Kavi felt like a wall as Fabio leaned against him, and while this might have bugged him in the past, he'd gotten used to his roommate's antics and accepted it without blunder. In truth he found it similar to how Géraldine acted when they were together, yet the conversation differed heavily as Fabio began talking about riding horses and this stole his attention. "If I had to have assumed whether or not you've ridden a horse I would doubt that you have. Horses don't usually live in cities like this." Allowing for his arm to be taken and his fingers intertwined with his roommate he offered a shrug. "Do you want to ride a horse?" Kavi questioned until the subject of cowboy chaps joined in. Scoffing he pulled his hand back and shook his head, "This is why I shouldn't read you books before you go to bed, you have weird cowboy fantasies."

He shook his head laughing pulling the other closer. “It was only once, and dude would you rather have me awake all hours of the night... typing” He said the last word in mock threat as he bumped into Kavi. He could see the shadows of the dorm rooms looming just a head. “Maybe the problem is you should read me a different book, so I can have vampire fantasy...” In mock jest he nipped at Kavi “I von to suck your vlood.”

He shook his head as a chuckle escaped him, and as the other bit the air threateningly he gave him a playful push. "You're such a dork, dude." Kavi could only imagine the sheer amount of puns and jokes Fabio could make if they did read a vampire series, and the thought alone convinced him he'd never pick up a blood-sucking novel. "If I can guarantee you one thing, any one thing, it is that I will never read you a vampire book- rest assured. Werewolves are out of the question as well."

"Aw, but dude, then I would have sweet dreams." His lips relaxed into a playful smile while his head readjusted itself on Kavi's shoulder. "There is something utterly romantic about the damn blood suckers that made teen girls get their panties in a bunch. I mean wouldn't you like it if I sparkled each time you looked at me, as if I were fresh out of an Axe commerical? And what ever, werewolves are cool." He said but let it drop as they neared the light of the dorm. Slowly his grasp around Kavi's arms loosened until he was able to step forward and grab the door for the other. Fabios interlocked fingers never left Kavi's as they traveled through the ghostly halls and up to their room. Out side their door he fumbled with the keys. He was not drunk, but his heart thudded against his rib cage as his mind went through various what ifs. He wanted to kiss his unsuspecting room mate. The desire blurred with falling in the snow and rifts of girls just want to have fun. A split second of indecisive confused thoughts and his fingers went on autopilot jamming the key into the door, twisting and swinging the heavy wood wide into their dorm. Grinning he finally let go and took the box. "Cheers dude! And man, now I kinda want you to read a vampire novel to me for Christmas."

Kavi quite literally snorted when his roommate mentioned sparkling vampires, and Fabio's prompt of glittering every time, even if not under the pretenses of being a vampire, he was gazed upon made him give a hearty laugh. He had to admit that he was surprised at himself for laughing so freely, and quickly it faded away just as easily as the free-falling snowflakes when they landed upon the ground. Falling into the groove of comfortable silence as he was used as a heater in the last leg of their trip to the door, he started wondering about the cowboy cupcakes in the parcel. Had it been a silly decision to purchase them, or was it validated with their day of spontaneous trips and adventures? He hadn't had time to answer the question as they travelled through the dorm and to their door, yet he pondered it as the other fumbled with his keys. "If you find a non-twilight, vampire book from the library, then maybe I'll read it to you," Kavi said quietly as he let their door close with a click as he shed his coat and shoes.

The last words of the message had been lost to Fabio finding a pair of scissors to cut the thin trail of tape. He took his time opening the box and selecting a special one with a horse ring on top before find his way back to Kavi. He cornered the other as he took his coat off and kept him pinned close to the wall. "Kavi, there is one other thing I want but you have to promise it wont get weird between us.Your my closest bro and I don't want to chase you away to MIT." With a preamble over with Fabio did not wait for rejection. He leaned forward, pressed against the dark skinned body and kissed the lips. Heartbeats slowly passed while he waited to be pushed away.

