NO ILLU, BAD, GET OUT OF GALLA'S THREAD! DON'T MAKE ME GET THE BROOM!

Aaanyway.

None of the ideas are too much, guys. I definitely love doing extra hairs whenever I can, and matching ears/tails that match the hairs? Yeah, I'm all about that, too.

Rainbow can be done, but just remember that it is a bigger process than normal recoloring. If I can do it, awesome, if not, I'll do what I can. The same goes for any base editing, like adding flowers to those branch leaves, Ginger. If I can, I will, because the idea is great, but I might not be able to.

Also remember guys that while multiple parts from one item is probably going to happen, ALL the parts are probably not, so if you have a standout favorite pose, feel free to let me know. Otherwise, I'll be going with whatever is most difficult to get the same effect from with other items.

I need to hug you for that. It somehow hadn't even occurred to me. Shame on Espy for not remember their own items.

Now in a separate post because of tabbing back and forth...what's I'd personally like to see with different recolors.

-Sylvan ears from Verdant Lagoon
-Some non-gold recolors for Maitre Corbeau (emphasis on the hood, really)
-Sword from Line Breaker
-Sword from Space Goon
-Different recolors for the Tufted Highland event set (might be difficult, seeing as how there aren't any actual accessories)
-The Hare carnival mask
-Carnival Faces event item

While it's cool to see a bunch of colors like rainbows, it would be great to have a huge set of items of one color being focused on for a huge set of items. It gives one color a huge range of variety, and it would be cool to see avatar's using different shades of red for example.

So perhaps instead of having this years monthlies organized like wings, hats, ect. It would be a more simpler Red pack, blue pack, green pack, rainbow pack, ect.

It's a thought, last year was the year of specific variety, so why not make this the year of variety of colors? It would be much easier in the long run of recoloring everything because you could be recoloring the same set of items (it would be just like the chore to mass save different colored items for the shops), and it gives us a huge range of basic colors and shades to work with outfits. So it makes looking for a specific color for an item much easier in the long run.

My only question is if people like the idea of specific color packs, should each set be identical or each have a different individual item (or items) to help separate the packs? (I assume some items might not all work to be rainbow.)

Edit: Also after giving it a little more thought, some items that you will throw into a color pack might already be that same color. So you could replace that item with any item you want to help individualize the packs because that color was already available.

Illu, that is still very much an option. I'm getting down a plan based off of what all of y'all want before I dig into how to sort them this time around, and so far, I'm thinking that sorting them by color themes might actually work really well. The fact is that things can still change when I sit down to try some of these on the items themselves. Sometimes, the shading or gradients of a set, or even just one pose in the set, just won't lend itself nicely to the color(s) we want to do for it. As it is, many monthlies have specific poses manually adjusted to make them match the rest of the set, because neither our pixelists nor our gradients are perfect.

I personally would love to do a rainbow pack, just because those rainbow items always make for a fun variety, even if they're kind of awful for legit outfits. They are a lot of work, though, and it would come down to if there are enough parts that you users want that will actually work well with it.

So, we'll see. There's lots of planning left to do, though I am getting an idea of what y'all want most already. It should be an interesting batch, whether they're bundled by theme, or color, or whatever.

wow so many pretty items. I'd like to see darker shades and a few more earthy tones on Verdant lagoon. They'd look stunning and gve a nice cosplay element.

I like the idea of color packs a lot. I think even if a single color per pack doesn't work out, there could be like a "Pastel Pack," a "Earth Tones Pack," a "Black & White Pack," a "Neon Pack," et cetera. That might help increase the variety of items you can use, while still letting people buy the specific "look" of colors that they want. Extra bonus of being able to use more colors in general.

So different color palette sets? That could be a option as well.

Pastel
Smoke
Wood
Neon
Rainbow
Earth
Fire
Ice

There are limitless color palettes if you go this route. But if you go the one color route, you could do that one color and every single shade of it. So you can essentially get a pastel red, fire red, and so on in that pack as well.

-Shrugs-
It all depends on how much work the staff is willing to put in to this idea, and how many items they would want to branch out into.

Illu, I think you mean how much work I'm willing to put into it, lmao.

I like this idea, but it's going to take considerably more planning if each pack uses mostly the same poses in it, or else they'll become unreasonably huge.

Law, different transparencies is an interesting idea, too, but there's always some types of poses that don't really work with it except for if you're like me and do suuuper specific themes, lmao. Iunno, might happen.

Looots of planning in my future. oh boy.

Well, I suggested some fur items and some animal themed things for the body (mostly because when I suggested it on another site the artist themself outright shot down the idea). I would personally like to see some more things in the token shop, I've almost bought everything I want! x'D So Maybe more wing items, like maybe a Harpy set or something? So that the arms look like wings? Just a thought. x'D

I think we already have some things like the fur and wings...though improved or new designs of wings and furry things wouldn't be that bad...

Initial cuts for yearlies is putting us at 47 different poses. Yikes!

I am thinking of doing all of these poses in themed packs, with two different color options per pack. This would give those 47 poses 12 new color options across all of the items, more if I don't die from doing six, and possibly a bonus pack with fewer poses to get some rainbow for y'all.

Obviously I won't have these done until January, but I'll be doing my best to get them done as soon as possible.

I have no clue what you just said there. o.O Are you talking about how much work is required for doing donation sets and eggs?
