Go right on ahead! Some of them, you'll have to make larger if you want to be able to read them, but I'm fine with that.

@Potironette: Yes, like that.

That'd be pretty! Sometimes I wish I knew script better to read it--especially when my teachers and classmates write in script x'D. (Though with fonts I can read it because everything is completely uniform.)

Cursive is a dying art form because the reason for cursive to even be worth using is long obsolete. Cursive became a thing because of quill pens and fountain pens, where you can't stop the ink from flowing. The invention of the ballpoint pen, where you have to put effort into making the ink come out, defeated the purpose of cursive.

Of course, handwriting as a whole is a slowly-fading art form thanks to computers; it'll always be necessary, but people increasingly don't care about it beyond the bare minimum necessary for communication.

i mean, even if it is a "dying" art form, some things won't go away that easily. there are plenty of people that still have a passion for that sort of thing. heck, my bff relatively recently started getting into it. she sent me a nice ink and watercolor sign for my bedroom door. it says "cunt zombie". i love it.

Good thing I'm not running for president or planning to become a dictator. I'd make it law that cursive must be used when writing. Only those with writing disabilities would be exempt from the law. The only problem is that people would lie to get away with writing cursive.

Does "my cursive handwriting is illegible" count as a disability?

What reason do you have that your cursive writing is illegible?

Because due to my educational circumstances growing up, I switched from a 2nd-grade class that hadn't yet studied cursive to a 3rd-grade class that had already finished it. I got enough instruction during that class's penmanship review to be able to READ it, but I can't WRITE it -- I have to DRAW it based on my knowledge of what the letterforms are supposed to look like, which is much slower and lacks the fluidity of experience. My signature isn't even a valid representation of the letters in my name.

My non-script handwriting isn't exactly ATTRACTIVE, but it's at least readable.

To me the more ligatures, serifs and swirls the better xDD
For serious work tho, a friend of mine gave me some pretty cool adobe fonts, I used them for academic work instead of the classic times new roman/verdana.

At Gallagher: Mine too, but I prefer cursive.

@Coda: Oh, I see. Well... would you be willing to take classes if you were able to so your penmanship would be readable?

@Mdom: I agree. I want my cursive to look like cursive of old... you know... like back in George Washington time. Of course, I'd be willing to study cursive from before then too. I found my favourite fonts... I am wanting to look for more cursive fonts, though. Anyways, yeah, what fonts did you use?

Not particularly, no. If I cared, I would have taught myself by now. There's no real win in it for me to bother taking the time to learn.