By the time Fabio got their box of baked goods open and picked which cupcake he'd wanted, Kavi had already removed his shoes and tucked them away underneath his bed. He couldn't say the same of his roommate, having immediately delved into the cupcakes. With Fabio drawing closer, chosen cupcake in hand, Kavi shrugged off his own coat, gently tossing it onto his bed before he found himself taking a step back where his back hit the wall. Looking up at the snow dampened Fabio, he caught a glimmer of the deeper green eyes before he realized just how close they were. Screwing his face up into a confused look, Kavi opened his mouth to question what Fabio meant by his words, but there was no time to respond before the other drew closer and he felt the sensation of lips against his own. In a moment of shock and confusion, he didn't push back right away, and instead remained locked into the kiss until he came to his senses. giving the other a gentle shove away,he wrinkled his brows. "What was that for?"

At this moment, that seemed like an incredibly hard question to answer. Given their little distance apart Fabio found himself licking the cream off his cupcake to buy himself some time. "That was... well it is something I've wanted to do for a long time. " There was a rise and fall in his shoulders. Glancing upwards, Fabio gave Kavi a smile. There was still a bubble in his chest, as if he had done something wrong. The feeling that he was scaring his roommate away did not leave him. "I can't decide about us, or tell how you feel about us. There are times when we feel like more then friends, and well dude." His fingers found his way to the top of his beanie and dug into his scalp. "I can't tell, I was hoping the kiss would but... I dunno we still feel like the same bros you know?"

He'd been perplexed when Fabio spoke the truth of his feelings, unsure how to take it he blankly stared at his roommate and listened to his lack of evidence between what his feelings were now that they'd kissed and what they were before their lips ever touched. With Fabio shrugging in such a nonchalant way in response to his question, it felt like the sensation of the kiss and the significance it held vanished in a swift wisp of chilly winter air, never to return. Shrugging his own shoulders, Kavi reached out to tousle his roommate's hair and beanie as he slipped out from where he was trapped in the corner. "Still the same bros, just roomies, Fabio," heading over to his suitcase, he began rummaging about for his pajamas for the evening. "I'm still dating Géraldine too, dude, I wasn't trying to lead you on or anything."

As the other slipped past him there was nothing left to say. The touch, the words, they all felt like a punch to the gut along wit his own disregard for his feelings. He wanted this Christmas to be a good one not to have Kavi constantly watching out for him. He let his body fall against the wall and took a deep breath while his stomach settled out of the knots but they were too wound tightly. Silently he moved finding his towel and a reason to leave the other alone for a few minutes. He tossed his towel over his shoulders. "Dude you are right..." He rummaged around his bed for his shower things and left the other alone. It took him five minutes under the hot water to stop thinking about his idiotic words and then another 15 before he reasoned that it was for the best and more to hide any thing his face could show with the water. Fabio did not notice what his roommate was up to when he returned. He simply found his boxers, a book and retreated to his under cave of text to study for the finals with his music.

Never before could be truly remember a time when Fabio seemed so quiet and focused on the task at hand, and while me might have appreciate it at one time, Kavi found it to be almost eerie. His roommate was always so full of energy, even when studying for exams were at the front of their minds. Looking down at the book he held in his hands, Kavi came to realize that it would have been the first night since Fabio originally requested to be read to that he hadn't had the other listening intently to the story they read together. Gently folding down to mark the corner of the page where they both left off reading, he slipped the book back under his bed to opt for some studying of his own until the night grew too long and he retired to sleep with the idea that he'd study more the next day.

He spent his week in his cave when he was not in classes. There was no time for stories since he it was his last chance to pass and the test that defined life encompassed a lot of his grade. When it was all over though he was sure that once more he and Kavi had a celebritory cupcake, drink and a round of Karokee before they were kicked out of their dorms and into his mothers apartment. It was a few days after they were settled that Fabio dressed in one of his finer white shirt and black slacks. Even now he was still slower at dressing then his roommate who was already in the kitchen finishing the remains of his breakfast. He grabbed a poptart and quickly led the other out the door before they missed the train. They made it to work on time as was Fabios style. He quickly found his way through the maze of offices to the one that they were both suppose to report too pausing outside. He pressd his back against the door and looked at Kavi, he was about to raise his hand to wipe something away from the corners of the mans mouth but then stopped himself. "Dude you have something here." He pointed on his own face. "This is my aunts friend. She is the one that will give us the mail assignments and tell us where to go through out the office and stuff. You ready?"

