[Liethell]

He meets his unhappiness with a smile. "Don't worry about me. I've lived through some ugly battles. I doubt what you do will really hurt me for long." He reaches for his hand and squeezes it, "I promise."

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent can't help it. It's the way he's wired apparently. "Still don't want to hurt anyone." Not even Liethell...even if he could take everything he could dish out or not...that's not the point. He doesn't even realizing it, but he has started to chew on his lip.

[Liethell]

"Well, think of it this way." He speaks as he looks both ways and crosses the street. "Technically, you won't be hurting me. I will feel pain for a brief second, and it'll be gone. It's like getting a shot, you know?"

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent just follows after him, looking as well on instinct. "Pain is hurting you." He almost feels like a petulant two year old or something at the moment. "And I don't even know if it'll work." He hopes it doesn't really. He doesn't want to hurt Liethell.

(and his reaction if he does will be: -runs away- XD)

[Liethell]

"Look, don't worry about hurting me, you'll see what I mean." He leans over to kiss his cheek, in an effort to alleviate the poor young man's anxiety. He closes the warehouse doors behind them. Light filters through broken windows, but there is no layer of dust, suggesting things get moved about here. "Okay, you stand right about there." He nudges him to a spot some feet away from the door and walls. He takes about ten paces back.
"You said that your powers only work when you're endangered, right?"

[Yokuutsu]

The kiss doesn't work on Vincent this time, he doesn't even squeak for once. He hopes Liethell is right on this one to say the least. He's never stuck around too long after it has happened to see how bad off the person was or wasn't...though he always made sure they got help and all. He just stands where he's told. A knot has formed in his stomach, worried about what's going to happen and all. He nods a bit slowly. "Yeah..." He doesn't like where this is going, that much is obvious.

[Liethell]

"Okay." He nods and he stretches his arms out, "I'm going to attack you first, on the count of three, okay?" He takes a deep breath and stands with his legs spread apart, arms out and ready for whatever may come..

[Yokuutsu]

The idea just makes Vincent feel really sick, though he keeps that down and away for the moment. He feels like just running away at this point, like a child, but he isn't for the moment. He nods a bit hesitantly.

When the attack comes, unless he's pretty much touching Vincent, it will be kind of like a powerful shove, but from the hulk almost, which, at the same time, causes Vincent to fall over.

(How I describe things: using more fictional characters! Woo)

[Liethell]

Liet shuts his eyes. He moves slowly and deliberately. His movements resemble some westernized sort of Tai Chi. "One." He counts, and he remains still as he does so. "Two...Three." He makes a sudden movement forward, and a bolt of light bursts out of his hand, aimed at Vincent. The arrow hadn't even had a chance to hit when both the arrow and Liet are shoved backwards with great force. Liet falls back, but with some grace, he manages to roll back onto his feet. The glowing bolt fades out of existence, and Liet is grinning. "That was wonderful! It seemed to backfire on you a little as well, is that normal?" He laughs a little, wiping dirt from the ground off his clothes. "Can we try it again?"

(It's alright! It gives me a good idea of what's happening!)

[Yokuutsu]

(And the lightning thing is only close range...when he does it. Touching or very close to it.)

Vincent is just so very anxious as Liethell counts down. He hates this already...because people have been hurt when something like this has happened. Liet looks fine though. He just gets up. "Yeah, that happens every time that happens." With lightning, it doesn't work like that. The other just gets fried and he runs for the hills pretty much. He just stares at Liet like he's crazy. "You....want to do that again?" His brain can't understand that at all.

[Liethell]

"Yeah! That felt more like simple force, and not the electricity you were talking about, so I want to see everything you can do. Is that okay with you?" He asks, but he already took his battle stance and--is he bouncing? He's bouncing, like a kid on Christmas. What a strange man.

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent kind of whines at his words. "That only happens up close." He kind of mumbles. Like close and personal, say if they were trying to stab him or something of the like. He just stares at the other. "How can you be so excited about this?" Liet is braking Vincent's brain at this point. Seriously.

[Liethell]

He keeps smiling, "How can you not be? Look at what you can do! It's wonderful. Do you know how many uses force can have? You can break a fall or stop a car from hitting someone, or you can give long distance hugs--There's so much you can do!" He looks so giddy, he even laughs, "And if you do have electrical powers, that's even better! You know what you can do? You can control electronics or sooth neural disorders or change the direction of a bolt of lightning or power a city for days!"

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent just frowns. "All I've seen it do is hurt people." So he can't be that optimistic about it, truth be told. Yes, it was to keep him safe, but he doesn't want to hurt people either. He just shakes his head. He'd rather keep all this under wraps, learn how to supress it more than use it. Not that he wouldn't want to learn how to use it eventually...but learning to just keep it from hurting people is more important to him at this point.

[Liethell]

His smile dampens a bit, and his overeager battle stance softens. "Really? Well...Just let me see the electrical thing. Just once before we go. I can't teach you how to control it if I don't know what it is. On three?"

[Yokuutsu]

"Really. All I've ever been able to do with it is hurt people." Vincent just sounds sad at that. He's never wanted to hurt anyone, but that's all he can do with his abilities at this point. He nods a bit. "Yeah, lets do it." He isn't too enthused, but how can he help otherwise.
