The calm was something that Mizuki didnt like. No it told him that something was up. All that morning he seemed to be on edge as he went about the work that needed to be done. Everything seemed to be okay until the scouting group was late. That right there told him that something was wrong. Word traveled fast within the smaller camp. Everyone being on edge until the word of the scout dying at the fright gate reached ears then panic set in.

It was just enough time to get the women and childern headed for the escape caves. The tunnels would take them far out to an open cavern that would lead to the outside. They had made sure to keep something like that.

At the current moment Mizuki was running about grabbing things. His staff was first. Panic was setting in as he turned to Neimi and the kids "Go now head for the caves!" Mizuki said to her as they rushed out of the house though this was when two kids began to scream and beg to go with them. Mizuki looked to Thalion before them "You cant...not this time" Mizuki said "You need to go with your aunty" He said kissing each child on the head "Remember that your papa and daddy love you both very much" He said with a sad smile as an explosion rang out from the front of the cave.

"Go Neimi" Mizuki said going to leave before he paused "Keep them safe" He said to her and she gave a safe smile "Only until you two return" She said holding the hands of the two kids before she turned and began to run. Mizuki watched for a moment before he shook his head and turned to Thalion. Moving he kissed the male "Dont you die on me" He said with a growl before he moved and ran off.

There was plans that were made and Mizuki intended to keep those plans. He needed to get to his advantage point so he could do the most damage. Mizuki knew Thalion would be more on the front lines then anything. It scared him the thought of how close he would be to the main battle though at the same time he knew there was no other way that the male would have it. "Be safe Thalion..." Mizuki said to himself as he ran with his staff in hand.

After Neimi and the children were gone and Mizuki kissed him and say don't die he smirked a little holding the other close for the brief moment they had. "Not planing on it." No one in this battle was going to get that satisfaction that was certain. He knew where he needed to go to and that he knew weighed on Mizuki's mind heavily. Sure he could cast spells but he was still one of the stronger melee fighters they had and it was a waste to put him anywhere else.

After they parted ways he breathed out a little praying they both made it through this. The final battle it seemed. Reports of the king himself being dressed for battle and present also had gotten around. Yes this would be the final battle. Either they king fell or the resistance did. They were still vastly out numbered but each body able to fight was more they ready to test such odds against them.

The battle started or well blew into full effect shortly after he and Mizuki parted ways. Fighters on both sides already fallen. They had the advantage of knowing the layout of this area better and having traps set up in case of a attack. Traps helped thin numbers or that was their purposes. Though he was too busy giving a few final orders to worry if the traps were finished in time or not.

Raden wasn't with Neimi, the girl had protested to the idea of him staying behind to fight but he was a better fighter then she was as she started to suggest that she could fight. They needed ranged attackers, they had a small number of mages as it was, any other ranged attacks were welcome.

Though there might have been a few things the King was not counting on, the will of these so called doomed fighters. That and the fact there was a nord and a drow fighting in the same area. Felix was a force to be dealt with on his own due to brute strength, adding Thalion in as well almost made it unfair. Not to mention by this time Needren and Thalion had settled a few differences.. maybe only long enough to agree to fight along side but still.

To say the least the fight dragged on and the numbers dwindled on both sides. Granted the hits were more largely seen on the Resistance side due to their already lacking numbers but none the less they kept fighting. By this time the King's forces had finally gotten into the camp, the front lines could only hold back so many and it was probably a blessing they even had a front line to speak of still.

Thalion knew right away when any of the troop shad made it far enough for the mages to have to deal with them. Each spell Mizuki used took a bit of his own energy with it. Though he knew the same went for him fighting out here as well. Thats why they had trained each day and worked on ways to get the most out of this link while still being able to fight.

So far there was no sign of the side King, though there were so many fighters who knew where he was even. Either way there was little time to focus on this as there was plenty other things to worry about. Like staying alive and when there would ever be a end to the seemingly endless sea of soldiers the King seemed to have at his disposal. Having to fall back a little hardly helped anything. To avoid death when they could they tried to retreat any of their own wounded to areas where some healers were located.

Though even that got to be risky as the healers were reported to fall back to where the escape tunnels were and to wait there. Things were hardly looking good at the moment and there seemed to be little the group could do to turn the tides. It felt like as one enemy solider fell five more took his place. They needed to target any generals there were and the King himself if he could be found. Taking out the leadership would send the rest of the troops into a panic and disarray. OR that was what normally happened so if they had any luck it would cease most if not all of the fighting.

Archers had some of the higher ground to get the best use of their arrows. This was where Raden was, one of the perches though he had no idea where Thalion or Felix or anyone else was in all of this mess. He knew Neimi had taken the two kids and that is why the sight he saw confused him a little. He swore the little kid he just saw was Nytria. Glancing a little he jumped to one of the lower platforms were some of the mages were located before finding Mizuki. There had been a small break in waves of soldiers for the moment. He guessed the front lines regained some ground somehow.

"Mizuki!" He called out before running over to him and pointing out the kid on the ground who seemed to be in a bit of a panic at the moment. Probably scared from everything going on around him. They were lucky that the child seemed to go unnoticed for the time being. "Isn't that?" Raden asked before noticing a small ground of enemy soldiers growing near the boy. Though about this same time more enemy soldiers were coming from the other side as well.

He left Mizuki saying that he needed to get down there. Raden was a good shot considering his age compared to most of the experienced archers. With that he said that he'd cover Mizuki as long as he could. Though that might be only a few moments, just long enough for the other to get to the ground and towards the scared child. By this time they were sure who it was, the child was frozen almost along side of the house. How he had gotten away from Neimi one could only guess.

Neimi had noticed that Nytria was missing. His sister was panicking a little as she looked up at Neimi who knelt down to her. "Nytria will be fine. I'm sure of it." The girl protested that they had to go get him and that he was scared. "We can't .. I know I want to go find him as well but we can't." She looked down lowering her head before hugging the girl tight as she said a prayer in her mind that the boy was with one of them.. any of them just anyone that was keeping him safe. She didn't know when he had run off and gotten away from her and she'd never forgive herself if something happened.

