People either seem to love it or hate it.
I would say if you enjoy silly memes, "nerdy" things like D&D, dungeon crawlwer type video games (or sort of just video games in general), are okay with a little horror/gore, and can grasp the concept of satire, you might like it.

read a blurb on goodreads - reminds me of a mix of the Hitchhiker's Guide series, and a series called Magic 2.0 that i read a few years ago. (the first book in that series is called "Off to Be the Wizard" XD )

It's been a while since I read Hitchhiker's guide, so I'm not sure how similar it is (definitely had some inspiration at least), but I suppose a case could be made that it's a more graphic/violent, mature, cruder, modern version of it maybe.

Just finished the second book and snorted so loud at the end when (not really a spoiler) Princess Donut points out to Carl that they're about to be whisked away for an interview and he's fully naked.

oh definitely the inspiration, and the sense of humor maybe?

no, not really a spoiler - i'm sure we've all had some variation of that dream before!

I'll have to add a reread of Hitchhiker's Guide to my books this year so I can compare them for sure!

I mean...unfortunately for Carl, it isn't a dream.
And I don't think I've ever had that dream, though tbh I almost never remember my dreams unless they're super traumatizing or just exceptionally bizarre. So basically I have 2 little bits of dreams I remember and nothing else.
