Was at a bar with some friends last night and a few folk I invited by from class, began talking with a fellow I met at orientation forever ago and for honest lack of anything else to talk about because the conversation was dragging, I asked if he believed in the paranormal or supernatural.. like ghosts.

He gave me a very serious look and replied that he didn't want to get into it.

And then proceeded to go into himself, launching into a huge monologue on how he sees dead people all the time, mostly at night when he's trying to sleep and how he has to yell at them to leave him alone so he can get rest.

It was not expected in the slightest and holy hell was I sorry I asked it wasn't until I convinced a pretty girl to sit down to distract him did he stop his tirade.

What would your reaction have been? Maybe I'm just an asshole skeptic.
Do you believe in ghosts and creepy things walking about?
Are you a skeptic like me?
Sometimes I get so caught up in a game or scary story/movie I slither through the house all terrified but I've never really had any experiences you could say for certain that were THE SPIRITS.

I'm an asshole skeptic too so I would probably have cut short the tirade.
No, I don't believe in ghosts or creepy things walking about, I don't believe in the paranormal. I do not see dead people. But I am very practical and extremely grounded.

Also, that does not mean they do not exist, I could be wrong and I admit that.

I believe in the Paranormal, Spirits, Demons, FAERIES, etc.

And boy, do I have horror stories. xD;

I do believe in ghosts, mostly because of the fact that during important times in my life I have either felt something, or seen something. And seeing a person who looks creepily like your dead father in the back stage area of your graduation... yeah... I just gave up on not believing years ago.

At some point I do think that people take it a bit too far, like stating that they are constantly bothered by spirits, but to each there own.

I'm not gonna get preachy, but, EVERYONE has a third eye, and everyone has the ability to speak, see, or hear them. Same thing applies to people who can see auras, and things of the like. You have to to open and receptive to it, but know how to control it you know? A lot of people don't. Or they do stupid things like mess with Ouiji boards =/

I'm not sure this would be called "believing in spirits" or anything, but I do have certain habits...

One of them concerns the stairwell in my college where a student committed suicide a few years ago. I didn't know the guy, but it's the one staircase that I'm reluctant to use unless I need to, and even when I do, I still pause in there for a moment think about him, ask him how he's doing in case he believed in an afterlife, etc. Just in case, you know, his spirit is still hanging around the place.

Probably sounds silly, huh.

I also freak out when people cut down trees, pick flowers, etc.
