nice profile, Kami.. alright... erm.. bad news.. Dawn had to wipe her whole computer system clean last night.. damn hackers.. -. -; which means everything, and I mean everything, is gone.. Doesn't help when those MFers lock my computer as well.. -. -; we even called the police to make sure and even they said it was a scam, our provider told us it was legal for them to lock my system so assuming it's legal for the police to do it as well plus they wanted to be paid to unlock my system.. like wtf.. if it was the real police, they would of been at my door rather than locking my damn labtop.. so we spent three hours trying to unlock my system.. even had Dell running around this one trying to fix it.. in the end it was, nuke that son of a bitch... so yea.. for the next day or so, I shall be busy cussing out my McAfee and everything I need to add back on.. including my tablet.. which means, Natsu.. you need to send me links for your ref again if your still wanting art.. :/

DOOD. That sucks D: I'd pull out my hair if my computer did that. I know some months ago, they locked computers for not removing a certain virus. These past few days there's a problem with java. If you have java enabled, people can hack you. I don't know if they lock computers down for it.

I don't know either, Kami.. but the police told us it was a scam and the company did a check and nothing was said about the system being locked at their end.. and you would of thought it would of shown up for them.

Yea.. they got access to my computer from the States and I guess all they saw was the normal operations while all we saw was this thing blocking the screen.. and the webcam kept going on and off.. it was freaky.. said I had broke the law and was wanting 100 pounds to unlock my computer.. was like.. if I had broken the law, the cops would of been at the door within 10 minutes.. and I am sure the cops have better things to do than take someone's computer who only glanced at something out of curiosity before going to close the thing down, I'm not that sick.. they would of found my whole system was clean.. -. - no porn of any kind downloaded, I admit okay, I pirated a few songs off of youtube but most of them, I own the cd overseas and most of the nightwish, I have the freaking cd sitting in my room, not open but I did buy it after I downloaded the songs from youtube so tech. not pirating there cause I did do the honest thing in the end.

also, might of found how the MFers got in.. my McAfee kept turning off one area.. I spent a hour last night turning that SOB on.. till I brought out the disk and reloaded that bad boy. Had to laugh when they said it said they had my location.. looked the ip address up and laughed my ass off, it showed I was in England. XD Oh my..

It's still considered pirating, it's the same concept with emulators just because I own the game it's still illegal to do it on a computer

They probably meant that the hackers put a program on your computer that asked for a payment via credit card. Kind of like those email scams where they send you to a phishing site where they ask you for personal info, and once you do that, you're done. It was a good thing you didn't send them your credit card number, otherwise they probably would have had a joy ride with it and you'd have a bigger headache than you do now.

Though you might still be able to recover some of your files. When you reinstall your system, sometimes the file data will still be on there (like traces of it), even when it's not visible to you. You just need to download a data recovery program that will recover the files for you. But the old files that reside in the sector that you install the program on or save new files on will be lost.

I was told if you own the cd, you can download the songs again from any site that offers them for free. And I more prefer to download from youtube to listen to the song the whole way cause I have listened to songs on there than bought on itunes, stuck on my ipod and hated.. plus there is a few songs I can't even get, like the one from Stargate Altantis.. you have to pirate it to get that song cause no where sells it, believe me, I spent a whole night searching for that song the legal way..

Actually wasn't asking for my credit card.. they wanted something called Ucash.. probably something you couldn't go and get the money back after you paid where a credit card, you can dispute..

And I had similar on my old labtop happen.. and I can get the files and all back.. that is no issue, my photobucket has most of the photo files.. I have to wait for Trak to get his ass back for the reference he gave me.. other than that, the games I have the discs for. :3

Mcafee sold themselves out. I've had more problems with Mcafee and Norton than any other programs out there. Etrust was somewhat okay although I don't remember if it had a firewall with it. I've had another program, and I cannot remember the name of it...but it did slightly worse than etrust. I've yet to see anything bad happen with AVG. I'm sure there are better programs out there though.

I might of walked into the one last night, I'll take the blame of that one. I changed most of my site passwords, my mom was like, why are you changing your neopets account.. I was like, mom... come here.. -pulls up side account look up and points to UC RG cybunny- Do I need to say more? Obviously she doesn't realize people steal accounts to sell those.. -shakes head-

That is true. Anything that can get a spare change, they will take.. I know Gaia is another site where people hack into other's accounts to steal items to sell for real money. :/