Mizuki stood there on his perch as he took out men left and right. Everyone had different placements that they were supposed to be at to ensure the mass damage. It had been something that they made sure to touch on and cover. After all there was only a limited amount of long range attackers and they needed to keep all of them that they could. So that was why he was perched over looking the main battle with archers and mages around him doing just that.

Mizuki was currently standing there taking out another small group of men. Thalion and himself had spent the last weeks before the battle training the link they shared. It wouldnt be good to go into a battle and drain each other of power before the battle even started. No it was a main thing the couple worried over more so with Mizuki being a mage. That right there told them that energy was an issue.

Growling Mizuki took out some more men. It was never ending as he looked over the righting people before him. All of them fought and died for a cuase. It was heartening to see the fight before him. Taking out another man that seemed to get to close to the group for his liking he paused as he heard his name "MIZUKI!" What on earth...he thought as he saw Raden jump down from a perch and head his way.

"What on earth-" Though his words were cut off as Raden stopped and pointed down into the fighting men below "Isent that..." he heard as he fallowed the pointing finger of the male. As soon as his eyes stopped on the young boy his heart fell. How the hell did he get away from Neimi! "Oh dear lord.." He said looking to the child almost hug himself to the wall.

"Raden cover me!" He yelled as the male jumped to a different perch. Mizuki didnt think twice as he jumped down from where he was with his staff in hand. Sliding down the wall he landed on another perch before he took out a few men and continued along his way. Mizuki never lost the child from his sight. No he couldnt afford to.

As he got closer he screamed the childs name "Nytria!" He shouted as he took out a blade from his robes before driving it through the neck of another male. Running he dropped the small dagger to the ground "PAPA!!" He heard as he reached the smile child. It was not long before small pale arms rapped around his neck shaking as the small child cried.

"I told you to stay with your auntie!" Mizuki said picking the small child up as he turned just in time to see a guard about to attack them fall with an arrow sticking out of his neck. Mizuki growled as he held the child to his chest. "Nytria you need to do your papa something" Mizuki said as he panted dodging an attack only to kill the male. "You need to promise me that no matter what you hear you will not open those eyes!" He said as he jumped back from another males sword before the spell was cast.

This dance played on and on. Mizuki dodging and fighting holding a young crying child to his chest. Mizuki needed to get the young male to a safe place. Some where he would be able to watch over the young male and still fight. Though that seemed to be something that rested on the back of his mind as he hissed low in pain. His thoughts then came back to the main battle as he thrusted his staff outwards at the male before him. How could he of been so stupid! He couldnt let thoughts get to him.

After forcing the male back he grunted in pain as the sword the male had had left his shoulder with a little popping noise. Dont think on the pain keep moving! Mizuki thought to himself as he gave another growl taking out another male. Mizuki knew he was doomed the moment the first hit took place. He should of been paying more attention to what was going on around him at the time.

Raden could only cover him so much as protected the small child in his arms. Mizuki knew this and he accepted it. Dodging the blades that came towards him could only go so far and after the first hit things began to go down hill. One after an other gashes and wounds came one by one. Slowly more red on his robes began to show from the different cuts and wounds all over his body.

Mizuki had a plan in his head. He would protect his child to the ends of the earth and he knew that. So every time a hit came he couldnt avoid he turned and took it protecting the child in the process. Because of this his energy began to dwindle down to nothing. From the fact of protecting the small life as well as casting spells it was a little shock to him that he still was able to stand.

Though that thought died as the new hit landed. Okay, that one hurt. Mizuki thought as he coughed a little blood up the crimson dribbeling down his chin a little as he growled. Moving he hissed loudly as he removed the dagger from his side. Moving a couple more steps he fell to a knee panting as he held the child within his arms sheilding him from the images before them.

"Nytria..." Mizuki said in pants as he knelt there. His staff was up before them as Mizuki looked around infront of him. Mizuki had managed to move or rather fight his way to the back of the camp. Now he was there kneeling down with a child in his arms and his back to a wall. Mizuki thought it to be the safest place. This way he could see those coming and not having to worry about anyone coming from behind was a bonus.

Felling the small child shake in his arms Mizuki hugged the small body to him tight "Nytria..." Mizuki said in pants as he kissed the pale head below his chin leaving a stain of blood in the white hair "Always remember that your...you papa loves you" He said in a pained whisper. Mizuki could tell that he was almost finished. The lack of energy was one thing but now adding the lack of blood to things....he was a mess.

Cuts and bruises covered pale skin where armor didnt. Ripped robes and blood matched the image for anyone to see. His hair was half undone and coloring red by the moment. Stab wounds were the main thing he disliked at the moment. One to the shoulder, another to the side and a few on his arms and legs were all battle scars from protecting the child.

At his words though Nytria looked to him. Maroon sad tear filled eyes gazed into his own lavender "Papa...." He said in a pained whisper and Mizuki couldnt help but give a soft smile. Time seemed to stop there as he gazed at those sad eyes and the child spoke "Papa...dont leave me" He heard and it broke his heart. Leaning in he kissed a forhead. Even though he knew the next words were a lie the still came out "Your papa will..." Though he paused a moment as he took a deep breath "...will never leave you" He said in an almost week voice.

Mizukis vision was starting to blur around the edges. Casting another spell he watched the small group of men before him fall though as they did his vision went black for a moment as he blanked. Shaking his head his arm around Nytria tightened as he knelt there with his staff. No this couldnt be happening though Mizuki knew that it was. That fact even more clear to him as he heard the young child before him say his name in tears. Even though he wanted to reply he couldnt.

As the last spell he cast fell his body was done. Even though he stayed where he was curled up around the young child with his eyes half open Mizuki was out cold to the world. He couldnt do anything as the three men seemed to approach the two of them. So Mizuki didnt notice that the young body pressed into his stopped its crying. Nor did he notice the marroon eyes turn bright red.

