"I wouldn't recommend it. That place is a wreck." A soft laugh escaped her lips as she tugged on her knees to sit again, just silently staring around her for a while. She didn't know the answer to his question, thus stayed silent.

When he noted that the sunrise had begun, she looked upward to the sky, keeping her eyes slightly squinted to keep them from being blinded by early flecks of light. The sound of birds caught her attention soon before the colors had, thus causing her to look to some nearby birds, laughing a bit as they flew in a circle, enjoying the warmth of the morning.

"Guess we aren't the only ones who like pretty sunrises huh?" She pointed giddily at the birds, smiling gently. "The birds seem rather excited too."

Nicolai smiled, "It appears not. I tell you though, if I couldn't watch the sun rise every so often, I would go insane. It's a very relaxing..and sometimes energizing event." He nodded, opening his eyes. "Well, I should get you back to ground level before someone sees us up here. We wouldn't want to get caught." He then held out his hand for her to take.

"Promise not to let me fall?" She laughed a bit, nervously taking hold of the extended hand with both of her own, already afraid to let go. Shaking off the intimidation slightly, she smiled again. "And it is energizing, that's true. The most energizing thing to me is waking up when the sun rises and making pancakes for the event." She laughed. "Is that strange?

He laughed, "Pancakes? Really?" He rolled his eyes slightly, picking her up as he had before. He put his face only inches from hers with a slightly serious expression, "If I dropped you, I might as well just lob off my own head. I would be so insulted if I were to be so clumsy." He then smiled and jumped off the edge.

Getting up there took a few jumps here and there up the slowly rising buildings around it, but he could easily handle the straight fall down. He might break a shin here, some toes there, but he wouldn't notice. He had such a high pain tolerance, as he's done it so many times he's lost track.

After some time of free falling, they finally hit the ground. When his feet hit, he bent his knees slightly then stood straight. He waited a moment before walking, his head slightly tilted as if listening for something. With a shrug, he set her down, "Well that was nice."

"Nice yes, but scary too. I don't think I'll be able to handle heights quite as easily later on after that fall." She laughed a bit, smiling still as she stood beside him. "Though it was fun to some extent, it did rather make me nervous. I'm lucky I had someone who was able to help huh?" She still smiled to him as she stood before looking around. "It's easy to tell it's morning isn't it? The air smells a little different in the morning, and the lights grow more numerous- though that part never ceases to amaze me. We should be needing less lights when the sun's out..."

He nodded, "I agree." He let out a quiet sigh, waiting for her to indicate what she wanted to do. He had had no plans today, other than to work later tonight, but that was many hours away. Even so, he didn't know if he was going to go.

"What'll you do now? I don't know if you work in the day." She smiled simply to him, hands behind her back as she looked around curiously. "I don't know what to do to be honest. Since there's no school and I may just be taking the day off from work, I don't really know what to do with myself... What do you do when you don't have work or anything?"

He shrugged, "I couldn't tell you actually. I have a pretty boring life, to tell you the truth. I don't really do much other than read or something." He began to walk down the street, "How about some breakfast? You must be hungry?"

"Sure! Let's head to my place and I can make something!" She chimed easily, giggling a bit to the thought. "What would you like to eat? My specialty is working with fruit in pastries, but I can make something else for you if you'd like. You should eat something you like after all. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!"

He laughed a bit, his hands deep in his pockets, "Well, we didn't have many breakfast choices when I would still need to eat...but I've always been fond of Belgian waffles?" He wondered if she realized that he did not need to eat food like she did, or if she was just too excited to make something to realize. Either way, he didn't mind.

"Belgian waffles it is!" She giggled cheerfully, running ahead for one minute before thinking about something, turning around. "Ah...I probably should ask if you even need to eat, shouldn't I? Sorry...Once I get the idea of cooking in my head, I want to cook for anyone and everyone around that I can try to get to eat it!" Scratching her chin nervously, she laughed still. "I should ask if you're actually hungry first next time... Sorry."

He laughed, ruffling her hair a bit, "You can cook for me any day. Just because I don't need to, doesn't mean I don't like to. I would love to try your cooking." He gave her a smile, "There is no need to apologize, it's not really a big deal."

"Well a number of people would say otherwise," Chloe responded swiftly, spinning back to walk towards the bakery. Once there, she was surprised to see a sign that said the store was closed. "Odd, Richard didn't say we were closing today... Oh well. Makes life easier for me since I don't have to hear him talk about how happy he is for me to take a day off." Laughing a bit, she took a key out to open the door, walking inside.

"Since it's available, I'll use the downstairs kitchen. Feel free to make yourself at home, 'kay? I'll make those waffles in a jiffy!" Without a moment to spare, the girl sped through a door that stated employees only, leading to the kitchen, and began to work on cooking the meal requested.

Nicolai smiled, just standing in the doorway as she skittered off. When she was out of sight, he put his hand to his forehead with a sigh. What have I gotten myself into? Waffles? Really? I hate waffles and pancakes. Damn.. He rubbed his temples a bit, "This is going to be a long few hours."

He helped himself to the nearest chair and sat with a smile. He would put on a happy face for her, and who knows. If she's as good as she says, he might like her waffles.

Coming out afterwards, she placed the waffles on two plates and put one in front of him, one on the other side of the table. The waffles, soft and fluffy, were covered with a red strawberry sauce sweetened a bit extra, along with some blueberries. There were also some green leaves of some kind scattered atop the waffles and the plate itself.

"I don't know much about food for you, but I thought that since my blood was good enough last night, since it's likely filled with sugar from all the fruit and snacks I eat, it might make sense to put something sweet on top of the waffles. They're soft, but I made sure they're fully cooked, so you don't need to worry. Oh, and the blueberries are mostly because they're good for a person's health, though... As I think on it, I'm not sure you require those types of nutrients. It's still good to be safe though. Oh, and those leaves are mustard leaves. They're mostly for show, but you can eat them if you like. They're a tad tart like the blueberries."

Nicolai stared at the array before him, "You went a bit..all out didn't you?" He laughed, taking his for and prodding a strawberry with it and popping it into his mouth. He loved fruit, no matter what. "Either way, these strawberries are pretty darn fresh. Delicious~" He cut a piece of waffle, making sure a blueberry was perched on top and popped that into his mouth as well.

He had to admit, the waffles were extremely light and fluffy. After a moment, he swallowed with a smile, "Very delicious. It's a shame people don't use fresh fruit more often. All that artificial crap has got to be bad for you." He took a few more bites of the waffles, making sure each bite was accompanied by a fruit.
