One reason I could think of is because she honestly doesn't know, or she knows and is afraid of someone else knowing what she knows. Either way the second one would mean she's scared, and if she's scared about Bonsey's past she must also be scared of him and possibly for good reason.

Clever, but now that leaves us with mostly Tavish and partially the butler as the culprits. But why would Molatto be a target I wonder. Maybe she questioned someone she shouldn't have between the first two murders?

Torture Bosney with the fact that he has a son, he could have been a father had he not run away, and that there will always be a child of his out in the world that he will ever meet, nor does he have a name to track him down with. I mean sure, he could spend time tracking him down, but what do you say to your child after 30 years of not even knowing they existed?