Right away Thalion knew something was wrong. A sudden flood of emotions told him that and they were from Mizuki. A dread and fear with a hint of anger at the same time. Maybe panic was mixed in there he wasn't allowed enough time to pause and think about what was going on or what caused such a ranged mix of emotions from the other as he barely managed to block a on coming blade. "Damn it-" He hissed before forcing the owner of the blade back and quickly following the block with another strike as the fighter doubled over from the gash to to his middle before Needren finished the solider off.

He gave Thalion a odd look as he had seemed to pause though shaking his head a little he readied another attack taking out a few more soldiers before the effects of Mizuki's struggle really started to settle in. It was known to their little group they commonly found themselves in that Mizuki and Thalion were linked. Energy and any wounds seemed to be the main extent of it, as well as emotions. Though Wounds were more noticed if Mizuki got them then if Thalion did it seemed and energy use was reversed. If Thalion used spells the link made more notice of it then if Mizuki did unless it was a larger spell.

The moment he started feeling pain and the sudden drain of energy at a almost rapid rate he knew there was something very wrong. That and the emotions were getting weaker like whatever fight Mizuki had going on he was losing. He couldn't just run off and go after the other though. He needed to trust that he was ok or that others were near by or something. This was a short lived fight as things dragged on.

Sure he had gotten a few cuts and small gashes that was expected being in the heat of the battle. Though the sudden pain from whatever Mizuki was fighting caused a rather nice hit to be landed against his side and another on the side of his leg shortly after. Faltering a little he winced and quickly thrust a sword through the chest of his attacker before stepping back a little. Felix noticing this. "Whats wrong?" The man asked before he noticed just how bad of shape Thalion was even in, those two wounds were hardly the cause of it.

Lack of energy and he felt like he was in pain all over as he panted and cringed a little. "I need.. something is wrong.." He forced out wincing again before taking another step back trying to pull himself together. They had never tested the link to its extent but it seemed to be showing its powers now. Felix told him to go before he got himself killed. He hated retreating from the fight but whatever was going on with Mizuki was making it impossible to fight not like this.

Even as he turned and left trying to find Mizuki and ignoring the fact that his leg screamed as he ran. He had no idea where to look. A good start was where the mages were located though he didn't see him there. This was when a scream was heard not too far off. The found of something burning and a scream, he wasn't sure if it was Mizuki or not but he needed to take the risk as he turned the corner and met a soldier head on. Still having both blades drawn as he forced one through the enemies middle before pulling it back and taking the hilt of the other and slamming it against the man's head causing him to fall to the ground. He'd die from the wound soon enough.

Though there were a few more fighters around and they seemed to have something cornered.. a odd glow around a small figure though that was when his heart nearly stopped. Mizuki was on the ground covered in blood and explaining why he was so damned beat himself. The figure... it was Nytria! One of the soldiers tried to get close to the boy as he growled and a bluish flame lashed out at the man catching him on fire and burning him until he stopped moving.

The body had a strange burn though it almost looked like frost bite mixed with the effects of a fire burn. He could question that later as he forced himself to move forward getting the attention of the last two fighters and taking care of them with swift movements. Even wounded he wasn't going to fall.. not when he had found Mizuki and the cause of the panic earlier. Panting he stood there a moment before stabbing a blade into the ground, the other still in a body of a fallen fighter.

The red eyes, the aura everything he knew what had happened. Nytria seemed to have more in common with him then he ever wanted for the child. This was the last thing he had wanted as he shook his head a little. Walking finally with a slight limp having ignored the gash on his leg too long and forcing it to move all this time he approached the child speaking calmly to him.

There was a few things that could make this end, either he run out of energy or the child could calm down. Being as young as Nytria was Thalion was hopeful that the child could be calmed instead of the other route. "Nytria ... you're safe now.. you know who I am." He started before the boy seemed to hesitate a little still keeping his guard up and staying between whoever was coming towards him and where Mizuki was.

This was when he risked it, he knew the fire that Nytria had was not normal and odds were this wouldn't be the most pleasant thing on top of any other wounds but it needed to be done. Taking a final few steps towards Nytria he finally dropped to his knees and pulled the child close and hugged him there. Trying to calm him still keeping as relaxed of a tone as he could, granted he found out right away what the fire was mixed with. Ice.. yep that was his luck wasn't it?

"Shh.. Nytria you're safe now, Papa is safe too I promise.." He started before feeling that the power seemed to shift a little and die down before he felt a suddenly shaking child quiver against him with a slight hiccup. "daddy.." the voice started before breaking and going back to crying again. "You're alright.. I'm here" Granted he was in rough shape but he was there.

After a moment he shifted Nytria so he could carry him on the side that the leg was wounded on. Seeing as he had to get Mizuki out of here as well it was hardly a good idea to put the heavier weight on the bad leg. Oh did he regret this choice of actions soon after doing them as he hissed at the strain on both his leg and the gash on his side. He was lucky that they didn't share wounds on the level that they would both have open ones or he'd add a shoulder would and a few others to this mix.

Getting a bit further from the battle he managed to find a spot near the back wall as he leaned against it panting heavily. "Heh... Nytria .. do daddy a favor.. " He started as the child looked at him after being set down. "I need you to help with papa. We need to get him to the healers." He said pointing towards the caves that they planned for escaping.

The battle was hardly going to be won in a day and he knew that so they had little pockets along the route for rest and for the healers to remain in for safety. Some of their own fighters would fall back to them to rest before going back out. Getting healed as much as possible or resting as much as they could to regain energy. It was a decent system and it seemed to be fairing them well.

None the less Nytria was still shaking but agreed to try. It wasn't much help but it was something. Really it wasn't any help as far as carrying Mizuki went but it did help in the fact he didn't have to carry Nytria as he held onto Mizuki's currently limp hand. It took them a while but they did manage to get to where the healers were and that alone was good enough. Neimi wasn't there she had stayed where she was told to stay. That was a good thing, that meant the other was still with her.

