Hm true. Someone I know was a fan of shameless, but pretty sure the US version didn't have James McAvoy.

I haven't seen the UK version. The US one has its moments. But even though it's meant to cross lines, it's another show that tries to make male rape funny which takes it too far to me. One of the characters is also way too intolerable.

I might try watching it eventually, since it seems different enough. I have no idea how the US one keeps getting renewed, because the writing is really sloppy.
