So, have you ever found something and was like 'I wonder what this is worth' only to look it up and see its worth over 100-200$ or more?

I work off my foodstamps at the local Family Mission where I live. Like always its full of drama and stress. On occasion we get to take stuff home. I've brought home clothes, Tiger Plushies, blankets and trinkets for mom, and apparently a 1997 Cleveland Indians Baseball with the team's names all over it!

How this ball was found was, we were finishing up some last minute cleaning at the mission on tuesday and Evalyn goes 'oo a baseball with names on it' I asked if I could have it and she handed it over to me. And that is how I got the ball.

Looking up the names found that it was from 1997, and that it is worth about $200 if I sell it. I could get more, who knows when the last this list was updated.

My heart stopped each time I deciphered the cursive writing and figured out a name, and stopped once again as each name said they were on the Indians team around 1996-1997.

what helped me figure out if this was a 96 or 97 ball was the fact that Borders was not on the team in 96 =)

While not nearly as valuable as that, I did find something neat recently, while going through my grandfather's office for paperwork...

I found a shiny, perfectly good, leather-wrapped spyglass. Like the sort of thing you'd see a pirate using to evaluate his quarry. No idea why he had one, but I think it's super cool, so it's mine, now.

A long long time ago when I wasn't soo knowledgeable and didn't know what magic cards where but knew pokemon and yugio. I was helping my then step fathers family clean out an abandoned house they owned. There was lots of weird things, including magic cards. I thought they where awsome and so cool looking lol. They most likely didnt have any value but still cool lol

A penny dateing from The victorian age got £5 for it as a kid that was a darn good find

My dad finds a lot of things because he turns over apartments for the company. They tell him that whatever he finds, he can keep.
He's brought home a lot of jewelry,game systems with games, books and more.
Not too long ago he found 4 boxes full of sport cards. Not sure how much they are worth since they got stolen from our storage before we could check though ((´д｀))

My grandfather found a tiffany gold chain before. He ended up giving it to me.

I have yet to find something valuable myself. Maybe someday.

haha That would be pretty sweet.
In total he's found 5 ps2, 1 PS3, 2 PS1, a Gamecube, 2 XBOX's and a SNES. Oh and 1 DS which is great because my niece snapped mine in half.
Some were broken but I could fix most of them. The snes was like in super good condition so we kept that. I missed having a snes around.

I'm looking to buy one but all the rent to own places over charge, and layaways are weekly payments and i need monthly.. sucks being poor.. xp

The rent to own places are definitely overpriced. I tried getting my ps3 out of there when it first came out. Decided against.

I ended up getting my PS4 by going to gamestop and getting the credit card they now offer so I make payments on it.

I don't have any credit so I can't do that. ;-; i'm jobless living off of moms SSI income and working off my foodstamps at the family mission.

I don't work either. I'm living with my parents but my grandmother had put a few things under my name, like my laptop, and paid them so I managed to build credit.
I'm trying to find a job though since I feel awful that my grandmother is still paying most of my bills. She says she doesn't mind since I clean her house for her every week but still T.T

i don't drive so the only place close enough for me to work is still too far thanks to my asthma ;-;

in the spring i had an asthma attack trying to get there just to buy beefjerky, i had to turn around and go home, had my mom on the phone just in case i collapsed.

I get rides to my jobsite to work off my foodstamps, i only work 6 days a month for that place. so i don't need to worry too much there.

I don't drive either. Working on getting my license soon though. My gramps is willing to take me to my job though when/if I get one before I get the license.

Asthma sucks. My gram has it and she has a lot of issues with it.
Can you ride a bike instead of walking or will that make your asthma act up as well?

I was riding a bike when the attack happened x'D i got lots of stares by those passing by me as i sat on the ground talking to mom on the phone trying to calm my lungs down.

walking it is too far for me if it were to get a job there. i'd have to stop and rest a lot and would end up being late. ><
