i got them when i was unemployed, jumped through all the hoops, but now it's the end of the time i was given, idk if i'll get renewed. meh!

i've been without them for almost 6 years....then i lost my job (to them closing the store) and i had to go to unemployment classes to get my unemployment money (a whopping $400 to last me 3 months =_= my rent each month is that alone...), so i figured i'd try to get them again.

I probably could have gotten them, but I didn't feel like jumping through hoops. So now I have massive credit card bills because I used my credit cards to buy groceries

My credit is under 500 so I have little to no luck in that category XD Not without TERRIBLE interest rates

Yeah...my credit score had been surprisingly high (over 700) but has been steadily dropping since almost 2 years ago...

5 of the things in collections only have 2 years left before they hit the 7 year mark, so I'm hoping those will just poof. I can pay 2-3 of the other things and get those marked off, then wait for those to drop, then pay off the rest.
That is the short of my 5 year plan XD

Mine will probably improve once my work schedule at my second job stabilizes and I can rework my budget and start paying down my credit cards and resume payments on my 1 semester of college that went to collections and I haven't been able to pay since the grocery store closed and I got laid off.

sounds like the same situation i'm in, kaderin *hugs everyone*

my mom's trying to help me out of the hole i dug, but my sister comes first priority. like she bitched and bitched about how all the kitchen smells waif downstairs and saturate all her clothes (her job is selling clothing on ebay), which she was gravely exaggerating about that, but anyway...she convinced our mom to buy her a $5k shed for the backyard for her inventory. so far, we've had it since june and nothing is in there. she had to paint the floor to seal it, caulk the seams and rid of the "bugs". one problem after another that she makes up not to use it >__> whereas, if she hadn't HAD to have that, i would only have about 2% of my debt left. but my mom's not rich either....*sighs*

Like....even if the smells do get into the clothes, couldn't she just wash them as they sell? Like...someone buys something so she washes and dries it pre-shipping?

That sucks, but you know as long as they don't smell bad it typically isn't an issue.

I am not in debt but teetering on the ridge of soon I will have issues if I can't get a job. I don't qualify for UE cause my last over the table job was more than 2 years ago. I kept myself a float for a good year and a half working under the table but then they decided to drop the position which I don't blame them for. Just now I am slowly sinking into a hole that i can't crawl out of with out a job. And I have done over 400 job apps in the past year with out getting one. So…. basically if in the next year I don't get a job I am gonna just sink into debt slowly until it drowns me.

My mom is in a shit ton of debt, and yeah… she is hugely bitter about it but you know you can't fix prior spending. She should be able to get a new home loan and get most of it covered but now she doesn't want to cause she thinks it is just transferring it. Which yeahhhhh it is. But she can get more than what she needs to pay off her debt, put some into her account and pay off the house loan on a 10 year mortgage. Her credit would go up and her cards would have less than half the limit so by the time she retired she would have the house paid off again, all of her debt settled and a nest egg again. But whenever I bring it up she goes feral on me, yet currently she refuses to give up any of the life style she likes so much.
