I finally got an email I've been waiting to get for over a month. It's for a Mandarin Chinese class I'm taking this summer that starts on the 22nd. I'm both excited and terrified because I've never been to the part of the city that the university it will be at is in, but I don't have to pay for it and it comes with a bus pass, so yay~! It's an all-day no English thing with native speakers that goes over culture as well, so this should be kinda fun. (And stressful... But mostly fun.)

But today I am baking a cake (from a box), making rice krispies, and fried rice!

Today I made it through work. I left early, but I still made it through.

I planted one of my plant boxes today with some of the seedlings I grew, and stuffed the rest along with any other stray unplanted things into a big pot my sister is lending me so no more tiny little individual pots to deal with!

Booked high tea with my sister in law! Finally!

So in an industrial area in town here there's the "Dickens' Sweet Shoppe" being a bakery, tea room, store, and museum encased in copious amounts of British paraphernalia. Who'd have thought? Cute though. High tea with petit fours and imperfect cucumber sandwiches! Among other things.

Right now it's regular tea with rum. Not bad.
