-waves- @ Kilala ; Yes. =-= Feeel the mantra~ Baby yarn? o_o; That sounds potentially scary. ;~; But i see. o_o; Theif sphere is actually pretty good. You can even do a bit of a cheating thing and have each of the girls attack in time with another , since the thieft hits twice, to not let the enemy get a turn in or something. XD Plus I pretty much always have a thief to steal all those good items and gil x: /kinda wants to play it again now dammit. XD I never trade games in o_O; I always find someday to replay them. ;~; -clings to games- Phantasy star is SOOO AWESOME <3 Especially number 2, the illuminous or whatever. it's based on your own made character, and theres alot more customization options and such. x3 I got my lvl 122 character (beast) with a hp regenerator on his armor that basically makes him invincible. XD /hewassocutetoo although I changed his look -alot- I also read about recieving an armor add-on that looks like energy wings for the character but I've tried soo hard and I never got it. :c Yeahh. XD Multiplayer on games like that would be fun~ holy-dam. XD you're like lawman with all that. I wish I could get interested in more stuff but eh. ;~; x3

Baby yarn is a super soft, light weight yarn, specifically spun to use for baby items (blanket, booties, hats, etc). I love using it, but it seems sooo expensive sometimes. Although I guess for the amount of yarn (16 oz for about $8 USD) isn't too bad. Especially considering that regular worsted weight yarn is about $6 USD for 14 oz.

I really wish I could find my copy so I could play it again. ;-; It got lost the first time I moved. I don't either, but if my hubs didn't we'd have waaaaaaaaaaay too many games and not enough shelves to store them... XD He has a 200 disc folder full of ps2 games, most of which are his. We have Phantasy Star Universe. (I just had to do some research to figure that out, lol.) I think I made it up to level 50 or so (and surprised my hubs in doing so). He didn't realize I had been playing the ish out of it, trying to catch up with his level 60, lol. It is. *nod nod* :3 And yeah... I've been wanting to start an av art shop, but I haven't had any luck with drawing anybody here lately. Most of the people I talk to regularly have had uber complicated avs, and I haven't quite master above simple yet. World's worst for poofing during a conversation. Sorry. ![]()

      Hello again, V. :)

Yeah, I'm not much of an internet learner either. My sister handles all that, and then I learn from her. ;) I checked out youtube for some videos since I'm not sure how to explain the spinning thing. This first one shows pretty much what I do. I use a top weighted spindle since that's what my sister has. spinning yarn 1 This second video doesn't show the spinning all that well but it shows the leg method that my sister does, and the beginning of the video talks about the fibers you spin with. My sister uses Marino wool (sp?) so I've used that. You can buy fiber that is already dyed and stretched out and rolled, so you can start spinning with it right away after stretching it out a bit, which she shows in the second video Spinning Yarn 2 (fibers) I'm always over spinning the yarn, or letting the thread get too far into the "draft" that they talk about. You also have to keep an eye on the unspun fiber part dangling because if it gets too close to the spinning part you end up with a big matted mess. My sister typically has the spindle working all the time, while I tend to spin and then stop, and work the yarn up like the girl in the first video does. It all takes practice. My sister's little shop page is closed for now as she has no time much for them, but she's sending me a doll picture in a day or two so I can post that when I get it. :)

Ah. And yeah I guess I'd imagine it would be expensive.

So how much could you make with 16 oz or 14 oz of yarn? Or would that be a bit too hard to explain? xD Awww.. You lost quite a few things in that move huh? Then again, I guess everyone does. X: I sorry though. /helps you look? xD Lmao. I have like a nice full mini-dvd rack of games. And then a few boxes full of older ones (super nintendo, regular nintendo, n64) So I have aloot, but it doesn't seem like too many. Wow... he must have all types then. XD I think I miight have... 80-100 on a rough estimate. Mostly rpg/tactics, the like. Lol. xD Niiice. What type is your character? Beast, human, machine, newman? (or were you playing as the main character?) PS Universe just seems a bit too outdated, compared to number 2, the Illuminous, I don't remember the last time I even played the original phantasy star universe, sadly. :c Aww. Well gotta start small and work up~ Maybe just practice random avi's for yourself? That would help you get a feel for the avatars and art style before going to more complicated ones?

I haven't played a whole lot of games really, I tend to stick with a few that I like, those mostly being PC based (Elder Scrolls for example). For PS2 I like Okami which I think would count as an RPG, it's rather Zelda like. I have FFXII but I sort of played myself into a corner and am probably going to restart if I decide to keep going with the game.

Actually, having just remembered, one of my favourite PS2 RPGs would be Champions of Norrath. I've been trying to find a used copy but have had no success. I like the multi-player aspect of the game, and it's fun. The craft store finally had my thread! So I bought the lot, minus one in case some other individual was in the same situation as I was and was also looking for said metallic floss. And I bought a whole lot more seeing as it was there. My mom is a terrible enabler when it comes to spending money on crafts!

