Be glad you don't get barometric migraines, Tam. For me, those like to linger for days, anymore. Though to be fair, that's the only real trigger I have anymore. I read ingredients, so I watch how much MSG I get (means I have to use stuff from the pantry instead of the seasoning packets, due to the MSG content in the seasoning). I go see my chiropractor when I feel the need to (which isn't very often anymore), and I keep hydrated, so really, having one factor that I have absolutely no control over isn't too bad, except it sucks, because the migraines are especially painful for me.
I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns.

Migraines are bad and can cause you to become handicapped.

Depends on how bad they get. I'd say I'm handicapped when I have a migraine as I'm prone on the couch and unable to so much as turn my head without increasing pain. Those are largely gone now, with the physio I've been doing.

Generally, depending on where the pain is in my head, I have a fair idea of what's causing a headache, and it varies from posture, tension, dehydration, stress, and diet. I get nasty headaches from synthetic vitamin B, and from something that I guess is MSG or similar because Miso could can give me the same nasty headache if I get it from particular restaurants, and it will arrive within 20 minutes.

What Quiet man Cometh said about how bad they get.

Aren't they just headaches? I believe headaches and migraines are two different things.

I think so, but when my head hurts I don't necessarily care which one it might be. Because of drug conflicts though, I am limited in what I can take, so headache or migraine, I'm stuck with the same pills and tricks.

I see. Well, bah humbug... just as long as your migraines aren't too bad, that's good.

I get headaches when I cry, though.

Yeah, getting a migraine = going the fuck to sleep (or at least attempting to), for me. Can't function when everything's too bright/loud and I feel like fainting. Showers are fun when I'm super exhausted/ hungry/ depressed, because yaaaay fainting hazard [/sarcasm].

What sort of drink?

...Speaking of which, I could really go for like... three shots of straight-up vodka right now. It's not even noon yet.

Did you hear about the news reporter who suffered from a migraine on live televisions while broadcasting? That was awful! She's alright now, but still.

I can't decide if I want to buy more event items or buy more raffle tickets. I already have all the event items, but I want more.

We're all mad here.
I've taken to booze the odd time for stress or headaches to avoid more pills. I usually put it in my tea.

I'm told peppermint works for migraines. For my part, I would just find a muscle relaxant of some kind, lie down on my back with my head on a pillow, in the dark, and try to move my head as little as possible, and hope that the migraine doesn't trigger any nausea. That's a bigger problem for me than the headaches. Sleeping wasn't as important as just staying still and trying to relax.

I don't quite have all the event items yet. I keep having to check to see what I've already got. Not planning on getting them all though. I forgot about the tickets. I think I just got one. I tend to over buy event things to give to new users later, or people who don't have them. I've still got a fair few older event things in my inventory.

Only if by "almost", you mean "halfway".

....Booze...in tea? Erm. Also, do you need some tickets? I've extra.

I get 'em on one side of my head, generally the right, and it feels like someone's pushing an ice pick into my head. and then they tend to settle behind my right eyebrow, and my right temple. Bright light hurts, sound hurts, and I just want to hide and cry. when they get to that point, the only thing that really helps is napping in the basement with all the lights off, under a sorta-heavy blanket. I literally can't be upright for more than a few minutes when they get really bad. Ibuprofen is also a big help.
