Nearest JoAnn's and Michael's are an hour's drive for me, but I'll be sending correspondence to ask the Michael's in the area to start carrying more of the sort of things I shop for... Including faux fur.

Hobby-wise, the last thing I've been doing is buying and gifting things other people have made, mostly 3D printed dolls. There are so many cute designs now, and people can program the printing so that the eyes and stuff are ready coloured. I also took a picture of a cute 3D printed Jack and Sally to show you, Trystan.

If not for the fact that they have done shady stuff involving smuggling stolen artifacts into the US, plus some of their employee insurance policies, I'd suggest Hobby Lobby. But because of those things, I can't, in good faith, recommend them. I'll shop there if absolutely necessary, but yeah...

Also, I want a resin 3d printer someday. and a filament printer too... in-house, so I don't have to drive anywhere to get things made.

working on my recreation of an Edwardian crochet skirt. halfway through the really boring part, and as the pattern's written, it'll fit me really nicely.

Wooo, found out that the Joanns here wasn't closed yet, so managed to get some yarn that I needed for a wip afghan, a few skeins of yarn I've been wanting, too much fabric (that I have no clue what I want to make with yet) and some candles.
And may try to stop in again Fri or Sat for more yarn...

I'm getting a start on a dress I'm making from an oversized t-shirt. I've already washed and dried it, and tried it on, so I have an idea of what I wanna do in terms of changes... Gonna chop the sleeves and collar off, use the sleeve material to widen the hem overall by 12 inches (6 inches on each side) and crochet lace to go around the collar and armscyes so they stay the same size they were when I first got the shirt. Still trying to decide if I wanna add length to the dress with more crochet lace or not... but that's a later part of the project.