Right away a few of the clerics started to tend to Mizuki. For now he told them to just worry about Mizuki, any wounds he had he'd worry about later aside from wrapping the larger gashes. There was no point in wasting their energy if they couldn't heal Mizuki enough. Nytria stayed with Thalion off to the side a little but still in view of Mizuki where they had laid him and started mending whatever could be mended.

Nytria panicked a little as Thalion had closed his eyes and the young boy nearly started crying again with probably a fear that he'd end up like papa. Thalion smiled a little weakly at the worry before putting a hand on the boy's head. "Shh... I'll wake back up.. I'm just tired. everything will be fine I promise." He said before moving a little and getting Nytria to sit in his lap so he would calm down as he kept a arm around him. He hoped he was right about that, everything will be fine.

Mizuki had stayed where he was around the small child until Nytria moved. The second the child was out of his arms Mizuki fell forward. The amount of blood lost and the stress of the situation made his mind shut down. He didnt notice anything that had taken place after that moment. Nothing about red eyes and a power of his child. Not even being moved from where he was or the struggle to move him. Everything was black to him.

It was not until his major wounds were in the process of healing as well as being covered and treated did his mind even think of stirring. No the final draw was the energy needed to draw his mind back from the darkness.

From one moment to the next his mind was blank then clear. Sitting up right Mizuki awoke with a gasp as his body took over. As far as he knew the last moment he remembered was covering and protecting his child from the soilders that invaded. So as he woke it was a natural thing for his body to cast the spell for protection. Ice covered bandaged hands as they curled up into fists before him.

As he panted deeply Mizuki sat there with his eyes were wide "...nytria..." He said in a pained whisper as the last thing he knew of was pain and the fear of loosing his child. Even though he was up right with eyes wide they were dull. Darker in color then they should be as his mind played images before his eyes as he sat there with his hands clenched in the sheets starting to freeze them as they sat in his lap.

However it lasted for a short moment before his eyes dulled more before they rolled into the back of his head as he fell backwards once more in a heap that fell to the side.

Due to space and having to deal with the space they could beds were something that was not a thing. No instead bed rolls littered one side of the cavern as cots covered the other for the more serious cases. That was where Mizuki rested. Now hanging half to the side of the bed his breathing evened out once more as his fists unclenched and unfroze as the energy he had left as soon as it came.

The sudden gasp was plenty to wake Thalion or at least cause him to open his eyes. Though what really did it was the sudden return of emotions from Mizuki's mind reconnecting to the world around him that he had to fight for something. Taking a guess he never noticed he had been moved or where he was at all. Even in his current state the other seemed to have enough energy to freeze over his hands and some of the sheet he was holding onto absentmindedly.

Though the moment of awareness seemed to be short lived as Mizuki soon fell back over and seemingly back into a sleep. The sudden awkward landing Mizuki did back onto the bed, well half onto the bed made Thalion cringe a little though for now he didn't move. He had started to till he realized that Nytria was asleep in his lap still. Well it was good the child was able to sleep really. Even if at the moment he seemed to have a death grip on his shirt like Thalion was going to vanish on him if he let go.

With that he tried to settle back into getting what little rest he could still. But at the least that was a good sign that Mizuki was going to be alright, maybe once he was able to move he'd bother with getting the wounds properly treated instead of just having they stopped from bleeding like they were.

One of the clerics had come along at the sudden noise from where Mizuki was and managed to right him in the bed again. It was probably a few hours after that, probably more seeing as he was hardly keeping track of time at the moment, before Thalion felt Nytria start to move a bit. The child whined a little in his half awakened state before grabbing onto the shirt he still clutched in his hands tighter.

This was when Thalion finally stood, hissing all the same from forcing that leg to move yeah that needed to be taken care of. Walking over to where Mizuki was still asleep on the bed he sat Nytria on the edge of it. "Now you stay here, just be mindful of where your papa is still recovering.." Nytria nodded a little, the child probably was hungry by now so that was his main purpose for sitting him there. Also if Mizuki woke again the last thing he needed was for the other to waste a ton of energy on freezing this place over when Nytria was perfectly fine.

With that being said there wasn't much food supply here, they were in the process of moving some more but for now this was plenty to help settle the boys nerves a bit more and probably make him go back to sleep after all of this. It seemed that just that happened, soon after the child was done eating he curled up next to Mizuki muttering a sorry from the sounds of it under his breath while holding onto Mizuki's arm.

After that was settled was when he bothered worrying about the two major wounds he still had. They took little to no time to be mended or at least enough to be able to go back out and fight. Granted he couldn't due to it being a risk to Mizuki if he did. With the other out he hardly had the energy to fight. The only thing he could do was wait for now.

To save a bit of space he ended up sitting with his back to the wall next to the cot Mizuki was on. Nytria was still asleep and Mizuki was still resting with even breaths for the moment and he was far enough out of the way that the healers didn't have to work around him for anything. Now his only choice was to try and rest more.

The best option was to rest as much as possible and maybe rejoin the fight afterwards. He hated to think how many they had lost or were going to lose before this was all over with. Though there seemed to be no end in sight and that meant this could drag on for a few days... but if they won, this ... all of this would be over.

It had taken Mizuki a fair amount of time before he stirred again. The clerics were good for one thing when it came down to everything. They helped replenish his energy as he slept. The more he laid there the better the out come would be and he was aware of that.

It seemed like forever to Mizuki as his mind finally let its hold go and he came to. He was aware of the sudden change for at the moment his head hurt like a bitch. Groaning a little he was going to move his arm to rub his head but something prevented its movement. Opening his eyes slowly he laid there and looked to the roof above him. Carved rock met his gaze as he laid there. Though it was the feeling at his arm that made him turn his head.

As he did those eyes turned soft as he saw Nytria hugging his bandaged arm. Moving his other arm Mizuki brushed back white crimson flecked bangs from the males forehead. This caused Maroon eyes to open and blink softly before that little head turned up and looked at him. "...pa...pa...?" A little tired voice asked and Mizuki smiled sadly down at the little one "My brave boy..." He spoke though didnt have a moment to continue as those little arms were around his neck.

