There was a character that created these elaborate Rube Golberg devices to take herself out though. I think. I could be remembering the wrong one.

I really liked 'the square', academy nominated this year. It's swedish (but I fortunately watched with Portuguese subtitles) and it's one of those movies that start normal and it gets crazier.
