Nate turned away once more, trying to hide the smile he had.

This place... it was like one big family.

"Now, mister!" She snapped, shooing him off.

Nate watched them for a moment before he returned to the dice castle he was building.

"Thursday is dice day."

Slowly, Nate lifted his eyes to the young man before him, who looked like a live version of Ness.

"Near only plays with dice on Thursday," He informed, his eyes cold. "Today is Tuesday."

"Hey Near!" Matt came running over as Mello was escorted out by Nancy.

He took Near's arm and hauled him up.

"C'mon, I wanna show you something!" Matt said excitedly.

The kid glared at them, but didn't say anything as a shell-shocked Nate was dragged away by Matt.