Mizuki gave a hiss of pain as some spots that were tender were touched but he didnt complain as he rapped sore arms around the little boy. "By the gods..." Mizuki said as he closed his arms and hugged the little male to him. Mizuki was sure the moment he saw the little one out on that field that he was good as dead. At that moment was when his heat had sunk. Though right now he was glad the young child was alright. So if that was the case...how did they get here?

Though that question was answered with the sound to his left. A hiss then a dip on the cot made him open his eyes. As he did they were met with the ember of Thalion as the other looked at him "Thalion..." Mizuki said in a sad whisper as his arms tightened around the crying little boy "I thought I was going to loose him..." He said sadly as his eyes brimmed with tears. Turning his head he kissed Nytria on the head with soft words before he looked back to Thalion.

There he just gazed at the male before he moved his hand and placed it on Thalions leg before the male reached out and rapped a dark hand around his. "I told you..." He said lightly giving a little hiss and Nytria shifted "...with you I didnt have to worry..." He said with a smile to him "I love you....Thank you" He said with a pained face. Mizuki knew that the male had saved him. Once again he was rescued by Thalion. Mizuki half wondered if a day would come that he would rescue the male before him...though right now all he cared about was that he was alive...all three of them were.

He was pretty sure at least half a day had passed. It was driving him nuts in a way to have to just stay there. The only thing that was sort of reassuring was that there weren't that many wounded coming back. That meant one of two things they were fairing well or they were dying. He sighed at the second thought but that's when a little bit of movement was heard.

Nytria spoke a little still sounding a little before he heard the second voice. Well it seemed Mizuki was finally awake as he looked up just in time to watch Nytria all but jump and hug Mizuki. He had to smile a little at the sight, the poor child thought that he was going to lose papa. They were both far too young to try to explain that if they lost one they would lose both...

After a moment Mizuki seemed to finally look around a little before figuring out who had dragged them here. Though the comment made Thalion's ear go back a little. "I know... I had no idea what was going on when you started to panic not till I found you both." No the fact that Nytria was here was the last thing on his mind. The kid was far too much like himself in ways, he knew better then to think he'd stay with Neimi from being told.

Mizuki's next comment he smirked at shaking his head. "Have to be good for something right?" Though he knew he was good for a few things. "Almost wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get you both here.. You are rather heavy to carry when working with a wounded leg and side." Being followed by a weak laugh. Leaving out the part both wounds were from Mizuki draining the energy and getting wounded himself.

"There is something else though..." He started while he had Mizuki's attention. "About Nytria." He started before he explained what he saw when he got to him. "You might want to start working with him with magic soon, when I found you two there were still soldiers around and he was standing there with a small aura and red eyes." He didn't have to say much more. The eyes said enough and then he explained that the child must have killed at least two or three men before he had gotten there even.

Mizuki frowned and hugged the little boy closer to him as Thalion explained what had happened and how he was found. Mizuki growled a little "Then when all of this is done...he should be the right age to start training." Mizuki said though he sighed a little "Even though I know it needs to happen....I dont want it to" He said with a little shake of his head "Training for magic at a young age is hard..." Mizuki said with a sigh "Not to mention from the sounds of things its going tobe an interesting challange" He said with a sigh.

Frost fire was rare...very rare so not many knew how to train it. So the process was going to be a long one. This was when Mizuki looked to Thalion and the small smile he had fated at the look on his face. Raising a bandaged hand he touched Thalions face forcing the male to look at him "He truely is your son do you know that?" Mizuki said with a smile as he rubbed his thumb there. "I will find that cure Thalion..." He said lightly "The gods will not take you or him from me" He said with a growl.

After that moment the three of them stayed close. Even as clerics came and went. Though the first trip was longer for them as Mizuki made them heal Thalion. It was his argument that he was well enough though if the male continued what would be the good of it? No after that Mizuki forced Thalion to rest proper with the promise that everything was okay. He knew the sleep was an uneasy one but it was a needed one.

After Thalion and Mizuki awoke the next time the two of them took Nytria to Neimi and the female almost cried as she saw the bandaged forms of the two males "Dont..." Mizuki paused and glared at Neimi "And I mean DONT...let him out of your sight" He said with a growl before he turned on his heel and left. Mizuki had a right to be angry at the female. If Nytria had died while under her care...Mizuki didnt know if he could forgive her. So for now anger was his answer. Even as Thalion stayed behind a moment he walked away.

It was not long before his armor was back on and his staff was in hand as he turned and looked to Thalion. "This time..." Mizuki said taking a step towards the male "Dont leave my side..." Mizuki said with a little worried smile and sigh before he leaned in and gave Thalion a kiss. Mizuki wanted the male close. After the close call he wanted nothing more then to have Thalion beside him.

"I know its not easy... " He said looking away for a moment as he sighed. "It's better to try at least or he'll end up in a worse state then I'm in when he's older." It was true, he had managed this far and long by avoiding battles and keeping his temper somewhat under control. For a child that was easier said then done and when he was a mere child he was in a whole different setting altogether.

Though this was when he looked back to Mizuki as the other spoke. "Yeah... well that was the last thing I wanted either of them to have." No he would have rather have found out they had none of his abilities then to have some and be stuck with something that could kill them. "We have a cure... more of if it works is the question." His ears went back a little before looking towards the child still clinging to Mizuki.

"Even if it doesn't work we'll figure something out. You are not going to lose either of us.." Though he hoped the method he was told took care of it. It was a curse after all even if Mizuki didn't think curses and hexes were real this certainly was. If what he was told worked they might not even have to find a curse for the children, or child. They had no idea if the boys sister had the same curse or not.

