Lo and behold my moms freezer went out last night, she lost almost no food cuz she just threw it outside in the snow XD

Yeah my parents lived in the penthouse in their grad school days, and they kept the ice cream cold by sticking it on the balcony.

Yeah you don't wanna leave milk or eggs in the snow over night. . . they don't taste right after de-thawing to say the least. . .

We were fortunate that nothing in our fridge went bad the night our power went out. I didn't actually trust the milk though and made sure to pour what was left down the toilet.

Why not down the sink?

Because that way I avoid getting a sour milk smell from the pipes, at least pouring it down the toilet and flushing dilutes the milk and clears it from the plumbing.