I've heard quite a bit of Elder Scrolls. Only thing that I THINK I know about it is that it's sorta like skyrim? Like you make your own character and explore a medieval-ish type world? xD Idk

I've played Okami before. 8'D I rented it but never beat it. It's a fun, different game, but not exactly my type. Your avatar reminds me of Okami, actually. XD (is that what you were going for?) Awhh. How did that work? :c Can't you just level up some more? Or find some treasures? I never liked FF12... I liked FFX alot better. x.x (and FFX-2) CoN is really fun. :3 I have both that and CoN Return to arms, which is alot better, imo. You can take your character customization in their skill trees a bit further~ And theres side missions and such. I have a badass elf archer. ;3 I did have quite a hard time finding one myself, actually. I think I bought mine online? Ah. XD How nice. Most people would have bought all of it. What do you do with your crafts? Sell or keep or give or what? XD

I've played Return to Arms as well, can't really remember what I thought of them when compared to each other. Both good though, and I think Return to Arms is easier to find than Norrath. I had an archer too. A wood elf with tattoos and pig tails that I called Minx. ;). Not my usual character setup.

In FFXII I left the world I started in too early, so now I'm stuck in this mine area that I can't leave until I beat the boss, which I'm not tough enough to do yet, so I'm pretty much running back and fourth between a few hallways attempting to get to a high enough level to take the boss monster out. I also made a pretty shabby build with Vaan, so if I leave him to his own devices he dies. The other characters manage themselves well enough. Skyrim is Elder Scrolls, ES V precisely, so yeah, that's what it is. ;). I love the games because of how open ended they are. You can basically muck around and do whatever you want with your own character and follow the main quest if and when you feel like it. I started with Daggerfall (ES2) and went through Morrowind and then Skyrim. I lost my Morrowind game which I'm still sore about, since I had mods and the expansions set up, and piles of treasure, but I'll get back to it one day. I love that you can essentially fashion any character you can think of. I usually have several games going at once depending on what sort of character I feel like playing. I typically don't do a lot with my crafts. If I don't put them somewhere to gather dusts, then I make gifts. I've though about selling some things, such as the peg dolls I used to make, or paintings, but never really got to far into the idea. I have a couple people in family and friends who would like a painting from me that I still haven't done yet. I'm pretty slow with what I decide to do, going with whatever strikes me at the time, so I have piles of projects going on at once. Right now I have two cross stitch pieces, a partial acrylic painting, start of a watercolour painting, a mostly finished mixed media piece that needs mounting, couple knit projects from years ago (I have since mostly forgotten how to knit), three scrapbooks in various degrees of progress, something involving eggs, and the stuff that's still floating around in my head that I haven't yet started. I'm sure there's more but it's not coming to mind right now. EDIT: Oh! And on the avatar, I really can't take much credit for anything, as I'm only wearing three items. Immortal Worlds, Kistune, and Groove Box. The Kistune is one entire piece, with the red design and fiery tails, so I suppose you'd have to ask if the item designer was channeling Okami. Can't remember who that would have been. It is a Japanese themed item though.

Return to arms is probably easier because its the sequel and things that tend to come earlier then others are always a bit harder to find. XD If they're wanted, or such. Return to arms is better imo, more skills stuff, sidequests, etc. x: Just more options in general...

Haha. Archers are badass, summon as many arrows as they need and then multishot point-blank or not. XD Or even rapid fire freeze shot to slow down the enemy with each shot. (easy summon arrows and freeze shot if both are lvl 1, which they are for me. :3) Ahh that sucks...Well it doesn't seem like you've gotten THAT far in it, so restarting shouldn't be too hard, I don't know. x: That game is just too... vast for me. XD Ah. xD Yeah that can be fun, but I perfer it in Rpg form. (romancing saga, saga frontier, etc) Awwh. Did you know where you might have lost it? I also love to make my own character. That's what I loved about phantasy star games. (Ive also played white knight chronicles, which had a good customization thing going for it too <3) Ah. So it's just mainly a hobby, nothing too much further. That's pretty fun. :3 haha. xD I try to do one thing at a time, so it normally tends to work out for me. X: But wow. XD That's alot. I just find if I start too many things I lose the energy to do them and wind up with nothing. x: It's still really good. XD I mean the item number doesn't matter as long as it's creative, yes? :3

Make that three stitch projects. I've just found another one hiding behind my computer screen that I forgot about. Ah well, it's only a little square, and almost done. I might finish it off now.

And I found the Elder Scrolls anthology today, with games 1-5 and all the expansions and DLC that I've been wanting to get. Weee! I do finish stuff, eventually. I get on kicks for various crafts or arts and that's what I do for a while, until the next kick. I'm doing paper stuff and writing now. Before that is was stitching, and before that it was drawing, and before that it was scrapbooking, etc. Now it looks like it's back around to stitching again, at least somewhat. And the Black Mage village song has been playing in my head now. I wonder why?

Oh, a 'kick' is generally like being really into something at the moment, like on a gaming kick, or a drawing kick. Thinking about it, I'm not actually sure where I got the expression from.

And yes, ES is a horrible time sink. I played Morrowind with the same save file for over ten years before I lost it (thought I had a backup but the one I have is *way* out of date and doesn't use the expansions). That's along with the other five save files I had going at the same time with other characters. I've clocked about 80 hours in Skyrim, and I've barely touched the game's main plot line, being more occupied with doing miniquests, exploring, alchemy, more exploring, black smithing, riding around on my horse because I can, etc. The Honest Game Trailer for Skyrim on youtube covers it nicely. When I acquire the right fabric, I'm tempted to make a small banner or dice bag with the Skyrim logo on it. When gaming and crafts come together! And yes, Vivi. FF9 is the only one of the games besides Tactics A2 that I've actually played a decent amount. Started XII, and a little into War of the Lions. I might get WotL on a tablet if I were to get one, since I need to borrow a PSP to play my copy.