After begin forced to rest and let the clerics do their job properly was when they headed out to ease Neimi's worries. Neimi cried and knew it was her fault. Well it was and wasn't seeing as Nytria was known to vanish like that without warning. Thalion's son indeed... Though the boy probably wouldn't run off anymore for a while anyway.

Even as Mizuki walked away Neimi was still very upset as she hugged the child close to her and his sister stood there giving a slight glare at her brother knowing whos fault this was. He only stayed behind to tell her Mizuki would get over it. Never the less he left soon after to catch up to Mizuki. There was still a fight to be won.. and it wouldn't be until the king was dead.

It took either of them little time to be prepared to go back out. Though they could still use some rest and some wounds were still in the healing process there was little they could do. "So it is." He said ever so casually like this was no big deal, he was just as worried as Mizuki was. They could still lose this fight.

Either way they set out again after he agreed to not leave Mizuki's side. Probably for the best really, with them both near one another they were almost unstoppable. Almost being as they still should be resting and they had to watch how much energy either side used and if they got hit or not. Though Mizuki getting hit with Thalion there was probably not very likely.

Things didn't seem as dire as they did the day before. With the resistance not backing down moral of the king's troops seemed to waver. Though that's when word finally was up that the king was sighted. The issue was getting to him and having energy to deal with him. They were trying to make a plan to do just that. The best idea was to try to avoid most of the enemy troops if possible and to get behind them... risky but if it ended this then by all means. "Well... besides not dying I think this sounds easy enough." Though he knew that was a lie, still.

Mizuki stood there lightly panting as he stood beside Thalion. Turning his head as the male spoke he gave a nod "Yes...it does..." Mizuki said "But only if you stick to the one rule" He said with a smile. "Besides....I mean whats the worst that could happen?" He asked with a tilt of his head though he didnt get any more time to think on it as a noise drew his attention behind them and Mizuki had just enough to shove Thalion to the side.

Right where the two of them stood sat scortched ground. That was wierd it sounded like a crackle of lightening. Turning Mizuki stopped dead in his tracks at the male he saw. It was a human male that was older in his fifties. Hair hair covered his face and head as armor did the rest of his body. Holding a sword in one hand his other hand twitched at his side as little electrical currents ran between fingers.

"Well well well..." The king said as he stood there looking at the two of them "If it isent the traitor and his...pet" The king said though this made Misuki growl "That is no PET..." He said like the word was fire on his tongue "That is my husband and mate for life" He growled to him as he took a step closer towards the king.

This made the king smile and raise an eyebrow "Really now..." He said before looking to Thalion. This was when the face of the king changed "Your that rebel scum..." He said. Looking to Mizuki he growled a little "Did you not give me a report saying the male was dead?...after the first time I ordered you to kill him..." Mizuki growled a little at that.

Yes he had given the king what he wanted with the news of Thalions death. It had happened back since the first time he saw the male in the forest many moons ago. "Clearly we see how well I fallowed orders" Mizuki said with a smile as he held his staff in hand tightly. "Clearly..." The king said with a raised brow "Well...I will just have to do what you could not!" The king said before he charged with a casted spell in hand. And the fight was on.

"Heh just that one?" He half joked. Not dying was a feat on its own and he knew it but they couldn't afford to lose. After coming this far to just lose... no they would win and for once the lands could try to work on peace. For once maybe they could act like they have a normal life and not have to worry about everyday that came to pass. Though the joke was short lived as Mizuki shoved him and ended up sparing both of them a direct hit from a spell that was cast behind them.

Well there was no mistaking who this human was. Rumors seemed to be true then... Though for the moment he listened to the slight exchange between Mizuki and the human lord. Mizuki's outburst was hardly anything new. Most did not get away with saying anything less of the two when it came to who they were to one another. No it was the next comment that made Thalion almost smirk a little.

"Well... thats a little harsh." He had been called a number of things in his life but that was one of the harsher ones, though he assumed there was reasoning behind such words. That was soon explained as the king went on. Hrm.. so Mizuki lied then, he had been told to kill him some time ago and had given word that he had. That was interesting to him at least. Though the mention of Mizuki not following orders was amusing all the same. It was true Mizuki did not take orders well.

This was when the King stated he would do the job. "Tsk you're welcome to try." He hissed before meeting the King head on to prevent any close ranged combat with Mizuki. Though the charge forward also was so he could cancel out the spell the king was preparing in the process. Ah yes if Mizuki had carried his job out the King's forces would easily over run this place. There would be a number less fighters as well as methods for dealing with mages.

This hardly mattered now as he needed to focus to prevent the King from cast any spells and to make sure he didn't land any hits. For a older human he was skilled he'd give him that. Years played a large role at the moment. Even being a human he had far more experience in battle then Thalion did. Though he was still making a pest of himself and the king was busy dealing with Mizuki as well as the other was trying to attack from afar.

Though there were certain spells Thalion couldn't stop. Lightening was fast magic or some of it was. The instant spells were next to impossible to stop without knowing they would be cast. This was what got Mizuki a few times and in turn seemed to cause a bit of delay in Thalion's reaction process from the sudden shock of pain from the link they shared. He had tried everything to avoid tipping off that there was a link. Though after a few cheap hits the King seemed to take notice of it.

A larger spell was cast, still far too quick to do anything about it. Though it was different. It lashed out at Mizuki being similar in how it acted to a natural bolt strike. Though it forked shortly after hitting Thalion before he had time to notice it as the King was keeping him more then busy by now. That stung. More then stung really as he winced trying to force himself to block the strike he saw coming.

Though the forced or want to move hardly helped anything. The spell that hit had done its work to temporarily paralyze its targets. Both trying to recover and the spell had been too fast to avoid they were at a disadvantage for the moment. Though the moment the blade the King wielded did its damage was when the effect wore off. Not that it helped Thalion any as he couldn't get another block up in time to prevent a second hit. The first being a mere arm wound. The other, was a bit more serious as the king aimed for his middle, in all truth Thalion had the devil's luck that that blow didn't kill him. Heck probably more so that it had missed anything that would cause him to bleed out even after healing really.

