Well one hour before studying almost never sticks, it may help you get 5 of the easier points in a test if the test have 50-100 points but you usually get them anyways if you have studied it before. Is my experience.

Generally studying one hour before doesn't help, in my opinion--unless something needed to be clarified or you suddenly realize that you missed something.
