Oooh, almost done with the trilogy, nice!
Picked up a re-read (A Natural History of Dragons) because it's the only book I've ever read in a 5 book series and I realized I can fit all 5 books into the Bookworms challenge. ![]()

Trystan: Whoops! I got the book titles mixed up and thought you were on book 3 not book 2. Was very confused for a sec. Lol
Kitty: Yeah, you can do it! ![]()

So my statement/exitement over you being almost done with the Hunger Games series isn't wrong at least! Lol
Trying to finish an audiobook (through Libby) before it's due because I'm about 90% sure that it'll have holds and I won't be able to get it again for a while but that means listening on my weekend which I have a harder time doing as my brain is less focused at home than it is at work so I tend to zone out on audiobooks more then. XP I'll still try to renew it tomorrow anyway. (I tried to renew it today but it said it was too early to renew and that I could renew it tomorrow...) ![]()

Yeah, I've read the prequels and watched Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and tbh I don't think they're really necessary to read or watch unless you want to.
Ballad especially I just didn't care at all about, though it was interesting to see how the hunger games evolved from how they started at least. ![]()

the prequels are on my to-read list, but we shall see. i'm also debating watching the movies after i finish reading Mockingjay. i had no idea that's where that Hanging Tree song was from! o_O

Haven't updated in a while...oof. Have hit a bit of a slump in the audiobooks lately. And I decided to start a couple time-intensive chainmail projects lately as well, so physical books are slow going too, though I do make a little time at lunch to read.

i've updated my list, but haven't posted in a while either XD
i finished the Hunger Games trilogy. right now i'm not really caring about the prequel books. so now i'm reading The Book Censor's Library by Bothayna Al-Essa. it's quite good.

Am also updated (I think...) I keep forgetting to keep up on the list here.
Am 3 books away from completing the bookworms challenge for this year, 2 of which are already decided on and started as well, and at 56 total for the year. Nothing too deep in terms of reads currently, mostly fun stuff, a re-read of Jurassic Park (rest in peace Sam Neill aka: Dr. Alan Grant) and the second book of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Not going to lie, I know the DCC series started out as a self-published series, so I was a bit hesitant on even reading them at all (I strongly feel that most, if not all, of the self-published books that I've attempted in the last few years needed proper editing), but I'm glad I did because they are hilarious but also surprisingly deep at times and it shows that, while at times the world-building may be a tad lacking, Matt Dinniman KNOWS how to write compelling characters. Even people we've barely interacted with leave an impression to the point that I wonder how they're doing or if we'll run into them again. ![]()
