Do any of you know how to turn back on notifications for news posted? I just found out about the festival because I forgot to check earlier and was waiting for the email notification.

I'm making pumpkin ice cream pie tonight.

Tomorrow we'll have roasted duck with sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts with chestnuts.

Thanks for looking, Mekatra. It notified me of the Halloween Festival so I was expecting an email about this one and got busy and didn't check until today.

We had duck several years ago and it was really scrumptious. I stuff it with garlic and oranges and baste it with a sherry mixture. The brussels sprouts are a nice change from the roasted ones I usually make. I use a little cream and it's really quite yummy.

She's a terrible cook. Her idea of fancy cooking is buying the name brand boxed dinner. XD

She got a new boyfriend though and suddenly has decided she wants to learn to cook.

Cooking for a boyfriend is a good reason to learn how to cook. I wonder how many disasters she'll have though before she perfects her cooking? I had several as I was learning. :P

experimenting with meat is an expensive hobby LOL!

my hand is still orange from cutting up potatoes and carrots on christmas xD my sister did a delicious roast and we cut up red and gold potatoes and carrots to roast with it. then i cut up some more carrot coins and added the extra potatoes into the chicken noodle soup that we made for lunch. made it so much better ^___^

Food stains are rough. Whenever I chop up fresh turmeric I have orange fingers for a week or more. That stuff stains like nobody's business, but boy is it tasty. :)

It also makes a dye for fabric that is really pretty. It's yellow without being obnoxious
