worked for a bit, before Peter nodded.

"Got it. Now I'll go write it down. I'm good at memorizing things so I have it all memorized. You can go find a script to work with for now if you want.

"Thanks. I'll go find Oliver then." He began to walk, seeing his friend somewhere nearby. "Olive! Did you finish measuring yet?" He smiled easily. "Peter took mine as soon as I got in here. When you're ready let's do some looking over the script okay?"

Olivia nodded her consent and Joey began taking her measurements. He skillfully wrapped the measuring tape around the key areas of the body, the hips, chest, and shoulders. He finished that and was measuring her height when Saya showed up.

Joey waved at him in acknowledgement, but was concentrated on Olivia. She herself turned as much as Joey would allow and smiled at Saya. "Yeah, just one more thing and I'm done." She turned back to where Joey had originally positioned her, but stumbled, her feet losing their footing. She felt the tug of the measuring tape around her as she sensed Joey attempting to use it to keep her standing. Instead it brought him down with her. Olivia squeezed her eyes shut and felt a thump resound through her as she hit the, luckily, carpeted floor.

Opening her eyes she peered into the green orbs that hovered above her by just barely an inch. Letting out a shaky breath, she could see the expression on Joey's face, shocked and... something else she couldn't recognize. His pupils seemed to grow, darkening his eyes in a strange way. His expression seemed confused as if something was happening that he couldn't quite make sense of.

It was at that point that Olivia realized exactly how they were positioned. Joey's forearms were directly by her head, supporting most of his weight. His legs had, in attempt not to crush her no doubt, spread apart so they were positioned on either side of her. It was incredibly awkward on many levels.

Suddenly, Joey blinked and the confusion was gone from his face. A grin replaced it. "Well," He began with his usual gusto , "You come here often?" He asked with a grin. I laughed whooshed out of Olivia. "No Joey, I don't lay in the middle of this floor often." He laughed and pulled himself up, holding out a hand for her, that she took, and helped her up. What had just happened had seemed to last a lifetime for Olivia, but it had only been a few seconds.

"You guys alright? That was pretty clumsy... If the carpet weren't here you'd likely have bad bruises- you might still have 'em, but they won't be as bad. This carpet's pretty thick, right?" He grinned after a sigh of relief escaped him. He'd honestly been frightened by the fall- but was relieved to find them safe and basically easy. "Good thing Joey kept himself propped up though or he'd crush ya, huh, Olive?"

"Yeah. Too much weight on a person's back is bad for them," Peter walked behind him, causing him to jump.

"Don't sneak around like that Pete!" He grumbled, shaking his head. "You scared the hyenas out of me."

"Hyenas?"

"What? I don't know what else to use. It's a common expression in my household...Though hyenas are good to scare away, they're pretty hard to..."

Olivia brushed hair from her face and did a mental run down of her body. Her head ached a little, but other than that she felt completely fine. She had been lucky. Snapping out of her thoughts she glanced back at Joey to see if he was fine. As she did so she felt a hand go down on her shoulder.

"I'm fine." Joey said with a smile, giving her shoulder a friendly squeeze. "How bout you Olly? You got the worst of it." Underneath his ever constant tone of enthusiasm Olivia could hear concern. She smiled at him reassuringly. "I'm great."

"Good, ah here you two, your lines." Joey said, handing them two scripts from a nearby table. "Now practice. A lot. Practice until you believe you are the character." He said with a grin.

"Shouldn't be too hard," Sayaku replied with a grin as response, taking the script into his hands. "Wanna work together, Oliver? It'd be easier to have a partner, don't you think? Oh, but maybe we should focus on the lines in the script first, then the actions... It's better to work on one thing and then the other..."

Olivia smiled, happy at the thought of working with Saya. "Yeah. We only have two lines each, should be easy to memorize. Do you wanna work here or go back to our room?" Oddly enough, she wanted go back to their room and practice. She had come to enjoy the alone time they got very much and felt like squeezing out every bit she could. Alone time was not a good thing in her situation. Alone time led to her saying strange things most boys would never say and to compromising situation. Yet she enjoyed it.

((sorry if this post sounds funny. I just woke up from a very unplanned nap and my brain a little fuzzy))

((It happens. Just be careful when you nap not to wake up at a bad point in the sleep cycle hm? :3))

"It's sorta crowded in here, ain't it? If I had to choose, I'd say our own room would make it easier to hear ourselves and not deal with the huge crowd. Don't wanna get in the way or have someone get in our way as we work, right?"

"I agree. C'mon" She said with a smiled and began to leave. "You two behave yourselves. Remember, safe se-" Joey began with a wicked grin until some student thought enough to cover his mouth so he wouldn't say something rather embarrassing in an echoing room. Olivia raised her eyebrows and looked at Saya. A small chuckle escaped her lips and she motioned with her head for Saya to come with her.

"Uh-huh. Yeah, we'll remember that, Joey. We really need to." He laughed at it before running ahead, smiling over to Oliver. "C'mon, I'll race ya to the room. Energy is important so we should boost it with some exercise!"

Olivia grinned, her eyes lighting at the challenge. "Oh, your on farm boy." Then she ran, not giving Saya a warning. He hadn't said anything about it needing to be a fair race. She pushed her muscles, relishing the chance the try and beat Saya. Not that she would, she was sure, considering she had never worked a day of hard labor in her life. She knew Saya's muscles would be much better conditioned.

((I agree that Saya would most likely win :) ))

((Eh, probably. His sister's slow as a slug, but he is pretty fast thanks to having to chase the livestock as a kid ;D))

"Don't think you'll get by that easily," Sayaku called out with a laugh. He started to speed up from behind his friend, pacing himself without hiding his natural speed. Once at the door, he put a hand on it, only panting slightly- he couldn't help it, since it wasn't quite as short a distance as he'd thought it would be. "Made it."

Olivia came up behind him, seeing he had already made it to the door. She grabbed the door handle herself, her hand overlapping his. She was panting and laughed all at the same time, which didn't help breathing. "I think... you cheated... cause... you've had... years of farm work... and I haven't.. so I win by default." She told him in between pants, leaning against the wall, forgetting her hand that was still on his.

He laughed a bit at that. "Hey, you could've conditioned on your own without the farm work you know. Regular exercise is plenty to keep the body going enough to be able to run that way. Chasing a goat and running for the sake of keeping yourself healthy don't change the benefits that much. Well, except the possibility of getting rammed by an actual ram."

She laughed and leaned her head back against the wall. "Alright, alright, but either way your stronger than me. And you know what that means? You have to carry me inside." She was joking of course, but a part of her was thrilled at the thought of Saya carrying her. It was a part of her that she was constantly having to beat down anymore.

Sayaku shrugged it off, opening the door and tugging on his friend's hand, squatting slightly so he was low enough to be boarded. "C'mon, then. Piggyback should work, right?"