None the less there wasn't much he could do at the moment with his main arm even from the shallow wound was hardly in shape to force a block and at the moment he was hardly standing after the second blow and the king flipped the blade around to slam the hilt into his chest and forcing Thalion to the ground. For the moment things hardly looked that good and he wasn't given the moment he needed to recover from this.

Mizuki stood his ground as the king charged towards them. Watching he flinched a little as the blades met though he was greatfull at that moment for the spell counter Thalion had. Because of the flinch Mizuki wouldnt of been on time with a spell to deflect the damage. Though Mizuki knew that wouldnt last for long and he was right as another spell was cast and he dodged a forked bolt of lightening.

Well that was a little close for his liking though that thought didnt rest with him long as he cast his own spell. Two could play at this game. Mizuki knew a wide range of spells and he was showing that now. Hitting the male with everything he knew though keeping his energy in check. He knew that if the king found out about the link that the two shared...there would be issues and bad issues.

Mizuki did his best to dodge all of the attacks the king sent his way though not everything could be avoided. The first hit that he took stopped his movements. A sharp tingle rang through his body as a harsh shiver raked his spine. Okay that was unpleasant though he didnt get a change to think anything else as another shock rang through his body fallowed by another. That was one reason why Mizuki hated air users. Lightening had a nasty habit of hitting once with a big one though the after shock is what brought you down.

Right now made that point as Mizuki panted and hissed as his knees wobbled. "Shit..." Mizuki cursed though that ended as another spell was cast. Though this was when his eyes widened. There was no way he was going to avoid that on time. Bracing himself he took the hit dead on as he yelled out a little in pain. Okay he was not expecting that. Though he knew what was to come and trying to move he was right.

Hissing he couldnt do anything as he watched the bolt fork and with Thaliona back towards it he didnt notice until it hit him right in the back. The pain from the two of them combined was starting to get to Mizuki as his breathing became harsher. This was not good! Mizuki began to will his body to move. He needed to move to do something anything!

Watching he couldnt do anything as the pain flashed through his arm as he watched the king slice at Thalion. Then the renching pain in his gut as the blade cut through the males side. Shit no...this was not good. "Thalion..." Mizuki said in a pained whisper as the male knelt there infront of the king. Hissing he flinched as he couldnt do anything but watch as the hilt of the blade met with Thalions chest forcing the barely standing male to the ground.

Move damn it! Mizuki cursed his body as he did everything he could to get his body to move even an inch. Thalion was going to die and all he could do was stand there and watch! NO! Mizuki would not accept that! There was a way and he knew he was going to regret this but it was something he had to do! Casting his spell he was in motion running towards the king who had his sword high in the air.

Running Mizuki's spell took affect as he reached down and grabbed one of the males double blades. Making in front of Thalion just in time he hissed out his pain. Seemed the king saw him coming. So now instead of a blade gash to the shoulder the king stabbed out and hit its target. His target being Mizukis shoulder as the long blade slid right through the hilt, the blade sticking out the back dripping with blood.

Mizuki smiled though as the smile the king had began to fade slowly. A small trickle of blood dripping past his lips to drizzle down a chin. You see unlucky for the king Mizuki also stabbed out though he had a plan. He angeled his blade through the side of the males armor under his arm. "You...have been on my shit list the moment you became king" Mizuki hissed at him as he twisted the blade a little. Listening to the king growl he continued.

"I knew from the moment I saw you I would kill you" He said shoving the blade in deeper into the males side smirking at the grunt of pain as he coughed some blood up. "Then you threaten what I love" He said in a hiss "You try and kill all that I have ever cared about..." He said lightly before he moved in closer to him "I am so happy that the first life to be taken by these hands was yours..." He said as he jammed the blade in all the way.

Watching the kings eyes widen he didnt give the male a chance to think anything as removed the same blade and stabbed it deep into his side again. Mizuki could feel the warm blood ooze over his hand as he panted. Standing there he felt the king begin to sink in his spot. As he fell to his knees Mizuki took a small step back before he lifted his leg and kicked the dead man over.

Mizuki stood there panting as his knees wobbled. As soon as the king fell the fighting masses around them began to slow. Then the sound he wanted to hear rang out over the groups "THE KING IS DEAD!" Mizuki gave a little smile at that before he turned on a shakey leg. Looking to Thalion he moved to take a step though the moment he did he was down on his knees hissing as the blade still in his shoulder jerked a bit.

"Its...over" Mizuki said in a pant as he looked to Thalion. The two of them had different burns and cuts. Though the worst wounds were as clear as day. Reaching a hand out towards Thalion he groaned as he lost his balance. This was going to hurt was his thought as he headed for the ground. He knew that if he was to hit it the blade would be a bitch to remove. Though that thought ended as he never met the ground.

Feeling arms around him he gave a sigh. Though he was not expecting the person that he saw as he was placed on his knees again "Needren...?" He asked as he saw the worried face of the male before him. He had cuts and cruises though other then that he was perfectly fine. "Dear lord!" Needren hissed as he looked at the two of them "Killing the king dose not mean that you have to kill yourselves while you do it!" He said glaring at the two of them before shouting for clarics.

Now that the king was dead the men that were left began to flee as the resistance began to cheer. Against all odds they had won and they were alive. Though right now only one thing rested on his mind. With a hiss he pushed Needren back "What are-" Though the males words were cut off as Mizuki moved. It was a slow and painfull move but he made it to the place he wanted as he moved and almost fell into Thalion as the male now sat there panting.

Great he could move now but it wouldn't do hardly any good as a blade from this angle would be hard to block. Though the final strike he was expecting never came. Looking up there was Mizuki at odds with the king. Though it wasn't that simple as a block, no it seemed the King had seen Mizuki coming and managed to drive his blade though the other's shoulder. It was as far as the blade could go. Though Mizuki seemed to do a better hit then that.

