today I had my history class and we went to the local cemetry as we're doing an assignment regarding it. Anyways after looking around at the graves and headstones we found a stray cat. He's a chocolate burmese seal point cat very pretty but obviously a stray as he was super skinny and didn't have a collar, tags or any id on him at all.

I was the only one in the group of six that the cat let pet, so I felt connected to him. I told my partner about the kittycat and he's agreed if we see him tomorrow after our classes we'll bring the cat carrier and try and take him home with us. I'm so excited to be rescuing a kitty!! I just want to give him a chance, he likes people but isn't super friendly yet. I'm just really hoping that we'll see him tomorrow. I'll bring some food with us and hopefully that will entice him. I've got two cats already lol will soon maybe be the crazy cat lady with three kitties haha.

Ahaha. I've never been able to have a pet before, what with being allergic and all (I'm getting over it now, though), but that sounds a bit similar to my mom and her cat back when she was a kid.

That is so great you are contemplating rescuing a cat! I already have 2 cats so no more for me. However, I would just like to comment how very much I admire those who take in strays and keep them or help get them ready to find their new homes, that is really awesome. <3

My cat Marshmallow was a stray. My brother had found him as a kitten at the end of our street one day when he was walking home from the bus stop. He was all alone up under a car, and on the other side of the street was another cat, same color and coat type, that had been run over by a car. Our little Marshmallow has been with us ever since then, and now he's more of a jumbo marshmallow than the mini marshmallow he was when we took him in.

The dog I have now wasn't a stray, but she was being abused. Our neighbors would throw her off their porch (a 3-4 foot drop), not keep water out for her, leave her outside at night when the temps were dropping with no shelter or bedding for her to take cover in and she had worms really bad... My grandpa went to check the mail one day, and she followed him to our front porch from the mailbox, and when I saw how the neighbors were treating her, I begged my Pop to let me keep her... So we negotiated with them and wound up buying her for $75... She's such a sweetie too. She's a black lab mix and I absolutely adore her. I wish I could've brought her with me when I moved, but I know my Aunt's taking good care of her...

thanks all well we couldn't see him today I'm pretty sure he's still about but it was warmer today we're hoping to see him tomoorrow. It's meant to be cooler. I'm actually surprised my other half said it was ok to see if we could find him, I left some food out for the kitty where we found him the other day hopefully he likes it.

I got Washu at the local animal shelter when she was a kitten now she is a happy five year old kitty who love to be petted and played. As for strays we do have some come to our house and I feed them.
Oh if you do catch that cat take it to the vet ASAP just to be safe for you and you other cats as well.
