I would have to take a spoon with me to the grocery store because it would melt in this heat I'd have to eat it on the 10 minute car ride :/

Something that works relatively well (for me, at least, in 100+ degree heat) is to bring a backpack and a slightly wet towel. If your car ride's only ten minutes ("only" because Walmart's a 45 minute walk for me), you can buy frozen stuff, wrap it in the towel, and stick it in your backpack.

I've gotten accustomed to bringing freezer packs and a freezer bag when getting anything frozen. But it's usually because it's also a long drive home along with the heat.
