I like most vegetables better cooked. they're less crunchy and obnoxious that way. plus I can add in garlic and onion and salt and pepper and other tasty things when I cook them.

I don't cook vegetables long enough to get mushy. if you cook them too long, they lose all their good nutrients. I just cook them enough so that they're soft enough to bite without hurting your teeth, but no more than 5 minutes or so.
