I'd guess it's either a #2 or #3 weight yarn. Thinner than worsted, but thicker than sock or lace weight yarns.
I don't have many yarns thinner than worsted, but I'll dig through stuff before I finish and send Custard (so Custard can guard the shipment!).
Any colors in particular that you need/want?

Purple, green, brown, blue. I've got the cactus book, and I have a garden theme book with flower, butterfly, and mushroom dolls. But some of those I can do in worsted. The garden book actually calls for small bits of scrap worsted, and I'm only thinking to get the thinner stuff because I've started one of the dolls in that thinner stuff, and the cactus book seems to call for the thinner stuff. Still, most of the cacti would look cute bigger anyway, other than the moon cactus, and I already made that one. Oh, and the burrow's tail. I guess it'd look funny with thicker yarn. XD Eeeeee! Custard!

Trystan: LOL! yeeah. That's what kept me from crocheting for a lot of years.

A mushroom sprite I made from the wrong material because it's what I had.
I've also made a blue bunny from another kit that was pretty much a waste of money, but I haven't photographed him yet.
Silver ball cactus, Grumpy bunny, and Shroomy were my crochet projects finished this month, though I started the cactus last month. I've also got a flower doll started, but need to get more yarn. Cacti and bunny came from kits (one of which went in the trash/got recycled), the others are from patterns I bought from Etsy.

as for all my blankets, I'm pretty sure there's only one or two that have all the same color. and I've mixed weights too XD

XD Ambidextrous brains can have strange side effects! Using a new cast on method got me turned around. On the plus side, I can now cast magic circles nearly without thinking. Then I just have to remember which side is which after I've pulled them up.

XD It's very cool. I kind of envy people who can use wooly blankets. I'd just cook.

it took me quite a while to learn the magic circle, but now I use it all the time!

i actually have three blankets in the works, the first two on that link up there are listed as a WIP! I'm working on 'em!! XD

Am getting frustrated while reading through a bag pattern I want to make because it includes a mesh pocket, which I want to omit because I mainly want the bag to be a travel bag for my loom knit stuff and the loom pegs will just snag/tear the mesh, but I literally can't tell if leaving it out will cause problems with overall assembly of the bag.

The only part listed as "optional" in the actual pattern is the exterior bag flap, which is just barely big enough to cover the zipper.

I hate being a visual learner sometimes. It makes patterns so much harder to use.
Like, I can wing it and hope I succeed, but flying blind especially on big projects makes me exceptionally anxious and unlikely to finish it.

I have two mushrooms now! The new one came off nearly without a hitch. I still had to look crosseyed at the gill pattern for a bit before I came to kind of think I understood what to do. XD

Kaderin, can't you ask the pattern maker? I know with the mushroom pattern I was plaguing the poor author til I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. *hug*

Trystan, the only thing I don't like about it is it kind of wastes yarn with the long tails you sometimes wind up with. I've learned how to cast it with just a one finger loop instead of a two finger loop, and I still think there's too much yarn waste. lol
