I'm in a slump. I've been lacking the will to do anything. | #1
You ever have those times where you want to get something done, you want to get up and work on something, but you don't? You just sit there and suddenly you realize the whole day has gone by and you've wasted more time? Lately, I've been sitting in a slump. An artist slump. I have stories I wish to write, two ideas being ones I wish to make into book series and get them published. I have image ideas I wish to draw out, so I can practice my drawing skills more and possibly work on making comic books or even manga volumes. I want to do more photography and upload my pieces up to my deviantART account, but I haven't been able to pick up my digital camera and just go out and take pictures. I have scripts I wish to write out for videos I wish to do, possibly with friends when they have time. I have some ideas too where I can film them by myself, but all the same, I just can't get up and do any of these things. I wish to nestle down somewhere in the house or maybe outside when it's warm enough to just write some more poetry. I wish to open up Fruity Loops on my desktop or even Garageband on my Macbook Pro to work on musical sound tracks that I have ideas for. But still, I can't get myself to do these either. Writing fanfiction as well is something I wish to get myself into doing, but with my current slump, I can't. I even have ideas for animations I could make or at least start story boarding them out, but no. I find myself not bothering with anything. Have you ever been in a slump before? How about more than once? What helped you get out of your slump(s)?

For me it just takes the right kind of music or inspiration.
Try watching some movies you haven't seen before to get the creative juices flowing

I don't know if this is exactly the same but I'm in a slump like that too, where I just can't find the drive or desire to do things - anything. Even things I enjoy. I cannot even draw or write porn and that's pretty bad because that stuff comes easily to me. And I know what it is, and it's depression that's sapping my will. Have you thought maybe that depression is a cause of your loss of drive? It might be more than just a block or a slump...and there are things that can be done for depression that.
Myself I'm trying to get more exercise, sunshine and I'm going to start taking vitamin suppliments. I've also found that if your environment is cluttered or crowded or dark that can affect your will and drive and especially your mood, so I've started cleaning up my space and letting more light in. Just some thoughts that might help ~ i won't rot ∙ not this mind and not this heart ∙ i won't rot

I'm in a slump with my fanfictions also.
It's like nothing is inspiring me to write, especially like I use too. I think it's just time for break, like Rem said, go outside and get more sunshine. ^^

Oh don't remind me!
I've been in a slump since January DX I've decided I no longer want to do the Web Developer program at my college and would much rather do something in Equine Studies, but the nearest college to me is way south. D:

I agree with the suggestion of doing things outside your usual routine. Do something you never usually would, whether going off on a spontaneous trip or trying new hobbies. Hopefully inspiration strikes you soon.

I get in a slump sometimes and its very, very annoying.
I understand the whole wanting to get up and do something, but not wanting to at the same time. For me it is like... I want to do something, but I don't know what. Nothing holds my interest for more then a few moments. Something that somewhat works for me, but not always, is looking up new tutorials online and trying them out (for example I'll look up a tutorial for sewing when I haven't sewn anything in a while). Trying something new gets me a bit inspired to try old things that I used to enjoy doing. It works for a little while, at least.

work made my brain into beef jerky and has more or les crippled my hand for atleast a day *emo sigh* so this means on my first day off in 2 weeks... I get to sit and do .... What? oh slump go away! I have stories to write people and sketches to do cosplays to work on! aka ;D none of us are alone in this slumpyness of evil!!
I usualy do what Matt the Merciless sugested, listen to new music [yay for youtube and AMVs] or watch something differnt or a movie I havent seen/ wanted to see for a while. For me exspeshaly listening to music like soundtracks and such is a GREAT way to get my brain rehydrated! Walks are good, and the puppy likes that too. despite not wanting to get up and get out there...sometimes a walk arround the mall will help or a browse around the book shop helps! sometimes a day of doing nothing is good as well. take time to just pamper yourself.

I've been in a creative slump lately. It seems to happen about a third of the way through school semesters. I'm working on a couple writing projects right now, but I just can't seem to write! I can see how the plot plays out in my head, but whenever I try to put it all to paper it just disappears!
I usually play old videogames to re-energize me and get my creative mojo flowing. It gives me all sorts of ideas, too! I'll look at bits of scenery in the games or think about plot tangents and just get to work!
