Wait, you were actually HAPPY to have been surrounded by bees? While I do like and appreciate them, I wouldn't want a bunch to surround me.

I was like a school girl with the cutest boy flirting with me, I was so damn ecstatic.
I had one in my hair, and had a whole bunch landing on my hand almost all day, even had one crawl over my phone while I was texting. They're so much more gentle than a lot of people make them out to be.

I refuse to believe this. One time, a bee decided to walk into someone's underwear and sting them on the butt.

Bees and wasps aren't the same thing. They're both members of Hymenoptera but bees are docile gatherers while wasps are aggressive predators and parasites. Bees have barbed stingers that cause them to tear out of their bodies when they attack (this kills the bee :( ), while wasps have straight stingers that allow them to sting repeatedly.

Bees are completely harmless if you don't upset them.

And wouldn't YOU be upset if you accidentally ended up in someone else's underwear?

I've only been stung once in my whole life, by a very angry bumble bee.
That's because I tried to pick her up after the dogs tries to eat her.

You forgot to mention how wasp are just overall assholes. My mom use to get stung by wasps living in our fence every time she mowed the lawn back when I was a child, and once I watched a wasp eat a butterfly I was pretty upset at those little black and yellow monsters.

The bee landed on the seat of their pants, or something and decided to walk into their underwear. There was no accident. Also, Killer Bees are territorial and will sting when you are within a certain distance from their hive.

@Satan: I don't like wasps... poor butterfly.

The bee climbing into the underwear was probably an accident. It likely thought it was just exploring around, and then it got scared. It wasn't looking for a fight -- since fighting is almost 100% fatal to bees, they prefer to avoid it unless they think they're going to be dead anyway.

Killer bees aren't a natural breed. They're a hybridization of two separate bee subspecies that aren't native to the same parts of the world. It was human action that brought them into existence. It's not especially surprising that they don't behave the same way.

"And then it got scared" XD

You do have a point about the killer bees, though.

If you give them enough time, and don't try to swat at 'em, bumblebees will work themselves free if they sting you, thus ending the encounter with them flying away no worse for wear.
I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns.

@Boris It's kind of preposterous to think all bees are aggresive/sting people for no good reason because of a few poor bees in pants/killer bee(they need their bee title revoked).

Like Coda said, I doubt that bee said "Y'know, I'd like to die today" then crawled that persons pants and stung them.

Why is the bee at fault anyways?? Shouldn't the human be at fault for having their pants open that much a bee crawls in? ;)

The bee likely began feeling sqaushed and panicked, I think a majority of bee sting stories are heae are because "I accidently sat on it" or "I addicently put my hand over it" never "That fucker came out of nowhere and told me to put em up!"

Long story short, bees are a lot sweeter than people make them out to bee, I've been handling wild bees sincr a child, putting my fingers on flowers letting them crawl on me, getting pollen on my nose and letting them land on my nose. If people are gentle with them, they're gentle back! :) (Please love the bees Boris, they need more love)

@Den I've never been stung till that big ole bumble, so I kinda quickly shook my hand, when I found her again she looked like she was dying :( I felt so damn bad I just wanted to save her from being eaten.. I guess it was either my hand or the dogs mouth.

That honey looks really beautiful!

This Thursday a bunch of bees decided to dunk themselves into a bottle of Sprite. (At least I think they were bees, and not bee-colored flies.)
I like the idea of bees, and am pretty certain I won't get stung..but being comfortable around bugs is difficult.