No the King seemed to be done for as Mizuki spoke before pulling the blade out and forcing it back in. It didn't take long after that for the human ruler to fall and the final flecks of life he had seemed to fade. About the same time some of the near by troops seemed to take notice of their lord having fallen. Some fleeing the fight and others surrendering on the spot.

They really had won, well more of less. Granted the two of them looked like hell and he was about tired of being stabbed and cut open for one week. He didn't get to say anything to Mizuki saying it was over. He wanted to but he couldn't at the moment as he was busy keeping pressure on that gash to keep it from bleeding more then it had to.

Though he did notice Mizuki started to fall. Flinching enough to sit up he paused as he saw Needren. He never thought he'd be happy to see him that was certain. Though the smart remark caused him to smirk a little. Yeah they did kind of seem a bit worse for wear.

He stayed sitting up though it was more because he didn't feel like moving at the moment as he winced a little at the thought of how bad that sword still in Mizuki's shoulder was going to hurt the pair of them when it was removed. Though when Needren spoke was when he bothered looking to see what was wrong.

Though that was when he half caught Mizuki before he fell and caused them more pain then what this already did. "Heh.. have to make things difficult don't you?" He said wincing a little before he noticed some of the clerics finally getting over here. Moving a little he did something he was going to regret doing but it was better them letting the damned clerics do it and flinch at any slight hint of pain.

Moving a little he minded his own wound before grabbing the top of Mizuki's robe and pulling him a little close. "Forgive me for this.." He said not giving the other a chance to question what he meant as he kissed him and almost in the same action pulled the blade out and cringing at the sudden renewal of pain as he cursed at it.

"If either of us gets one more fucking wound so help me!" Hell he was lucky he hadn't lost control during any of this. He had tried to do everything to avoid doing so. Either way Mizuki seemed to fall forward a bit after the blade was removed and Thalion forced a hand to his shoulder to slow the bleeding as the Clerics quickly started doing their job.

Resting his head on Mizuki's shoulder for a moment as they both seemed content enough just being alive despite whatever pain they were in. "Thank you.." He whispered to the other. It was for saving him, though he had no doubts that Mizuki would. He'd have done the same if roles were reversed but none the less they were both still alive because of it.

"Heh.. have to make things difficult don't you?" he heard Thalion say and he couldnt help the little laugh that left his lips as he knelt there. Though he didnt get a moment to think anything else as his robes were grabbed and he was pulled a little closer to Thalion. "Forgive me for this..." He heard the male say as it was fallowed by a kiss. Why on earth would he need to forgive the male for that? Though the sudden pain in his shoulder told him why Thalion said his sorry.

The blade was removed from his shoulder in one swift movement. His eyes opened wide even as the male kissed him he couldnt help the gasp of pain that fallowed. As Thalion pulled back a little he hissed "Okay...that hurt" He said with a hiss as he hung his head a little with his eyes closed. Though this was when he heard Thalion speak and he couldnt help but agree. Yes if either one of them got anything close to a wound he was going to be pissed.

Though he didnt have much longer to think about that subject as the healers came to them. He could already hear Needren start to order some of them about but Mizuki didnt move from his spot. No it was not that he couldnt he probably could he just didnt want to. No feeling the closeness of the breathing male before him as well as the head on his shoulder made him a little content even though they were in pain.

After a few moments however he moved back and allowed the healers to get to Thalion. The males side needed attended to and he knew that. Not to mention his own shoulder should be treated. After a few moments of sitting there with the healers they were ordered back to the main healing cavern in the tunnels.

As they reached the tunnels the two were cleaned and healed as far as they could be healed. The rest was cleaned and rapped. Soon enough the two of them were more bandage them anything as they rested in two beds.

Turning his head Mizuki looked to Thalion. The male was half laying half sitting in the bed beside him due to his side. Dipping his ears back Mizuki knew that he was going to get into shit for this later but he didnt care. Hissing a little he ignored the males question as he moved and crawled into Thalions bed. Mindfull of the males side and his shoulder he moved so he curled into the good side of Thalion.

Hissing a little he moved and hugged what he could of the male. "I love you...and your welcome" Mizuki said with a little nuzzle into a bandaged dark chest under him "Im sorry it took so long though" He said lightly "I could see everything happening...though...I couldnt move" He said with a hiss. "I couldnt bare...to stand there and watch...my heart breaking as I did.." Mizuki said with a little shiver.

"You were getting hurt...infront of me..." Mizuki said lightly "And...I couldnt do anything about it" He said as he shivered a little his hand gripping the others hand as he cringed. Mizuki knew that he would of died along with the male if the king continued but he would watch him die first before he fallowed. That would of been his own personal hell.

At this rate the healers were going to think they had something for pain. Being the second time they were dragged in here. Ok the first time he dragged himself in here but details. Hardly the case though and if he had a say in things he didn't plan on fighting for a little while after things finished settling.

There was so much that had to be done here... wounded, rebuilding. Heck some might be able to return to what normal lives they had before this even. Though his thought of a normal life was short lived. Mizuki had to go back to the wood elf kingdom right? Plus they had other issues to deal with as well.

This was going to be a long night. He couldn't fully lay down and be comfortable due to his side. Even after the healers had done what they could it was still sore. Though his thoughts died off a moment hearing some movement from where Mizuki was at. "What are you-" He stopped asking it hearing a bit of a hiss from Mizuki, he was being stubborn again.

He didn't need to finish asking what the other was doing as Mizuki managed to move himself and get comfortable in the bed he had been placed on. Though the words made his ears drop a little. Not the first part but what followed. After Mizuki stopped Thalion shook his head a little before moving a free hand to rest on the other lightly.

"We're both alive, thats all that matters. You always say that you don't have to worry with me around.." He laughed a little at the thought. "I think that goes both ways." Really that thank you was for a lot of things. He breathed out a little though he winced in the process of it being reminded of everything that did hurt or was still healing from this time and the last.

"Get some sleep love.. you'll have to deal with the clerics once they find out you moved when you were told not to." He smirked a little at the thought but it was true. Not only that but there was a lot of work to do now.