It seemed like the few days they'd spent at Fabio's were much quieter than when they'd visited a week prior; The house still embodied the quaint comfort it held the last time they visited, though much quieter with Mrs. Rizzo having left for Italy to visit family. Even with her gone, the house still seemed to be filled with the smell of her cooking even though the kitchen was feeling empty without a presence cooking away at the stove.

Having roomed with Fabio before, Kavi found it easy to adapt from life at the dorms to the tiny apartment, perhaps even enjoying it moreso without the lingering stress of finals and the feeling of home which lurked around every corner. The days building up to their first day at work usually consisted of unpacking or catching up with family and friends who he hadn't seen in a long time via internet, and even so it seemed like they had to much to do.

The morning of their first day of work, Kavi mirrored his roommate's choice in clothes, looking both presentable and professional with a cheerfully colored button-down, tie, and slacks for a good first impression when meeting their fellow co-workers and boss. Having felt hard-pressed to leave early so as not to arrive late, Fabio seemed to be the only one to know where they would be working, and having lived with Fabio for half a year, Kavi knew that his timing was impeccable.

As was expected, they arrived just on time and were quickly directed to the cubicle which belonged to Fabio's aunt's friend. Through the maze of temporary walls they traveled until they came upon a woman who reminded Kavi much of Fabio's mother. Eccentricly dressed with baubly earrings and blue glasses, her hair tied up in a tight bun with a smile upon her pudgy face was enough to let Kavi know she was a kind woman, and as she stood up and he took in her short stature he was even more assured that she couldn't be very rude. Offering a hand he shook the woman's hand in greeting as he spoke, "We're here for the winter break data entry jobs, Kavi Chopra and Fabio Rizzo."

His friend kept save him from the lethal pinch on the cheek and infectious trip down memory lane. Instead the woman nearly got to business though she could not help but let it be known how much she knew the Rizzo's. It seemed she expected nothing less from Kavi as well. She handed them both a pile of papers promising she would show them they needed to do with them later. For now they simply trailed behind the bright, jingly woman as she hobbled down the maze of carpet into one corner of the office. It was Fabios favorite cubical. It was one of the few shared cubical, and though Fabio was used to not having a body beside him, it was not why he liked it. The space cornered the building so that both behind and beside him he got a view of the city. She promised she saved it just for him, this time she managed to swipe a slobbery kiss on Fabios cheek and something he felt would have been a pinch on his rump. He made sure not to rub his face while she explained how to log into the systems interface, how to file the paper work and how the two system folders worked, one drawer for finished another for their incomplete,. Hourly their folders were emptied to be taken to the companies library where they archived hard copies.

It wasn't until she was done and Kavi had his log in that Fabio plopped into his seat. It bounce and spun with his weight as he stared into the grey landscape threatening to douse the city in more of the wintery mix. Once he had taken in the view he turned to Kavi with a wide grin on his face. "Well dude... welcome to the high life." He tried to be impressive and lean back in his chair with his arms folded behind his back. He caught himself as the chair leaned farther then he anticipated but still his wide grin was faced at his roommate.

Even with the city covered in a layer of white and gray, it was a beautiful site to see with the wide windows positioned so close to their shared cubicle. Likely he would have continued to stare out of the window had it not been for Fabio's comment and flub with his seat. Kavi laughed quietly under his breath as he found his own seat, swiveling it towards his computer without as much of a blunder as Fabio had managed. "Some high-life," he said with another laugh, "minimum wage, the only thing worthy of a high rung on the corporate ladder is the view."

"Perhaps for you" He confessed, relaxing into his chair and pulling it close to the desk. "But dude I have been doing this since I was 16 so I at least make a little more then you." Fabio pushed a few buttons booting up the trusted Dell before doing the same on Kavi's desktop. "I can give you the tour once we go on break, its even better on the roof." He made sure the other understood how to use his pass code to enter the program. Once he could see that Kavi easily got the hang on things he pulled out a pair of headphones and his mp3 player and dove into the world of copying documents.
